Aetius emerged from the tunnel, coughing and spitting snow. For some inexplicable reasons, his best methods of calming his body did not work, and his heart was beating as if he was in full sprint. The ranger was bruised from top to bottom, and he could taste blood in his mouth. He could feel his blood flushing to his frozen limbs, igniting a tingling, burning sensation that sent him stumbling for support. His voice was slurred through split lips, "My thanks, I own you one."

The deafening roar echoed off the collapsed cave before the ranger could fully recover. He automatically reached for his weapon, and to his astonishment, found it mostly intact. He mumbled, causing the swelling welt on his lips to throb painfully, "Something tells me that the master of this cave fare even worse than we did."

Frantically helping with what little strength she could, Larissa helped pull her companions from the avalanche, anxiety at her clumsy attempt to aid the rescue being replaced by a sense of relief. Drawing a familiar wand out of her belt, the tiefling examined her rescued companions for wounds. While she waited for Tulis to finish speaking, however, the creature's roar quickly pulled Larissa's away from any thoughts of healing and rest. Panicked by the loud and aggressive sound, she reached instinctively into her spell component pouch and began searching for the eyelash in resin required for a spell of invisibility before she thought better of it and forced herself to stop. She was, after all, the only member of the party capable of speaking with the creatures, and if there were to be any hope of resolving this peacefully she would need to be talking and calming, not hiding.

Adopting a friendly but concerned face, Larissa quickly turned around to face the source of the noise, speaking as she turned. "Re wux kepatmasto?"
