So im equating Truth's negative Charisma to him just being very socially awkward and uncomfortable talking to people in large groups.

That is how I play a negative stat, which is why I am personally very leery of giving one to myself; Not always, sometimes it fits a character too well not to.I generally choose to give myself fewer high stats, rather then a low stat.
Sometimes its fairly fun to play a low stat, though. Try dex sometime, you can walk into everything legitimately! Last edited by Duderk; 03-16-2012 at 12:07 PM. |

In a game of DnD I am playing that starts on monday (Actually in sessions not Play by post) I am playing a Eladrin Paladin. Originally I was going to have a negative intelligence and that would have been strange to play. Now that he is Eladrin though his racial bonus covers it back to 10 Int.

Years ago, I was DMing a game of 3.5 for my usual group. One of the players couldn't make it for this particualr session, so I invented a dwarven NPC "companion" to fill the gap. The players first encountered him sitting along the roadside, his left leg permanently wounded (DEX being his dump stat), begging for change. He didn't have a name (partly because he was evicted from his clan and his name stripped, partly because I was too lazy to name a temporary NPC) so, due to his constant limp from a "club" foot, the players started calling him "Club."
It's been... seven years, and Club has made an appearance (in one form or another) in every D&D game I've run. I've never played him as a PC, strangely enough. |

Heh. Did an evil one-shot once, rolling for stats. My wacked out buddy rolled 4 1s, then 4 6s. He went Half-Orc (oh, right, 3.5), so he had a 3 Int and a 20 Str. He was playing the whirling whatever barbarian from Unearthed Arcana, so when he raged, he got extra attacks.
Anyway, he decided to play the 3 int by rolling randomly on tables he kept writing as we played. At the climax of the fight, by virtue of his roles, he climbed a tree, pooped like a monkey (aka into his hands), then raged and attacked the bad guy. He critted with both attacks. Did I mention he was fighting unarmed? Yeah, double-critical-poop-fisted. Exploded the dude's chest. Juvenile? Yes. Awesome? Maybe. Went down in our group's collective memories? Absolutely. |

sammich, that is an AWESOME story!
Sadly, reminds me of Fighter, from 8-bit Theater, who on more then one occasion was referenced as being "too stupid to die", namely when he was walking around with a dagger through his brain, and no noticeable difference to his intelligence. |

I actually had a friend play a dwarven fighter with 6 int. This was before 8bit and he was actually fighter down to a T. Man it was funny. And each time I read 8bit thats all I coudl think abaout.
