[Game Thread] The Warehouse

Rain fell in the warm summer sky over what remains of the city. Before the virus, the Golden Valley was a growing community built far out into the countryside. It now remains in ruins, a collection of dilapidated residences and businesses.
The warehouse, Goldberg Storage still managed to stand through the elements. To no wonder, it's fine stainless steel construction was intended to last with little or no maintenance. The structure seemed practically untouched over recent years.
Here, huddled amongst boxes of consumer goods, a group of robots hid from the storm. The thundering can be heard over the soft hum of the indoor lighting. Most of the solar panels on the facility had remained intact, powering the idled station.
Despite the good conditions, no industrial or commercial robots inhabit the area. A bit odd, considering the scarcity of shelter and precious power.

OOC This is where you guys come in. It's been raining over the last couple days and you've arrived at the Goldberg Storage warehouse in search of shelter. Feel free to ask me about the place and describe your machines actions. This is the first time your robots have probably met, so introductions are in order. You're currently in Section 6 near the loading/unloading bay where you each made your entrance. The other entrances have been sealed off, but the large sliding doorway in the loading/unloading bay was jammed open. The various cardboard boxes and crates are unopened, and only a few hint to their contents.

Gamma patrolled the skies (in as much as it could) and found much in the way of interesting data for its originators, if only one would come and collect its data-box. The rain was light, at first, and well within its range of comfortable programing, but that was all a wash. Eventually even the collective weight and speed of the rain and wind overcame its advanced environmental programming, and forced it to seek shelter in accordance with its stage one safety programming. Locating the large storehouse was simple, it proceeded to scan the internal components of the storehouse for biological and heat sources. Floating almost to the ceiling with its adapted flight fans, awaiting return data from its surroundings.

Give was moving around in the world, with a short directive to follow but seeing has his Operators have not being in contact he looked at his survival directives and a shelter to recharge and gather parts was the first priority, With the help of his Explorer Drone unit he located a simple Warehouse that would be suitable for what he was looking for. following that path he gathered inside this place, with his drone companions he made sure to check himself and his companions, while that happened the Explorer drone was in search for anything that would be usefull and also a power outlet to recharge his master and the other drones.

Think has been continuing with its last assignment, getting back to home base after being dropped off at a random location, for a while now. During the first night, it recognized the direction that it needed to go based on analyzing the positions of the stars and after that it set forth. After a while of not coding updates (it would often get some even during this test as the students improved the programing) and a lack of human signs along its route, it self removed the task from its objectives, assuming that something about the students was in error. It is now that it begins raining and it moved to the near by building.

One by one, Give, Gamma, and Think make their way into the warehouse. It was near a pallet of unmarked boxes the robots meet for the first time. Gamma, higher up than the others, can easily see the various power outlets in the distance, though Gamma itself didn't require such external power sources.

Gamma floated around the warehouse, unfortunately its build wasn't meant for discretion and as such was much louder than its programming would care for. It took a moment to survey what was and wasn't within the confines of the warehouse. The external outlets were of little use to it, but it did note the location for further processing. It sent out a sweeper-array from its radiation camera, double checking for any anomalies within the area.

Hive, while his drones companion still looked for spare parts, anything useful and a power outlet, he started to scout the warehouse for any source of information about what happened, something that could explain this madness, meanwhile he started to broadcast a signal to have any robots in the area that are harmed or in need of assistance gather at his coordinates, "This is a message to anyone or any robots outside that are harmed or need maintenance, gather at my location and you will receive support to the point that is inside my capabilities."

A whirl from above immediately directs its attention to Gamma. "Proximity is negligible, assistance is unrequested, appreciation is confirmed, this unit exceeds operational standards." The message is voiced in an eerily human vox, neither male nor female, but more universal in tone and form, but still clearly mechanical.

Think pauses for a momement, then activates his diagnostics. After a few seconds he responds in a fully mechanical voice, "Systems in Go Term: (n) a strong possition, (v) the development of such a possitionsabaki, no assistance required." Think scans the surrounding area, in both sight and sound.

OOC: I would make rolls, but the PDF is not on this computer and I forget how many d10s I would roll. Can I assume some sort of equitalent of the 3.5e equilvalent of Take 20 (where I spend extra time to auto-succeed.

OOC: you roll a d10 for each point in perception. A ten is auto-success and you get to roll it again. If you're looking about for interesting things, you'll need to roll (your droids need to roll as well, if you have any). The power outlets are common enough and easily seen, so you can find them without a check. There's four nearby, one in disrepair, but the remaining three seem functional.

While moving to the Power outlets to replenish his energy reserve, Hive scan specifically for any parts that can be used for Perception Check on dice threadrepairs, while his explorer drone looks for the percetion check on dice thread, he has a bio scanner too to check for life forms.same thing and any trace of life form

Hive doesn't find anything of use among the boxes and crates, his drone Explorer and the other robot Think , however, happen upon a small, torn open box filled with screws, nuts, and bolts of various makes and sizes.

Hive seeing as his explorer unit found materials, he sent his carry drone to pick up the materials and add them to the internal and external containers, while this happens he moves his explorer drone to recharge and then to patrol the outside for any menace or any harm that can come to him
