Yeah. That clears it up for me. A lot. Thank goodness it was cleared before I bought a 5th edition handbook.

Feel free to pick your secret society yourself, and your mutant powers. post them with your character sheet, inside the secret tags. Once you have all finished your sheets I will create a private thread each and give you all your custom information, treasonous skills (like Marital Arts ect) and general info about what you know about the society that the others probably don't.

Ahhh, damn me for reading 5th edition first. I just realized what the firm means to me. Completely different then what it means in 5th. Eff.

I am most impressed by the attention to detail of my fellow citizens. In the less than 24 hours I have looked away from this secure chat site, I find three pages worth of detailed treason messages and I see evidence that all of my comrades-to-be have made their mark on society. I hope you will all forgive me for going to bed early last night and (good heavens) waking up at ten this morning. I shall endeavor to improve my reaction time.

Ha! I knew someone would mention it.
__________________It isn't a typo. ![]() Knowledge of 'squicky' stuff like that is treasonous and largely useless since Friend Computer helpfully pumps us full of drugs that negate such urges. Higher clearance citizens may choose to forgo those drugs for various recreational purposes, but even KNOWING about what can happen between a pair of concenting citizens is considered Treason at Red.

Thank goodness for Friend Computer and the drugs. Otherwise I might find that being over there with the curvy jumpsuit alluring. I have heard of this "allure". I think it's a weapon.

__________________Took me far too long to figure that out. FML. Hmm diddly. I wonder about skill allocation. Is this game such that we're going to run out of clones at a truly alarming rate, or can I count on doing a mission or two before being totally out in the cold... Tricky. The optimizer in me is a little disturbed at the system. The player in me is hysterical with excitement. The fact that I'm totally inexperienced makes me want to be good at everything... Are you going to allow for social skills to be rolled or require everything to be roleplayed like mad? IE if I'm waning eloquent, can I still get a good roll and accomplish something? I like to think of myself as well-spoken and fairly clever, but everyone has an off day. I'd hate to be the character from 3.5e who maxes charisma and diplomacy but whose GM never let's me roll the skill because "I should roleplay it out". Well you know what, screw it. I'll just be a thug instead. John Smash Commie Scum! Last edited by BangBangTequila; 09-30-2011 at 12:17 PM. |

To those who dare accuse this citizen of treason: I will have it known that "comrade" is a word for a fellow soldier, or in this instance, a fellow troubleshooter. It is appalling how quickly multiple citizens jumped to conclusions after this citizen spent weeks in hospital regaining the use of an arm and a leg, and healing from bodily burn wounds from the explosion in a tech services area. How dare you accuse me? I am a Friend of The Computer!
__________________![]() EDIT: I should also like to point out that there is more than one typo in that snippet, though as The Computer has removed Latin from common data retrieval, it is acceptable that these lowly citizens do not know how to spell 'et cetera' and thusly overlook the improper abbreviation. How dare we? I believe the Computer was the one that accused you. (Moridain is roleplaying the Computer.) Though the logic as such is above my clearance level, it must be true. Please step into the incineration chamber.

Friend Computer, BangBangTequila is holding dangerous contraband, and has admitted to an unlawful search. Please do as you see fit.
