Sorry about the glitched dice roll. I would have just edited the post, but you know how people react to altering dice roll entries. Typo on my part. Anyways, I was planning on having decipher script check, but it got garbled. I instead rerolled and received a 6, probably failing the DC.

S'ok. Concerning dice rolls...I was considering tt tags, except that not everyone can see them. So I guess I'd say roll here if you like, then interpret into the story. Feel free to discuss here about possible interpretations of rolls before story posts, too. Any other thoughts on the matter? |

Yeah... not using TT tags will be a slight drag, since they can be so much fun sometimes. They give the idea of subtext new, almost literal meaning, eh?
But then again, in the context of this particular game, at least where dice rolls are concerned, I like the idea of making rolls separately in this-a-here thread so that the implications of various results might be discussed & interpreted more richly. |

Sorry about extrapolating your posts. I felt like I was invited to see what was going on by the other professors. Wasn't quite sure if what they were saying was in hearing range. As for my posting my excuse isn't very good, in staying at a house with no computer access for some reason (how to people live without it I will never know), so I hope that won't happen again. I can change the posts, rather than charging through, but the choice is yours.

I also like rolling here for the sake of editing story thread posts.

Don't worry about changing them - however, if you'd like to have a wander about the library, now's your chance. Take whatever liberties you like - we can write off any spells as scrolls or triggered glyphs. Perhaps Aure finds a cartography section or spots her odd reflection in a mirror. Perhaps you can try to provoke Smith into wandering after you (and thereby getting lost himself), or simply ask him about your term paper. I figure you might wish to have some fun with the setting is all. Also, yes - the dog did blink. Last edited by Mal Radagast; 08-17-2011 at 02:48 AM. |

Hypotia, please pay more attention. [This was an invalid point] You don't seem to know where you are, or whether the conversation is referring to you or someone else...you can ask these things in this thread here, if it helps. I'd much rather clear and interesting posts than frequent and incoherent ones. To everyone else - I know this thread won't be gripping your attention as other games do, but am I being confusing at all in the writing? Here would be the place to ask about it, or offer thoughts for your own characters. Or, hell, if you're interested you might come up with whatever you're character is doing now...I could work it into the story and plan. I don't know...this whole thing was just an odd idea... I am sorry. I am completely confused. I thought I was a undergrad college student, who walked into the professors and librarian's discussion. I apparently am lost in a different part of the story.

Well, one of my points there was completely invalid. However - if you don't get where you are or what's going on, ask before you post. |

For Daisy... I have been intermittently wondering about what might have brought her all the way to New York state. I suppose she has been mucking about in the mountains, but what is she doing there? I dunno... is she just backpacking, or was there some sort of crazy radical conference that brought her to the area? Maybe she attended a rally in NY and then decided to take an extended hike through the catskills since she's never seen this part of the country before (having only previously lived in Vegas & then the Pacific Northwest). Hm Hm Hmmm... |

Y'know when you hit a scratch on the dvd and you just need to skip to the next scene and hope it works? ![]() |

Any of you trail-riders feel like describing it for those of us who can't see the secret text?
