I'm a 20-odd year old human male college graduate looking for a job in the midwest when I'm not getting sucked into this site
__________________ . I've been roleplaying for about 4 years, and doing pbp on this site for about 6 months. I'll get my character sheet up ASAP.Anyway, hi everybody! EDIT: Oh, and I just copied and pasted my application into the character thread. Do you want us to make our character history and RP sample public? I don't mind making mine visible, but I don't want to show them mine if they won't show me theirs

__________________Looks like I'm the pops of the group so far...33, four kids ages 1-7. I've been away from pbp and any form of pen and ink for almost ten years. This is my fourth game started since I've been back and am LOVING it! Not to mention I'm getting my oldest into RL PF. So I'm pretty excited to be back in general, and starting my first PF game as a player. I'm also still deciding what to do when I grow up, and "aspiring author" is on my current list of career options, [shameless plug]so follow the link in my sig and read my story![/shameless plug] I'll get my character posted soon. Good question about the secretiveness, Ange. I'll wait for guidance on that as well. Can't wait to see you guys in game! EDIT: Done. Feel free to once-over my CS. @Bewildered Kobold: How closely are we going to be following encumbrance rules?
__________________Caladrel currently has 10 strength, pretty much dead average. That makes his "light load" weight 33 pounds. I'd like his "default gear" to be: +1 adamantine dagger: 1 lb +2 mithral chain shirt: 12.5 lbs Belt of Incredible DEX +2: 1 lb Cloak of Resistance +1: 1 lb Bag of Holding Type I: 15 lbs 3 Belt Pouches 1.5 lbs (w/2 potions, 1 wand) Noble's Outfit with Jewelry 10 lbs This comes out to weigh a grand total of 42 pounds. According to the rules, this is a medium load, which puts a number of penalties on my character. However, this looks like a pretty reasonable getup to me, and not one that should slow down a person of average strength. So can you hand-wave it a bit and let me fudge the encumbrance numbers slightly? Or are we being by-the-book about this? Last edited by DukeofTuring; 03-12-2012 at 11:25 PM.

Introduction
Hello everyone,
I’m a twenty-six year old male from the northeastern portion of Mississippi/United States, currently working as clerk/produce manager while saving up money to return/finish my schooling. I’ve been role-playing for roughly the last five years having cut my teeth on 3.5e D&D before diving into 4e, and having Pathfinder become my bread & butter system of choice over the last two years. In other words, I’m somewhat a nerdy, redneck...  After some vigorous prodding from a rather pointy stick to the back of my head by a friend of mine, I decided to take the plunge into finally DMing my first game, but I have to admit that this is a rather new venture on my part. So don’t laugh too hard as I stumble around like a moron for a little while… I should have things kicking off with a little free-from role-playing with the characters within the city during the festival, sometime tomorrow afternoon… @ DukeofTuring: We’ll go with what seems sensible and fudge the encumbrance numbers slightly because that seems a reasonable enough load to carry. As for the character backgrounds and RP samples, I would like those to be kept secret from the other players to allow that to come out during role-playing… @ Ange & Red Pilgrim: Happy Birthday, Now Cast Wish & Slay the Dragon…

DMing isn't too hard, particularly over PbP. Just remember to strike a balance between giving the PCs what they want, not giving them what they want, and giving them things they don't want. We'll try and be understanding/helpful too.

__________________I've got his most important gear on his character sheet, but all the little mundane stuff in his bag of holding I'd rather keep track of on a spreadsheet if I could. I copied and pasted his entire inventory into the "secret" part of my character description. BK, you can look if you'd really like to. But if you don't mind, I'd rather not use the cumbersome DnD Online Games character sheet system to keep track of all of it.

Added my character sheet. I've got about 3,000gp to spend still, but I'll get to that soon.
__________________And yes: my AC is crazy high. I was surprised myself when it all added up. O_o Of course, I'm totally boned if I'm flat-footed, and I definitely don't do much in the way of damage, but it's a pretty interesting character build so far.
