Sebastien begins casting once again. As the spider begin to crawl, another orc and goblin run into the mass and slip on the grease. Both remain on the ground, slapping the crawling spiders and looking very sick. The three already there quickly move out of the swarm. The one on the far right looking pale and weak.

Devlin provides cover as ask and with the spiders already biting the ranger finishs not one but two orcs.

One orc does make it past the grease, past the wind and even past the bugs. Seeing the major thread he charges, falchon raised. He slices into Sebastien, bypassing his magical shield and damaging him for 9 damage.
Concentration DC 19

To the right the battle between the town guard and the orcs and goblin continue. The guards managed to drop an orc but the goblin sneaks in behind a guards guard and kills him.

Jonas moves and pulls out a thin wand.

Valegar chops into the poor little goblin but cutting him in half doesn't seem to be enough. The barbarian baseball swings the upper part of the goblin with his sword killing it further.

Amandt stands beside the barbarian with a neutral look upon his face. Try as he might, the monk is even unable to hit the bottom half of the severed goblin.

The zombie bartender stalks out of the burning tavern and stambles up behind the very wounded paladin. An inner fire burns behind its lifeless eyes as his raises its greataxe and brings it down. Jonas turns and faces the zombie as he drives the blade deep into Jonas' collar bone. The blow is so intense that it drives the paladin to his knees. His eyes roll into the back of his head and his face goes pale. The zombie bartender places his foot on Jonas' chest and pull loose his axe; Jonas falls face down onto the grown.
Damage = 24 (critical hit) and you are at -7 HP I believe.

Valegar, AC 16, Hp 43/48, AP 7/7, RP 48/48, Raging (3 rounds left)

After splitting the goblin's body, Valegar sees Jonas fall out of the corner of his eye and his face flushes red, his rage intensifying. The barbarian turns towards the fallen paladin and moves to protect him, focusing on the orc first, all the while keeping one eye on the deadly zombie. Valegar knew these foes had to be dealt with quickly, for soon the minotaurs towering over the goblinoid ranks would breach the gates.

OOC: Valegar moved to square M9 and is attacking the orc at M10.

Sebastien, human, conjuror HP 9/18 AC 18

Sebastien looked on as the orc charged him. It was a very intense feeling to know that he had successfully infuriated someone with his spells to the point where that someone would go so far out of his way to end the effects "Woops! Looks like I drew too much attention to myself with all those spells! Oh no, this is going to be trouble..."

Then the orc's blade came upon him, passing through his sheilding spell and his paltry attempt to block it with his buckler. He was hit, and it hurt considerably. He panicked! But he dug deap and did not break his chanting. "My spell must hold!"

Devlin

Devlin, whose original targets went down in a hail of spiders sweeps his bow across the battlefield looking for a target to shoot at. As he sweeps towards the group of goblins and orcs fighting the guard, he notices out of the corner of his eye the undead bartender strike the paladin Jonas down with a wicked chop from his massive battleaxe. The ranger swings around to confront the zombie.

Lupin, guard my back.

The ranger takes aim on the bartender who is currrently removing his axe from the fallen paladin. Just as the monster removes the axe, the ranger lets loose firing two quick shots at it within seconds of eachother.

Miraculously, Jonas's neck seems to be spewing less blood and he even moves a bit, though he doesn't open his eyes.

Action point used to stabilize.

Sabastien grunts as the orc's blade slips into his gut but he manages to hold his concentation. The spiders remain.

With the fall of the paladin, Devlin has an open window at the zombie. His first arrow skips off of the ground, inch's away from the prone Jonas' head, but the second lands with a hollow thud in the zombies chest.

The orc that attacked Sebastien remains on him like those pesky spiders and manages to once again hit the caster for 4 damage.
Concentration DC 14[/dice]

To the right the scrum between orc and guard continues with no change.

Jonas is stable but still in a lot of danger.

Valegar retreats and defends the skinny caster, cutting down the orc that persists in disrupting his concentration.

As Jonas falls Amandt turns and sees the unholy horror towering above him. The monk breaks into a dead from and tackles the zombie and engages in a deadly grapple.

The zombie tries to pull away but Amandy proves to be to strong.

To the west, the walls buckle and break, they will be coming done any second.

From a building to the south a small child runs from a building. His mother close on his heels, screaming at him. His closes in on the zombie and monk but passes by them and goes for the fallen paladin and his wand. With his mother fast on his heels, the child has just enough time to pick up the wand and tap it once on Jona's shoulder. A blue white light surrounds the paladin as his neck wound heals. Jonas is healed for 9 damage.

Devlin

From atop the giant rocks (7-J), Devlin turns his attention towards the orcs and goblins fighting the city guards at the ruined gate. He draws one arrow from the quiver upon his back and nocks it. Bring his bow up in a line pointed straight at the orc on the end of the line (4-N). He pulls back upon the butt end of the arrow until its at its maximum draw. The ranger looks straight down the shaft of the arrow lining it with the orc's center mass and lets go. The arrow flies towards its target.....

[ooc]Assuming that its the barkeep zombie to which you were referring to.[/ooc]

Keeping hold of the monstrous undead, Amandt attempts to bring him to the ground where he might do more good in ending his threat. If I can get that axe away from him, he shouldn't do near as much harm.

As Jonas regains consciousness he lets out an "Ah!" before realizing what's going on. When he finally does he thanks the child and tells him to run to safety (leaving Jonas his wand), then he turns to the zombie and hits him for all he's worth.

Valegar, AC 16, Hp 43/48, AP 7/7, RP 48/48, Raging (2 rounds left)

After downing Sebastian's attacker, Valegar is almost bowled over by the charging Amandt. He turns his head just in time to see the monk tackle the axe wielding zombie. As he watches this site, he hears screams behind him. The guards need my help. The barbarian dislodges his sword from the fallen orc and moves to bolster the guard's defensive lines. He sidesteps around the first goblin focusing on the orcs ahead, knowing that they are the larger threats.

OOC: Valegar will move to square M6, taking a round about path (L9 to L6 to M6) to avoid an AoO He's been in many battles before and doesn't want to receive a cheap shot from a meazly goblin. He will be attacking the orc at square N6.

Sebastien keeps his spell under control and a good thing too! Because in the next instance the west wall crumbles. As the rain poors down about the city and lightening cracks through the air (remember it's storming lol) a voice thunder's across the sky, amplified so that the entire town can hear it. "You have been warned" it says.

Devlin scrambles across the broken tower and stands upon a boulder. Pulling back his bow he fires into the crowd of orcs and goblin striking an orc in the chest. Already wounded from battle with the guards it falls dead.

The action is soon regreted by Devlin, however, as through the gate charges a black armoured knight. With the grease gone he has no problems running straight through the spider swarm. He charges Devlin with a bastard sword held in both hands and slices the ranger across the leg for 6 damage.

The guards, meanwhile, continue with there battle and seem to be fairing better, they kill two goblins.

Jonas stands as the mother of the child scoops him up and runs off back into a building. The paladin, with new resolve, swings at the zombie locked in combat with the monk. He swings, barely missing the monk, and hacks into the zombies torso for considerable damage.

Behind the Black Knight stand three minotaurs. Two are well over 7 feet tall, one with a greatsword and another with a huge mace. Behind them is a smaller minotaur wielding an equaling large axe. The minotaur with the mace digs his hooves into the earth and charges forward. Three foot long horns explode through the back of a city guard. The minotaur rears and stands, the guard impailed.

Valgar zigzags across the battlefield, runs by the blackknight and goes for the orcs attacking the guards. (As the map undated here is your new flight path. M8, M7, M6. No AoO.) With his greatsword that rivals that of the minotaurs, the barbarian raises it above his head and brings it down, cutting the orc in half. His blow is so powerful that he does infact cut right through the orc and manages to carry on with the momentum. The goblin, to engaged with one of the guards, does not see the attack coming and looses his head.

The second minotaur, this one weilding a greatsword, also kicks his feet into a powerful charge and runs at Valgar. The barbarian sees the charge at the last second and manages to side-step it. And a good thing too. As the wind whips at Valgar from the minotaurs passing he is sure that if the charge connected he'd be dead.

At the west wall the orcs who had managed the battering ram have now armed themselves and are fluiding into the city. Guards stand and engage.

Amandy attempts to wrestl the zombie to the ground but is thrown aside like a child. The zombie swings his battleaxe at the monk but misses.

The third, smaller minotaur stands outside the city. Foam drips from his mouth and you can only imagen the colour of his knuckles as he grips his axe. The minotaur seems to be going into a rage.
