Okay, I didn't intend to cause any cerebral rupturing, but I'm not sorry, no. I assure you, Hypotia, my skills as a storyteller are highly overrated. I'm a complete hack, as you will surely see in this game, and I'll thank you all in advance not to overshadow me. Especially you, Aethera-- you talented jerk!

I'll take that as a compliment, dear.

So I'm sitting here, writing up an intro you can actually respond to, and it's rather getting away from me. Set some time aside, is all I'll say. Fun writing, though! ... Just letting you know I'm still alive. ![]() |

It begins! Mwahaha! Ha!... So - I wrote, deleted some, rewrote, and came up with this. It was originally supposed to be a simple encounter. Librarian reads magic, end of story. But this was fun, too. Sorry, Althea, for stealing so much of Garrett, but don't worry...I'll do it to the others too! At this point, it's just Althea and Hypotia - but I'll get to the rest of you soon enough! |

I'm guessing that all those underlined links are the TT tags? Just FYI, I can't view them when I'm mobile on my iPad (which is most of the time). If there's something important in them, can you post it as OOC or something? I can always go home and look at them on the desktop, but that's rather excessive amounts of time devoted to just being able to see what you wrote.

A-ha, that is good to know. Mostly, they're dice-roll jokes which I was considering using as our official format - I'll rethink that one. One is an explanation of the nickname Donagh (it means Duncan in Irish), and another is the Ogham symbol for druir, oak, which you may already know. I'd be surprised if you haven't read The White Goddess. So, no - no missing story content. ![]() Last edited by Mal Radagast; 08-05-2011 at 11:21 AM. |

Ah well, I miss out on a few jokes. I'll survive. But actually, I haven't read The White Goddess, not being big on the reading material search or having all that much time for reading either way.

Neither have I, but that's because I can't read.

For you, km, I would actually suggest Lord of Light. Also, I've just begun Viriconium, which seems to be something you'd enjoy. Last edited by Mal Radagast; 08-05-2011 at 11:21 AM. |

![]() Enjoying the writing so far, Malleus! Can't wait for the continuation. Though I'm glad it's going slowly, because I've been busy with leases and Lady friends and social whatnots lately. By the by, I finished reading American Gods a little while back, and so talk of runes by a character named Wednesday made me smile... And be really cautious of him, haha! |

I must admit to a certain similarity in purpose, if only archetypal. If you decide to follow up with Anansi Boys, I would recommend you try not to think of it as a sequel, per se. Concerning the Story, we'll give Hypotia some time and if I get antsy I'll give her a push. I don't want to push too often, but neither do I want the game to fizzle. Is it me, or do a LOT of forum games fizzle? ... Also, I should like everyone to take a look at this when you have time, and let me know if/where you find your character. Thanks! ... Fair warning to Hypotia...I'll be scribbling something out for you tomorrow unless you do first! : P Last edited by Mal Radagast; 08-13-2011 at 09:55 AM. |

I think I'd better get things moving so that more of you have a chance to post, or you'll all wander away from such a boring DM. So - I have a bit more ready, but I figure I'll let Althea run wild with a wandering of her own, and give Hypotia one more chance before I leave her behind in the library. (She can catch up later if she likes, I suppose.) Meanwhile - we can pick up Syth and Aethera in the very near future, and Snake and KM very shortly after. I do, after all, intend to tell a story here. Edit - Ahm...nice to have you back, Hypotia, but a bit confused as to your post. She's wandering the aisles, not at the desk, and I did say that she's reading the titles. They're odd titles, but not foreign. Last edited by Mal Radagast; 08-16-2011 at 12:00 AM. |

Interesting post on alignments, Mal. I'd place my character as True Neutral in this case (which doesn't change much from DnD to your interpretation), with various sidetracks in all directions.
