For each of our missions, I will create a thread called a Case File. The case files will contain all the relevant exposition and briefing info for each mission. Some of our quests will be a bit more organic and may not have a briefing file, but for the more structured, standard, by-the-book Concern missions, your missions will start with the case file. You can of course ask questions in the Case File threads, but the Case File threads will be "in character," so keep that in mind. Questions will be answered by your boss, handler or MUOI, the supercomputer that serves as reference database and administrator for the Concern.

I've also created a thread called the "Ready Bay."

This is also an in character thread that you will use to introduce your character and describe them before our first mission and in between other missions. It's the place to strategize with the other members of your team, request special equipment, etc.

Just throwing this out there as it's what I did for my own I called it Lu'Gir
Superior Crossbow=Magic Gun Artificer and you might like it. Mine fired concentrated residuum shells, which I forged myself via Create Magic Item. The value was exactly that of a normal crossbow bolt and I could do it during an extended rest. If yours is more of an energy blast it could be a residuum cell that needs to be ejected when spent.

@HtF: You mention 20 point buy in the character thread. Standard is 22 point buy. Typo or no? I can drop my Con a point without hurting too badly if I have to.

That.....is awesome. Definitely a consideration. However, with MUOI and the handlers procuring special eqiupment, I don't think I'll have an issue.

Yeah go with the 22. I was going off the initial value of the Character Builder for ability scores and couldn't recall what the standard point buy was.

Speaking of which, what was the final decision made about statistics for firearms? In the recruitment thread, you said "I think I'll be keeping it relatively simple, such as making firearm proficiency a feat and reflavoring crossbows to give them the brutal quality and some extra damage." Will this be holding true?

btw, what was the final decision on re-elementing Devil's Pawn? Cold, Necrotic, or leave it as Fire(honestly considering the new Black Flame Zealot powers they've added to Assassin I could keep it as Fire element)?

And yay/nay to the Diplomacy check applying to Undead related instead of Demon related? Considering we're about to come up against a whole mess of undead this seems relevant to nail down

Does MUOI have speech or keyboard interface? It occurred to me that starting my post with Seven being confused on how to operate a computer wouldn't work if he could talk to it.

Hmm...yours is definetily a special case, with the sniper rifle and all.

How about we reskin the Superior Crossbow, but up the Damage to D12 and add the Brutal 1 quality. We will also up the range to 40/80. While a sniper rifle will certainly have a longer range than that, 4e encounters aren't really going to be taking place at miles-long distances. If there is some sort of circumstance where Irvine is posted up at long range to snipe some dudes, we can deal with that situation when we come to it. But if you want Irvine to try and take a long range shot outside of a typical encounter, we can set that up when the situation arises.

And obviously you will have to spend a feat (Weapon Proficiency: Sniper Rifle).

Yeah. You can rework the damage to Necrotic or Cold and change the Diplomacy check to undead.

And regarding MUOI, it is a speech interface, that understands billions of languages (eat your heart out, C-3P0).

As agents of the Concern, you've all been fitted with psionic chips that allow you to understand the languages of your team members. (Like the psychic translator feature of the TARDIS from Doctor Who), so the language barrier between party members will not be an issue.
