You have incorrectly issued an order to someone of equal rank, and that is Treason. Friend Computer, I ask that you please stop this terrorist from further attempting to harm me. Last edited by NEON725; 09-29-2011 at 09:25 PM. |

Ah, except R-clearance is typically not afforded to treacherous dogs attempting to fool Friend Computer, as exemplified by his open admittance to doctoring records, as shown by exhibit A:

Are you suggesting that The Computer was capable of being fooled and made (gasp) a mistake? Friend Computer saw fit to promote him to Red, so he must be worthy of trust. The computer is Infalible isn't it?

I beg you, Friend Computer, to eliminate this terrorist. Such dogs are not worthy of being part of your utopia.

Additionally, the classified personnel files to which you alluded earlier have been updated.

But of course Friend Computer is infallible, or else he would be faulty and therefor not be Friend Computer. I was merely demonstrating both the foolhardiness and treachery of our mutual acquaintance in making such assumptions! Should I have made a mistake in thinking to highlight the obvious truths that Friend Computer will no doubt have already seen, I would beg forgiveness, pleading my case that I only wish to demonstrate that Friend Computer has made a wise choice in promoting myself, and that I would never dream to access the information that the other party was promoted, since it resides in some Clearance level I'm not authorized to speculate upon.
__________________By the way, i might also draw attention to the disclosure of such a promotion, which was most certainly above my Clearance and so I request mind-wiping immediately. I wouldn't wish to know anyone who is so careless with his data. Last edited by BangBangTequila; 09-29-2011 at 10:17 PM. |

Please see the following excerpt from documents that the Computer has recently declassified.

Of course, of course. The knowledge that Friend Computer has promoted you, however, is not knowledge of rank but knowledge of personal interaction with Friend Computer, something well beyond my own Clearance, despite my ambition to one day attain a Clearance level in which i could know such things.
__________________Given your valuable insight into these declassified documents, i humbly withdraw my desire for your summary execution, but maintain a punishment is due. Perhaps a mild fine upon his Credit would be in order... I accused nothing of the sort, but rather provided the recording of you saying you modified your records. I, of course, would never dream of modifying any records, since that's impossible as far as I know. |

Ooc
Do we roll for our attributes or use a point buy?

There are an almost infinite number of people in the complex, so knowing each other is unlikely. You will meet up in the briefing for the first mission.

Not to be insubordinate, but while there's an abundance under Skills, there does not seem to be anything on attributes, after reading it three times...

We have attributes? I assumed there were only skills.

Straight from the core book, under character generation step 3. Attribute Generation:
__________________Quote:
Random Allocation: Roll one ten-sided die for each attribute, in order. After you've done this, decide whether you would like to risk rerolling any one attribute of your choice. If you reroll an attribute, though, youmust take the second result—even if it is lower than the first. Add up the numeric values of your attributes. If you have less than 40 points, you have a fairly pathetic character. If you want, whine and moan to your gamemaster and try to get her to let you roll up a new character or maybe promise you "special considerations" later on in the game. She doesn't have to, but it probably won't hurt to ask. Attribute Allocation: Okay, you rules lawyers, you've got a chance to take control. You have 60 points — spread them out over the eight attributes any way you want. Well, you do have to keep the numbers from one to 10 (no, no zeroes in Power, hoping you don't get a mutation), but that's it. Finished? Good. Oh, btw, i have the PDF rather then the hard copy (I couldn't find it at the game store, so until they get it in i have to settle for a soft copy...) but this puts me in a position where I can copy and paste rather then having to type it all out, if you want...
