“No, I cannot.” A change in tone conveys a sense of frustration, “I am almost certain Relthum can, however I do not think we can trust him entirely.”

"Just when I think I'm starting to understand this magic, I'm shot down again. Relth...I never thought of him. I think we can trust his intentions, but his actions may not be controlled. I think we should chance it in this case. Let's go convince him to help us in teh manner we want. We can promise him a look at our new book as a reward." Balinor says thoughtfully while rubbing his chin.

The mistress of this establishment" Tursin points at the door with the hand at the top of his staff. "Has indicated that the book should not be revealed casually.” Tusin shifts his staff to his other hand. “Relthum is either the worst liar in the world or very gifted at acting like it. I am sure he has already had a look at, and identified the magical items we have but he will not even supply hints as to their functions. Gifted or not he cannot be trusted with the knowledge of the book and we should take steps to make sure he does not find it, shall I say, accidentally. If he can sense magic he will be able to sense the book.”

Jonathan reminds Tursin that when the party found him, the paladin did try to detect evil from him, but did not feel any emanations of evil; on the other hand, that does not necessarily mean that he is benevolent and goodly, but at least he is not a corrupted hatemonger, either. |

Ceclit adds to what Jonathan was saying, "And I'm a Druid, not exactly a pillar of good either, but would you trust me? Either way, unless we had a more reliable way than robes than concealing his...condition...I'd rather not bring him to the tavern at this point."

Medfill suddenly points towards a shady corner not far away from where the party is standing - there you see a crouching Relthaum, who seems to be hiding in the shade. Seeing that he has been noticed, he waves. |

“Everyone here has known Master Relthum much longer then I.” Tursin looks toward the skeletal figure waving in the shade. ”I must admit a certain amount of distrust and competitiveness between wizards. If he has done nothing to lose anyone’s trust I must concede we need to do more to gain his.” Turning back to the party “Having him with us will most certainly focus attention on him and those around him, leaving Balinor here free to take action at the door”

Ceclit waves back at Relthaum and stifles a laugh.

"Well, I say lets just go in and wait for somthing to happen. We are overthinking everything." Balinor waits for a response

It is now early afternoon, and a few more customers trickle into the tavern; Rindell the bard sheepishly appears as well, saying, "I... I guess I am a bit anxious, but we have to do our best to protect the king!" |

Balinor greets Rindell with a nod "Ok ladies and gentlemen, I guess its late enough that our guest and entourage will show up at any time. I say we move in and position ourselves. Its going to be a long wait." Balinor pauses for comments. "Lets move in and position a couple tables as we need in preparation."

Rindell, Medfill, and others nod grimly as they look around the tavern; many of the round tables are already taken by the clientele, but there are three tables that are still empty at this point. Medfill says, "Perhaps we shouldn't make ourselves too noticable by moving too much furniture around; although I guess we could pretend that we are joining tables to sit a big group." |

Balinor shrugs off his pack and puts it in a corner. He stations himself near the door by dragging a table to the side of the door and sits with his back to the wall facing the door and a clear path to the entryway. ( can post a sketch if you like)

Tursin surveys the interior of the tavern trying to determine if it is any more crowded then the last few times he was in while speaking to Medfill “I would not worry about try to keep a low profile” After whatching Balinor for a few seconds he asks the robed skeleton. “Master Relthum, what would like to drink?”
