Post of the Month Winner Announced! New Contest Open!
Another month and another selection of wonderful posts for our judges to wade through. Now, with no further delay: the Post of the Month winner for June 2012 is ... Darkling! You can read Darkling's winning entry here. Please congratulate her for her exemplary work. D&D characters are people too, and much as we might want to ignore it, they have boring, mundane duties and chores they have to deal with every day - just like the people who play them. In her post, Darkling embraces that fact and turns a simple, boring task into an opportunity to delve into her character. As she works, Morrigan's thoughts turn to recent events and difficult choices, providing us all a clear window into the workings of her mind, but leaving us guessing which path she'll take in the future. While the description starts to lean toward perhaps too much detail, it never becomes burdensome, and we're happy to award this post with Post of the Month honors for June. The other nominations for June 2012 can be read here. Each is an exceptional entry and well worth the read. The PotM contest for July is going on even as you read this. Be sure to nominate your favorite posts from the month of July. |
