Shenanigans and Ramblings

Please feel free to use this thread for any and all out of character chatter and nonsense. Just keep it clean and relatively argument free.

Rules, game info, etc. are all being compiled at the moment. There's a LOT of information on the game world that is conveniently back at school, so it will be a while before specific details on many things are posted.

In the mean time, please go ahead and introduce yourself/say hey. I imagine everyone that will be playing this game knows each other in RL.

Hey all, this is Kingfish880's old roommate (Raj). I'll be DM-assisting this game.
For rolling characters, perhaps you can give us more detail on the type of game this will be so we'll know best how to make our characters. For example: combat heavy, rp heavy, storyline heavy, exploration heavy, realism heavy, etc.

I'd say it's relatively combat heavy with a large focus on realism. Skills will be very important and used often. I'd suggest rolling a character that can actually hit something, but if you'd like a magic character that's fine too. I'm about to update the magic rules so you can see that soon too. Pretty much there will just be fewer spells per day, no pew pew fireballs and what not, and no healing spells. So a cleric may be a bad idea.

Game mechanics have been updated to explain the changes in magic and healing. Should help with the character creation process.

I'm thinking probably a rogue, but maybe a monk as well. What about you?

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw that you made a bard. I was like "Nooo!"

Heh, I'm expecting it to end in failure. His constitution modifier is -1 so his starting HP is gonna be like 5.

Almost forgot to mention: Once you've made your character in the tools section, make it public and post a link with your character introduction.

Things should begin running smoothly once school is back in session. I ought to have all of my country information by that point anyhow.

Sahib, just so I understand this...

Readied action as in...That attack and dmg role takes place once the wolf breaks in? Even if it isn't in the same round?

In this case, once the wolf goes for the gap again (i.e. when the wolf is closest to us), that's when Alchion would go.
If the wolf moves away on his turn and the round comes back to Alchion and nothing happened, then I can pick what I do from there.

Totally forgot about both characters being fatigued. Alchion is lucky and was feeling remarkably energetic in the first 7 seconds of the fight. He's suddenly very tired though

Gah, sorry for slacking.

-2 on AC and attack rolls for fatigue. I think it's all explained in Game Mechanics thread.
