The eagle and the flying humanoid shape grapple in a struggle of life and death. Meanwhile, Cedrick looses a bullet from his sling. The missile flies true despite the fool's shaky balance, and strikes the winged humanoid squarely in the head, knocking the creature off balance so that it struggles to maintain its flight.

Llecarud stares about, unsure what to do, hoping that her summoned eagle will prevail in this contest. The eagle scrapes at the thing with its talons, and misses, but with its noble beak, the eagle rends the thing's strange yellow-blue flesh.

Cathall nocks arrow to bowstring and lets fly! The arrow buries itself deep in the enemy creature's ribs. For a moment the thing paws desperately at the air, like a swimmer caught in a powerful undertow, then plummets, dead, to the ground far below!

Their strange foe thus dispatched, the party has a chance to get its bearings and Spot Checksstudy the scene.

Silverstreak follows behind the group, at the precarious conditions. Llecarud moves back and places a hand on the wolf to reassure it. Stay calm boy, take it nice and slow and everything will be fine.
