While he waited for them to pass the plan around for them all to read, her knitted his fingers together and sat ponderously. His mind drew past something Malcom had mentioned earlier; the inquisitor. He settled himself calmly for a moment, and turned his mind to perceiving the currents of the force. She may have the strength to conceal herself, but if he could sense her and get a familiarity for her aura, it might give him an edge in sensing her approach in the future. Pelon can sense nothing; whoever the Inquisitor is, she is strong enough to mask her presence. Still, Pelon thinks he can sense something. He is unsure if it is the after-effects of the battle against the Inquisitor, the recent death of the Jedi, or the residual suffering of those on the planet. Thankfully, all of this confusion does not work against Pelon: so long as he keeps his head down it should aid him in remaining unnoticed by the Inquisitor as well.
The Rodian and his companion get up and leave, headed out of the door in a hurry. Turning to the window you can see several of the swoop racers running past the window; it looks like they're running from something, not to something. |

Reading the datapad upside-down from his position, Malcolm looked up as the swoop racers came sprinting past, his mind quickly piecing together that they were heading away from where they had been raicing, which couldn't be a good sign - racers only ran if there was trouble between opposing crews...Or if the police were coming in.

Zatrel barely has time to glance at the Kel Dor's datapad before the sounds of swoop engines screaming past the cantina is heard outside. Cursing under his breath he tosses the datapad back towards Pelon, causing it to clatter softly on the table.
"Yeah, I think that might be a good idea," he responds to the human's suggestion. Downing the remainder of his drink, Zatrel stands up from the table. He notices the Rodian leaving in a hurry out of the corner of his eyes, and frowns. That looked like it might be trouble. |

Kai looked about and nodded in agreement. "One moment, we should be sure its safe to leave by the front door." Swiftly he rose up out of his seat, moving out a little to somewhere in the middle of the cantina where he could see out the window, but was still somewhat concealed by the patronage.

Omemo watches as the scene unfolds around him. He simply agrees with himself to stick with this lot until they are more harmful than beneficial. Besides, some small part of him feels... comfortable with these beings. "It might be possible to trade some Creds in for less... savory forms of monetary currency, if anyone knows a way to do so."

Pelon can see a disturbance further up the street, in the direction of where the racers are. It's hard to see much considering how far away it is, however. Still, Pelon cannot see anyone waiting outside of the cantina, either by the door or further out onto the street.
Inside the cantina some other patrons notice the disturbance and crowd the windows. It's hard to hear with so many people talking, but the words "cops", "empire", and "swoops" all come up a few times. The swoop rider at the bar and his friends turns to the window, says something to his friends, and he runs into the kitchen—probably to the rear exit. "Hey!" the bartender yells. "You can't go back there!" |

Turning back to his new associates, Kai nods towards the front door. "I think we should take the regular way out, blend in with the crowd. The commotion is father up the street, so we should be okay. And we don't to make us more noteworthy when investigators ask anything." He spoke quickly in a hushed voice.

"Well whatever exit you want to use, we should just hurry up and use it," Zatrel frowns and looks around the cantine. The longer they stood around debating the less time they had. For now though, Zatrel decides to simply follow the Jedi's plan. He was the physic wizard with the glowing sword after all.

Omemo stays quiet, and lifts his cowl over his elongated head. He knew he stood out, but he wasn't trying to draw attention to him, or the others especially. "I have the Creds should the need arises." Omemo says this simply to remind himself the only real worth he has to his companions was his monetary weight. He knew it, they knew it... he hoped his wisdom and money could benefit them all... mostly he hoped it aided to save his life.

As he walked, the Kel Dor turned briefly to the wealthy Ithorian. "You mentioned it before, and it is appreciated. We shall ask you when the time comes, although i might advise you to stop saying that out loud in the less policed sectors of the city." His voice once again carried a somewhat humerous tone, while the message itself was serious.

Outside the cantina you can finally see what all of the commotion is. Further up the street, towards where the swoop racers were, you see eight of the small two-man police speeders and two of the big seven-passenger models. A few of the speeders still have someone in them but most of the police are surrounding a building, wearing their blast vests and their rifles out ready for a fight. With their armor, including a helmet, and their rifles the police almost resemble army troopers the way they are deployed.
The building they are surrounding seems to be a poorly maintained shop, probably abandoned. One officer is methodically attaching detonite to the front door, and a pair of police airspeeders circle overhead. Out among the speeders you see the Rodian from the cantina arguing with an older man in a police uniform. The Rodian is pointing at the building and is getting very heated, and the officer seems to be getting loud right back at the Rodian while shaking his head "no" and motioning for the Rodian to back away from the police line. Looking around you don't see any more police around, but you can see a crowd already starting to gather. |

Examining the scene before them with his hands laced behind his head, Malcolm's expression was one of confusion. Police usually didn't handle detonating condemned buildings, and he couldn't think of any other reason to be blowing it up, not unless...

"I don't know," the man says with a shrug. "There was a commotion, and he—" The man points at a Trandoshan, with a severed arm, wearing light battle armor and lying up against the building being attended by a paramedic. "Chased some Ithorian into that building. Heard a blaster shot from inside, but then he comes out without an arm." He shrugs again. "I don't know what happened."
Another speeder pulls up to the scene, with police on speeder bikes ahead of and behind it. An old human with white hair, dressed nicely, steps out—as do his bodyguards. Malcolm recognizes him as the town's mayor. The police officers not currently doing anything all snap to attention and try their best to look busy as he passes by, but he walks straight to the Rodian and the police officer he is arguing with. Watching this take place, Malcom is shoved by a police officer. "Back up!" he orders the growing crowd. He waves a stun baton, the energy crackling in the air, around for effect. |
