Devon keeps moving and fires an arrow at the goblin under the tree but the arrow disappears into the field beyond him. Eli charges towards the goblin under the tree but Rhyne’s arrow passes by him and finds a home in the gut of the goblin. The beast falls back, his unseeing eyes staring up into the tree. The map will come soon, probably in the morning. |

Despite the pain, Miffin ignores the arrow that dug a painful gash into her shoulder. As the dog flees, she swings at it one last time. While she hopes to knock the dog out of the fight so she may later tend it's wounds, she knows there are more immediate concerns that the abused canine. "Spirit of the wolf, send me your aid!" she bellows. The spirit of the wolf answers her plea, creating a massive wolf in the midst of the goblins, which snaps at one of the bowmen. |

As members of your party begin to hop over the wall, the goblin leader takes off into the partially collapsed building. The other two goblins stand their ground, at least for now. As Rom runs towards the one standing on the rubble, an arrow shatters when it hit’s the stone wall. Eli isn’t as lucky but he only receives a small gash on his leg when a goblin arrow passes by. At another corner of the building, a goblin hides in the rubble and tries to put an arrow in Rhyne. He is unsuccessful as the half-elf hides behind the wall.
__________________Miffin uses her power to call on a large wolf that appears in the midst of the goblins. He tries to take a bite out of one but only gets a bit of tattered cloak. The other dog, the mangy mutt that fights with the goblins, is not running off. It turns and races back towards Miffin, trying to take a bite out of her. Using her leg to guide Dingo, she easily dodges the pathetic creature. Trying to get closer to the main action, Devon hops over the wall and nears the back corner of the building with his sword drawn. Rom is already over the wall and moving up to the goblin trying to use the rubble as protection. It isn’t enough. The half-orc’s sword slams into the goblin, nearly tearing it in half. Eli is also nearing the goblins, despite slipping as he tried to leap onto the old stone wall. He isn’t quite close enough to them yet, though. Rhyne stands over the wall and fires an arrow at the goblin above. Unfortunately, the arrow disappears into the dark interior of the structure. As the battle rages on you suddenly hear a scream. “Help! No! Let me out!” You are reminded that the front of the large stable is still on fire.

A low moan comes from Miffin's lips as the mangy dog comes at her once again. Is this beast deranged?

Faced with a choice between combat and looking for an innocent who might be lost, Romulus would normally choose finishing the combat, so as not to be distracted during the search, but sometimes, such as when there is a burning building in the equation, that choice isn't always as clean cut and so, having dropped his foe, he calls upon the divine power within him and heads into the barn at a Movement 80, ignoring difficult terrain for the round, Darkvision, Perception:
