"Sir Flaergan, I am Jonathan Marius of the Order of the Golden Lion. It is a pleasure to meet you Captain. I am sure we will see each other again in the future, especially if we can aid in solving this problem you speak of. What are the details? If it is not against my code I would be more than happy to assist. I don't want to speak for the others here but I am sure they would help as well They have shown compasion for others afterall." Jonathan allows the peacebinding of his weapon and continues to stand with his hands clearly in front of him untill the weapon is bound and handed back to him. He restraps the sheath and sword to his back then allows his hands to ease to his side in a more normal position. Last edited by rasone77; 01-26-2006 at 10:42 AM. |

OOC: For color, click the "Go Advanced" button to see all sorts of new options. Or, you can put "COLOR=DarkGreen" or "COLOR=DarkRed", for example, inside brackets, but you have to remember to put "/COLOR" inside brackets to end the effect (similar to HTML, but in brackets, and with a slightly different format).
Jerrhoia, seeing Tabatha cringe at bit at the half-elf remark, abruptly apologizes, "Oh, I did not mean to pry, please forgive me. I... I had a ... friend, you see, when I was younger, who rather... looked as you did..." Jerrhoia's eyes seem to unfocus a bit, when Flaergan interrupts. "Well, let's have those weapons, then." Jerrhoia carries all of your weapons inside the building, while the five of you and Flaergan stand outside (with the two ruffians still tied up in their cart). "Well," the knight says, "actually, there have been a few... rather suspicious folks in our village of late - outsiders like you, but people tell me that they have been up to no good... maybe even soliciting for some dark god, perhaps. They haven't done anything really illegal as of yet, though, I suppose we will simply have to wait, but..." |

"In my expierisnce, illeagal acts are not always overt. I can investigate the situation and see if crimes are being committed." Jonathan says plainly. "Tell us more."

"Criminals often destroy the balance of nature, I too would like to know more about them," Ceclit then turns to Tabatha, "I think I will take you up on your offer, if we ever find the time to rest."

As he is relieved of his weapon Zook listens to the issue and shrugs "Dark gods often lead to dark deeds? Maybe there is something that happened recently...even a couple months back that went unsolved that may be related. A missing person perhaps? Priests being roughed up and such? Anything at all may shed light as to something this group of outsiders might have done. Either way I take a look into it along with the others who also wish to do so."

As the knights collect the party's weapons to be "peacebound", Providence laughs in response to Tabatha's interpretation of her question. "You certainly haven't offended me," she says. "I was just...confused by such straightforward friendliness. You'll have to forgive me...I've been on my own for a while now." The delicate features of her face seem to relax completely, and for a while she takes on a somber, thoughtful look.
"Maybe it would be a good idea for me to stick around you all for awhile...since it seems you've decided to form an adventuring group. I stayed in Waterdeep far too long, and to be honest I'm not in any hurry to return." The optimism in her voice fades away, and her next words sound as if they come from a younger, more apprehensive girl: "This...is also the first clue I've found regarding...what happened to my mother." |

Jonathan pats Providence's back in a consoling manner. He says "You are welcome to journey with me and find mutual protection with anyone else here who wishes to form this adventuring party you speak of." He smiles and chuckles a bit to show that he has a sense of humor. He then re focuses his attention on the Captain of the Watch awaiting more information.

Flaergan says, "Well, you should be safe here in Eveningstar, at least for a while - we are quite a ways from Waterdeep here, and it might be difficult to figure out exactly where you went to without some kind of divination magic...
"Anyway, perhaps you folks could try to find these people and see what they were up to... unfortunately, we don't know exactly where or if they are setting camp, but we have heard rumors about people hiding out at Old Meg's Hut, the Thaddath Farm, the Killing Keep, or the Haunted Halls... Of course, both the Keep and the Halls are haunted, but adventurers do tend to go to such places anyway..." At this point, Jerrhoia returns with all of your weapons, now with peacestrings tied on them. The knots are intricate and complicated, and you note that it would be difficult (perhaps impossible) for you to imitate the method of tying yourself. "There you go," he says, handing each of you your weapons. |

Ceclit takes his spear, thanking Jerrhoia. "I would rather look at the farm first, but I will follow the rest of you if you disagree."

Jonathan nods to Jerrhoia in thanks. He then looks at Flaergan and thanks him as well for the information. He also adds. "I am sure we can find these places by asking around. we will let you know what we have found if anything at all."
__________________Jonathan then looks among the others. "Shall we get aquainted at the tavern then?" He asks motioning towards the place where the battle took happened. Last edited by rasone77; 01-28-2006 at 10:06 AM. |

Tabatha takes her weapons back and arranges them as they were before she had to give them up. Her bow she knew she would have to carry now, " yes jonathan that would be a good idea." I sound like a school girl trying to make friends on the first day of school Tabatha thought to herself. Tabatha drew her hood up and waited by the door for the others to gather their gear and head of to the Inn.

The folk inside the tavern look curiously at you all, and you recognize some of their faces as onlookers when you were fighting Realton and Dealton. Some smile at you, a few hearty folk wave, while a few others seem to be avoiding your faces entirely. |

Providence seats herself at a nearby table with the others, visibly a little anxious about getting to know so many new people. After everyone sits, her glance darts from one person's face to the next, and she begins to study the faces of these four strangers thrust into her life so suddenly.
I'm probably the oldest one here, she suddenly realizes. Maybe with the exception of that gnome. I'm not familiar enough with gnomes to judge his age to closer than within - 40 years or so. But he doesn't look that old. Then again, I suppose I don't either. It's funny how I'm "the little girl that they're protecting", and yet I celebrated decades of birthdays before they were even conceived. Last edited by dsirus5; 01-28-2006 at 06:54 PM. |

Ceclit look oddly serene, especially considering his training has secluded him from all but the most basic human contact. "So, Jonathan, is now a good time to tell me how you became a paladin?"
