This marks me as an magic user. Feron replies as he gestures to the golden eye on his neck. I simply wish to know where her alligences lie because I for one have no intention of ever being captured by the church again. The name is Feron.

just don't use magic and you'll never have to worry about it. or move to another continent.

My abilities manifested when I was a boy, and my parents informed the church of them. They came to me in the middle of the night and abducted me, then branded me. Feron says with annoyance in his voice. Believe me I have no intention of becomming a guest of the church ever again. If its possible I seek to remove this mark and get on with my life, without the church looking over my shoulder. That is the reason I returned here.

**The area now illuminated by the small wax candle you peer down the desolate tunnel. The walls are dark stone and dirt barely chiseled from the earth. Peering down the path the tunnel goes straight right into deeper shadows. The walls are unadorned and a slight breeze carries the scent of blood. After moments breaking the chatter of the group a slight clicking noise is heard, reminiscent of the sun glyph being pushed into the wall to reveal the passage, from the direction of where they just came from.

Frantisek turns towards the noise, putting his hand back on the handle of his blade. Do we have more visitors? he asks gruffly, his mind always on alert is racing, wondering what might be next on this already crazy day

From the spontaneous attack to the pitch darkness all of this had occurred to Zethainia in a daze. She worried heavily for the guard outside, but didn't show it. She had waited for this moment to prove herself has a warrior and to separate herself from the others at the academy. To Feron's comment, she choose to ignore his plea for violence as it wasn't important to her right now. Her gray armor shimmered in the dull light of the candle as moved to the front of the group towards the passage way. She speaks to the crowd with in a bold pitch, although with a sigh,
"My name is Zethainia Blacksword, and yes I am indeed a knight of the holy order. However," She then unsheiths her Greatsword classed in gray, "I would prefer denying your destruction instead of being the cause of it, mage or not." "Now...what is the cause of this disturbance?" |

How noble Feron replies as he looks toward the sliding door they just came through. He lays the torch that he had been holding onto the ground and he draws out his crossbow, and he pulls the string back and loads a bolt into the bow. He walks away from the torch and takes up a position opposite the door and off to the side at an angle so that he could fire without hitting Zethainia standing in front of the door. Feron stands at the ready, not yet sighting in the door, No need to further provoke the knight he thinks to himself. So whats the plan, are we going to try to hold them here or shall we make a run for it.

Zethainia exclaims in a gallant tone, "Those who don't wish to die stand back behind me and hide. I'll end this all with my sword!"
I have to get out of here and head outside She thought to herself, sitting on the sidelines while chaos is amounting did not bode well with her. Gritting her teeth, she stands forward out in the open while going into total defensepositioning her sword in front of her. |

Frantisek walks up to the young knight and says in a calm tone "Blacksword, there's two outcomes...either the cleric guards come through that door or the arcane mages come through. In either case were outmatched both in terms of power and teamwork. You'll have other chances to show your valor lass, for now let's show some discretion and get moving"

Carrying the candles The red robed man doesn't flinch as he heard the click and the scent that fills the air. These people are going to get me killed with their rash actions..... Put those blasted things away, its just someone opening the door from down the hall. he holds his candles with his arms. outstretched so as to allow maximum illumination from the small flames. he makes his way down the corridor as if walking down a street with not a care in the world.

Idiot! Zethainia screams to herself,
True she may have acted rashly and in truth this was not like her, but given all that has occurred she had to ensure the safety of these citizens in this hectic environment. Dragging her greatsword behind her in the hard dirt, she walks up to the man clothed in red, "Fool! You do not know what is behind that door!" She grasp her hand on the scarlet cloth and pulls him roughly behind her, "Stand behind me and wait!" It would befall on her duty and crush her honor as well has her moralities if she allowed the situation to degrade. So she would see to it that no one would get hurt in her presence. She then turned her back to the group, "The rest of you walk down that passageway, I shall cover you from the rear in case the worse should happen." |

HAHAHA! no need to worry little one, just think for a moment. would the casters know of this secret passage?
__________________Even if they did, they could have conjured an animal and sent it in to attack us or sent a ball of fire to kill us. All I'm saying is, if the casters out there are a shoot first and ask questions later they deserve to be branded for killing the innocent which would just aid in fueling the churches crusade. The man shakes his head like a father disappointed in his offspring before letting out a heavy sigh. I'm not for the church or for the casters and because of this I can see both sides for what they are and the repercussions of their actions without being pregidous I will kill anything that tries to do me harm, and I will have a word with their superiors and have them punished as well for letting such recklessness befall the ranks. He turn and looks at the group. so when you tell me that there is something dangerous up front, is it the clerics you are afraid of or is is the clerics? hmmm? The robed man keeps walking down the hall muttering to himself. Last edited by Evil Pie; 04-29-2012 at 01:28 AM. |

Potential danger forward or sure danger the way we came, I'll gamble on the unknown instead of the unbeatable. Frantisek answers the red robed man. To Jason and Feron he asks You others coming?. He starts walking towards the red robed man, but not before leaving a word for the maiden knight "Blacksword, you saw what those casters could do. You know the power of the clerics. You'd buy us nearly zero time if you stay here to martyr yourself. We can debate and talk all of these issues once we get out of danger." he leaves it at that and walks towards the man's candlelight
