Shite! Powerful. Too powerful.
__________________If it does 4d20 damage, and can be nabbed by 1st level characters, it's too powerful. You could blow the military vehicles in the book apart with this. I'm sorry, but any weapon that can take out a tank should not be able to be wielded by level ones. |

Hmm... I was about to say it's still too powerful, considering that no weapon deals more than 1d12 damage, then I realised that, in d20 Modern, that's not the case. It's still rather powerful, but it might work out to be okay, especially at higher levels, when you're losing your multiple attacks per round to use one.

ok, my bad. It's not to be used in vacume becaue it doesn't work the way I said it did (oops...) REALY it's shaped like a saucer with a handle, when you push the button, 10-12 little shaped charges fly out about a foot and detonate simaltaniously, creatng an expanding hemasphere of hypersonic terbulance (the shockwave). without air, it doesn't create that terbulance. same damage, editing the range now...

Ok... see, your problem is, there is no 1 foot range. D&D works in 5 ft. increments.

This is a weapon from The Long Habit of Living by Joe Haldeman. It's called a Shattergun. it's very cheap, comes in boxes of 6, and it's a one shot throw away weapon. About 15 cm long, it's shaped like a saucer with a handle. Dead easy to use (no proficiency needed) you just point and pull the trigger. The saucer (actually a pattern shaped charges) is flung forward by a propellant. After traveling about a foot on a flat trajectory, the charges detonate, creating an expanding hemisphere of hypersonic turbulence directed away from the user. NOT TO BE USED IN VACUME is printed in bold red letters on the side of the box and weapon.
