I always loved the professor. Stick a couple of spells on him and he would be killing monsters all over the place.

Oh, that was another one, Naturax! There's a Seer or something that gets a third hand that she can use with one-handed spells ("Third Eye"). Soooo much Magic damage.

Now that the game has started I wanted to give everyone some advice:

I'm actually looking at picking up the Innsmouth expansion as my first expansion for the game. Miskatonic one seems to be the "expansions for the expansions" box, and the others, while looking interesting, don't draw me as much as the Innsmouth one. (and have already played with the King in Yellow, Dark Pharaoh and Dunwich expansions, and wanted an entirely new one for me chew/choke on
)

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your participation in The Stars Are Right.
However, due to the fact that all game conversations happen in private, none of you are aware that there are so few people actively playing that I feel it unfair to allow them to continue for another couple of weeks as the only couple of players at a table of eight. Therefore, I feel that it is my responsibility to end the game rather than drag it out for another few weeks. I am entirely responsible for this lack of engagement. Thanks to the feedback I have received thus far, I have learned that I need to prioritize the following three improvements to FactionRPG: 1. create an intuitive user interface 2. host www.factionrpg.com on a much faster server 3. publish rules that are easy to understand I am excited to begin work on these changes. However it will take me months to complete the work, and in the meanwhile I will not be running any FactionRPG games. I would love to hear any additional feedback that you may have. Further, if you know anyone willing to donate some time in order to assist me with the improvements that need to be made, it would be much appreciated. Once again, I am extremely grateful that you spent time on this game in its current state. The feedback I have gathered from this process has been invaluable, and I hope you will give FactionRPG another chance when I try again. |

What kind of help do thou need?

The site has no design whatsoever, and it needs one.
I need someone comfortable with AJAX to help build an actual user interface. I need someone to re-write the rules with examples. I need testers. I can eventually do all of these things myself, but it would certainly go faster with help. |

I can't do AJAX, but I can write and I can test.

Neat! Did you notice anything in the rules that you think needs clarification?

Cool! So I think what is really needed is some examples. Showing what the game would look like between, like, four factions, that demonstrates all the different actions and what they look like from different points of view. I'd love some help putting something like that together.
Any ideas for a generic setting that people would "get" on a first read? |

Yeah, that's a fine plan. Sound like something you're interested in taking a first stab at?

If I can find the time I can write something up. What is it exactly that you would like?
