"I-if it's s-s-spirits this won't help, but if it's something els-se, it will." Sixtus says, clearly a bit nervous about the idea of spirits being there. A short incantation later, he too is heavily focused and lost in thought as he looks upward into the tower.

Korban glanced at the bunk beds, letting out a faint grunt before he turned back to return to the Antechamber. He relaxed slightly, as he saw no-one was there. He then walked up the stairs, to join the Knight on the second floor.

Climbing to his feet, Mal totters to the front door as the guards march into the back. Quart collects his How much was in it, by the way? cap and follows. Out the door and around the corner, performer silks melt away once more to simple leathers. As Quart replaces his empty Cap of Disguisecap to his head, an inky shading spills down into the rest of his own attire. Collecting their horse, they amble amiably down the road, discussing potential designs for the city. It is decided that Quart should remain to gather information, support, money, whatever comes along, really - as Mal will head to this mysterious tower, perhaps only fashionably late for an adventure... |

"Five of them... One of them is a potential threat, the others more manageable... They appear to be a few floors above us, and I don't believe they've felt our presence yet either. Our options are to either deal with them now so that they don't interfere with us in our sleep, or let them be and use them as a distraction so others won't think we've set up our camp here. Personally, I would prefer to investigate the matter further... It's a point of personal interest. However, I don't want to jeopardize anyone's safety. I can proceed alone if need be, I'm more than prepared to deal with them." Osiris looks to the others for any volunteers, a certain hell-bent smile upon his lips.

"I, uh." Sixtus replies, a bit unsure of himself. "I'll come along. I-I have something that m-may help." He takes a deep breath and stands at the foot of the stairs, waiting for the man who seems to talk with spirits to go ahead of him. Despite a lack of confidence in the situation, Sixtus was confident that Osiris knew what he was talking about, after all, he had found for himself that there were 5 of them up there, whatever they were. "I'd be careful. There's a lot of a-anger and s-sadness up there."

"I'll come along as well, since I'm up here I might as well. It would be best if we go directly to them and get this sorted out. Osiris, where's the first one?"

He managed to overhear their conversation when he returned to the antechamber, their quiet voices echoing down the damp walls. He wondered for a moment if Osiris could be making some sort of long-drawn joke about this, hoping somewhat that the spiritist would suddenly burst into laughter, assuring them that nothing was there. Although, that did not seem to be case.

Upon reaching the second floor, he kept his hand outstretched to the upper floors, trying to narrow down there location more precisely. "Keep your senses peeled when we reach the next floor. They might be up on the fourth floor but keep in mind that if these are in fact ghosts they could simply phase through the floor and surprise us from above. Odds are we might not even be able to see them depending on the situation... Use any means necessary to defend yourselves, and stay close."
As he passes Corbin, he nods for him to ascend first. "Should you draw their attention it'll be easier for me to pinpoint their exact location than if I went first and had to watch all directions. If I can use you as a focal point it'll be easier to discern their exact location." |

"Wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't come along," Venem commented. "I am interested in learning more about your abilities sometime, Spirit Farmer." He cracks his knuckles as they begin to advance up the tower. "I've never actually, er, fought a ghost, though. I'm not certain my own spiritual strength can affect them, but I am however confident the Golden Ice will have an effect." |

"Osiris, if you are sure they are i-in the r-room with us, Let me know. I can m-make sure everyone sees them." Sixtus adds as he follows him up the stairs.

"I have to say Venem, I'm quite interested in seeing this Golden Ice of which you speak of. The question is however, can you touch a spirit? And don't worry, if the spirits show any hostility, you will most definitely see what I am capable of... I can not only sense them, but I can manipulate their own energies against them as well... They would be foolish to try and strike me..." His lip cracked a faint smile, and he proceeded up the stairs.
"Sixtus, if you can manage such a feat, I would be forever in your debt... My own gifts are only self-sufficient I'm afraid... for now that is..." |

Venem looks down at his hands; he has been told they are as sanctified weapons now. It was all the same to him, though. The more he had to strike down evil-doers, the better. "I guess I don't honestly know the answer. But that will not stop me from attempting should the need arise." Looking to Sixtus, he adds "Definitely keep whatever charm you have ready. I would prefer to see my potential opponents." With this, Venem decides to press onward, trusting that Lyonna would catch up in time. |
