Character Creation Rules
__________________ECL: 1 Ability Scores: 4d6 drop lowest and re-roll 1's (please make use of dice tags ((4d6rl1kh3)) HP: Max First Level then 3/4 all tohers. round down on even levels and up on odd levels Gold: Average for your class + 100 (the 100 gold was supplied by the watch) Starting Equipment: The Hamlet Watch has supplied basic equipment for the volunteers. Characters are allowed to choose from the armory... 1. 1 piece of basic light armor (Padded, Leather, Studded Leather or chain shirt) 2. 1 of the following basic sets. -A. a one handed weapon and either an light offhand weapon OR a light shield (wooden) -B. a two-handed weapon -C. a longbow with 20 arrows -D. a light weapon with a set of one of the following (10 darts/10 shurikens/3 javelins) -E. a pair of light weapons Your gold will be used to purchase travel gear. Being well prepared could mean the difference in an easy journey or a difficult one. Keep your character sheet organized! I may start with my wakazashi being a samurai right? it's just a katana and a short sword A katana being a bastard sword. They were passed down through my family and it's in the samurai thingy, they're just masterwork...if not i'm okay with just picking regular bastard sword and short sword and using them as a wakazashi.

@Trints - definitely a negative on the masterwork starting weapons but I altered option A in the starting gear to allow either a shield or light offhand
__________________@war - Unfortunately that won't be an option and you fools will be paying full price on everything. You are all lucky the watch offered free gear and a little gold. The watch considered sending you all out with some pointy sticks and a sack of rocks. =P

I'd also like to note that there will be a lot of surprises (i hope) and that all actions will have consequences (good or bad) and that there will be a lot of different hooks thrown at you all and it is up to you all to take choose what to do. heck.. you could all decide to just take the money and gear and head to another town to do whatever you want. There is definitely an end goal to this campaign and I do have plans BUT you are all welcome o make your own decisions and make your own path/plan. Once we get further into the game and you all have ideas brewing then feel free to share them. in fact.. I will make a thread solely for posting ideas you may have and we can discuss them.

If you already rolled then it is fine, but for those who haven't please be sure to use the proper dice tags for rolling stats
__________________in the tags tags type 4d6rl1kh3 rl1 means that ones will be rerolled automatically kh3 means it will keep the 3 highest numbers this saves you from having to manually add everything. also please keep character sheets organized. source all non-core content (including anything from phb2) Sample Character Sheet This is a sample of one of my character sheets.

@Trints - as far as your character sheet...
__________________- search isn't a class skill - you only spent 13 skill points, you get 16 points to spend. (2 class/1 int bonus/ 1 human so 4 X 4 = 16) - put prices next to all of your items that weren't given to you by the watch - i can't remember pricing off the top of my head for all the supplies you bought but you start with 140gp so be sure it's all calculated correctly. (i'll double check once you add prices) if you need a model to go after look at the sample sheet i provided. Be sure to view the notes at the bottom for additional things you can add that helps me out.
