There was some grumbling towards Thurin's light-bearing skills, but the psion reminded them that he couldn't actually read minds. "I assumed that you could at least see me, and thus know when I was moving!" he muttered. "Not my fault if you don't want to follow along..."

Kaddim-sul looked a little surprise, but his rather alien features didn't show it too much, "Yes, of course its you. Welcome back. I thought you dead at the hands of a vampire", he mentioned recalling the mist from earlier on the previous level of the pyramid, "Oh and I wouldn't advise you do that to Moth. Those are attached and not a costume"

Nalla gave a light warning growl to the Deva when he began to harass Moth, but let the genasi take the lead as he obviously knew the newcomer. She did, however, make sure to note to the others what she had seen. "Before we continue too far, there is what seems to be a door over here. I do not know how many noticed, but it may be useful to us."

Quote:
The warforged snapped his hand out and slaped the deva's hand as it darted for Moth then addressed him in a familiar, deep, metallic voice with a hint of mischief to it. "Stop that! She is under my protection and deserves more respect than your overly curious hands would show her." One of his lighted eyes winks at the angelic being. The winged girl grimaced a little when the Deva grabbed ahold of her wing and a sharp "ow!" when he tugged on them and lifted her off the warforged's shoulder. She seemed about to do something in retaliation when Bastion stepped in on her behalf. Her small wings flittered a few times as she descended lightly back down on the steel shoulder. She stood back up to her full 7-inch height, fanning her offended wings slowly. "I would advise you not to try that again," she told Elbryan. A malice not seen before seemed to spark in her eyes as she gazed upon the Deva.

"By the noses of undead trolls!" Elbryan gasped when the wings of the small pixie did not budge. "Seems you will be one to watch, tiny one." Elbryan muttered before he fully focused onto the warfarged that his hand somehow snaked past. "My word! Arefoor, it is you! Who would have thought you would still be working! My good graces, that is a surprise." Elbryan laughed his greeting as he slapped the old companion on his metal shoulder.

Bastion took the slap in stride - in fact he didn't move at all but he did respond favorably.

Even Thurin stopped as Nalla pointed out the carefully hidden secret door. Whilst Elbryan was getting (re) acquainted with the group, the others moved towards the door, studying it. Unlike the last hidden doorway, this one was roughly the size of a normal door, and would easily allow all of them passage. From the outside, there was no clear way of closing it, so once it was opened, they would probably only be able to close it from within. But Nalla felt confident that she could push it open, with a solid enough thrust.

Gak'aruk put her "doll" away once more before approaching the door. "Is way out?" She asked aloud, not waiting for an answer. The hairy gnoll pushed open the door with both hands. She was still confused about the group's goals. They seemed to not be looking for the exit as sane people would, so she'd have to "help" and hope to accidentally find it!

"I doubt its a way out, Gak'aruk, but lets at least see which way it goes. The large corridor we are in goes along another 50ft before it turns left. It also slopes up slightly. I can't see any other doors between here and the corner", pointed out Kaddim-sul, having forgotten his eys of coal see more deeply into shadow than the others, "Nalla, lets get this thing open. If you need help, Bastion is your second"

"Standing by!" Bastion turns his head to look at Moth. "Know anything about this?"

The minute woman remained suspiciously watching the latest warrior to join the group. She did however respond to Bastion's comment with a shake of her raven-haired head. Moth placed a hand on her hip, leaning that way and waiting as the Gnoll made the decision for everyone and tried to open the doorway she had found. Maybe this was a way to bypass the pet after all.

Bavak had been quiet, the effects of the medicine had taken a toll on him and his head was just clearing up. What is...where...I apologize what exactly is going on. I remember breathing in the medicine and the rest is a haze. His vision coming back to focus Bavak finally noticed the presence of the other Deva, but said no more to hide his emotion.

"Hmm, a door. Doors are always fun!" Elbryan exclaimed as he walked up near the group gathered around the door. "But don't forget, its rude to barge in! Don't forget to knock first, and if they don't reply, yell "Hellooo" in through a cracked door, so you dont sneak up on anyone. Even bad guys hate surprises, and there is no excuse for being rude!"
