Anora: The Capitol of the nation of Anora, The city is comprised mainly of Elven and Human residents, with a small percentage being other races. The class divide is almost invisible here; as while the nobility are enriched by trade throughout the nation, the poor are taken care of by a series of programs put in place by the previous king at the suggestion of the church. The city is defended by a 40 foot tall curtain wall with steel reinforced gates and a 30 foot tall citadel in the centre of the city, which also serves as the king’s palace. It is a city of large manors, great monuments, and untold riches. Population: 32,594
Flambor: A major coastal city, Flambor relies heavily on sea trade for its survival, and as such boasts the most powerful standing navy in the nation to defend merchant fleets from piracy. The divide between the rich and poor is evident here, as rich merchant families that make up a small percentage of the population live far from the sea and the crude wooden structures of the impoverished dock workers. The population here is mainly human, with most of the rest of the population being gnomes. The city is defended by a 30 foot tall curtain wall with large gates piercing it to allow trade caravans to pass easily. The port itself is walled off from the main city, containing any would be invaders from the rest of the city should they get passed the other defenses. The main defenses are pointed seaward; ballista and catapult towers set along that section of the wall. Population: 28,729
Roenol: The city of Roenol is the largest source of metals in the nation that are not traded from the dwarves. Claiming a small portion of the nearby mountains as their own, humans and native dwarves mine deep, extracting everything from iron to gold in varying qualities that are transported from the mining camps to the city and then to the rest of Anora. The main population of the city is Humans, followed closely by Dwarves. It is not as defended as other cities, relying more on standing armies for defense. However, it does have a 25 foot tall wall and a small keep protected by a 10 foot wall. The quality of life is fairly good here, the gold from the metal trade keeps the people fairly well fed and housed.
Population: 24,690
Woodbury: The largest overland trade centre in the nation, Woodbury borders the dwarven nation of Thoros and the elven nation of Elentiel. As such it is the largest overland trade cities in the country and holds enormous sway over trade with the rest of the nation. The city is not as defended as well as it could be, the lords of the city favoring ease of trade over defenses. Its population is very integrated between humans, dwarves, and elves. The guards of the city are much more relaxed, more intent on keeping everyone happy than keeping to the letter of the law. The city is divided almost evenly by Elves, Dwarves, and Humans.Population: 30,472
Elnor: Built At the base of the river that gives it its name‘s delta, Elnor is the breadbasket of the nation. A combination of the rich soil and an almost perfect climate, The city has more or less grown around the castle built to defend the farmers and their villages. From staple crops to livestock, the land is bountiful and provides for the needs of the entire nation, including leather goods, food, and non-magical transportation. The city is defended by a 15 foot tall wooden wall, while the castle has a 25 foot tall stone wall with a metal portcullis and heavy wooden gate reinforced with steel. Most citizens of the region are landed serfs and merchants on the local lords’ payrolls. The population is almost exclusively human, though some Halflings and gnomes also live here. Population: 23,929
Aenor: Another source of metals for the nation, Aenor and Roenol are very competitive over the quality of their metals and the amounts they supply. Here, unlike Roenol, the people’s lives are much less stable and there are many poor, who are used almost like slaves in the mines. Relations with the nearby dwarven nation of Korithos are strained as the humans reach deeper and deeper into the mountains in search of new veins of ore, sometimes displacing the locals in the process. It is actually an issue, that if not resolved, could descend into rioting as one side seeks to oust the other. It is defended by a 30 foot curtain wall with an inner keep that has a 20 foot wooden wall. The dwarves hold a majority in this city, followed by Gnomes and then Humans.
Population: 25,558
Comoros: Built around several oases at the base of the Ezurian peninsula, The city began as a den of pirates preying on the ships sent out from Aenor. After several decades of rule by one pirate king after another, The Anoran navy finally defeated the pirates and installed their own rulership there, maintaining a strong presence ever since. The people there are mainly military, their families, and their support. The rest are descendants of the pirates and others that called this place home. The native population chafes under their rule, but it is held in check by the military’s might. This city is another example of one where no race has any real numerical advantage over the others, save the half-breeds who are obviously outnumbered. Population: 20,319
Illios: A coastal city, Illios and its nearby neighbor Whitby once made up the nation of Ilamor, controlling all of the Northern Iles and a small part of Northern Arenoth. At the urging of the populace, the Island nation was conquered in a bid for control over the sea trade. Since then, the people have become almost completely integrated with the nation. It is one of the only places in the nation that one can find natural pearls and has an abundance of sea born trade goods. Halflings have a small majority of the population, followed by elves and then humans. Population: 24,584
Whitby: The other great city of the once proud nation of Ilamor, the city of Whitby has never really been integrated with the nation of Anora, any and all attempts to this end resulting in city wide riots. As such, only a strong military presence keeps it from openly rebelling against Anoran rule. Even with the army maintaining a strong garrison there, the citizens still maintain the cultural makeup of Ilamor, and are proud of their heritage. The mountains near the city are the only source of Diamonds and other high quality gems in the country that is not contested land. The population is very integrated, no one pure race having a real size advantage over the other . Population: 26,786
