The famed Brynhild Bardic College? They're well reknowned, even to my centaur mentors. King Augustus is certainly sparing little expense in this venture. I wonder if he means this as a show of wealth to entice the more materially-minded among us. If so, it's a sound strategy. The Protector knows His Majesty has peaked my interest at least. Glancing to Xhorlin, he comments: Impressive, indeed! I have a small modicum of talent for the arcane myself, but I could never invoke something like that, and certainly not with the casual ease you display. You've a rare gift, Master Xhorlin. Finally, Arryl answers Glokin's question: Drako, Olostin, and myself have traveled together but recently, friend Glokin, but this is the first time we've met Masters Xhorlin or Davkus. Incidentally, Glokin....(Arryl slides another silver piece across the bar to join the five he'd placed earlier) could you recommend a good provisioner in Carvetia? Whether or not the good King Augustus selects us for this expedition, we won't go very far without some fresh supplies. |

Coming right up master Olostin, a stew of the day and a glass of water. So, you three, Drako, Arryl, and yourself have met on the road, and how about Davkus and Xhorlin here, first time you ever see each other?, well, an easy way with people have the five of you then! and I'm glad everyone is on a friendly mood tonight, but then again, people in Carvetia follow the ethical code of the Knights of the Shielding properly!
He then takes a pause to serve another mug of ale to Xhorlin Here ya go good sir!, try this ale, but do not exceed yourself, our house has a reputation for making quite a strong a beer! and I would't want those magic fingers of you going out of control in my establishment! he says with a chuckle. And as for your comments and questions I have some lore that it might suit you just fine master Arryl, you see, the performers from Brynhild's Bardic School will be led tonight by Lady Brynhild herself! along with her two most beautiful and skilled companions, Lady Hrefna and Lady Genevieve!, I'm sure they will put on quite a show at tonight's council. Now if you should want to contact them I recommend you visit their Faculty tomorrow morning. Then turnign to Drako and Davkus... Well, are you the quiet fellows among the group?, not a problem, just let me know if the food is good tonight master Drako?, and as for you master Davkus, those meals are getting cold my friend and the people at table four are still waiiting for their food Facing Arryl again...Ohh!, but you have also asked about provisons... hmm a well prepared adventurer we have here.. ok lets see, this is what I know: If you are lookig for transportation by horse or wagon, then you should seek Harek, the stables caretaker at the SW end of the city. Also Thaminos has it's shop nearby and he can help you with anything related to goods and services. Now lets see.. hmmmmm...Oh yes! if you are looking for weapons then you should seek Thurid who specializes in close combat weapons and Ragna who could very well equip you with long ranged wepaons, those she says, are her favourite choice when facing enemies!. Both of their workshops are located at the NE corner. Mmmm as for armor, well, there is Amrod's shop who sells light armor for those less skilled with the use of heavy metal, and there is also Habib who can serve your every need if what you are looking for is thick layers of finelly crafted metal plaques, anything from medium to heavy armor. Their shops are located at the Western settlements. Who am I forgetting...let me think ...is hard with all this noise... hmmm...eehhhh.. Ah huh! we have Quarion, who can help with Coin exchange and jewells at downtown, and Jennifer the shipwright who has her business just outside the walls at the western gates of the city. Now I think I have a map of the city I used to carry around before I retired from adventuring and bougth this fine establishment, here let me give it to you... He then goes downstairs and reappears moments after handing a worn out looking scroll with the map of the city on it Last edited by ALEXANDROS; 03-30-2007 at 01:34 AM. |

Davkus takes the apron and puts it on. Upon request to deliver the plates to table four he does so.
He stops at table three after delivering the food and receiving the money. Would you people like anything else? |

Thank you kindly Master Glokin. I am master of none, simply a humble follower of the chivalrous Heironeous. Your information however is much appreciated. I do hope we are allowed by noble Augustus to go out for the exploration. Masters Davkus and Xhorlin, would it be a good plan to join into a party. I believe the five of us cover all the needs of an exploration party. The forwardness of his question quickly humbles the young man again as he shoots a look to Drako and Arryl for confirmation.

As soon as Drako finishes his food he says to Glokin..Master Glokin, the food was perfect, now my mood has changed jeje, funny what a empty stomag does right??... As for the map you are very kind, we will make good use of it, In fact I need to pay a visit to Thaminos, i'm all out of provision..
__________________he pauses for a second, he finishes his last sip of Ale and noods to Olostin, I do hope our new two friends agree to join us, with our abilities combined, we would make a fine party... he then turns to Davkus and says... No thank you, I am full right now, but maybe we should enjoy the performers from Brynhild's Bardic School,,,and then decide with a few Ales the future of this part don't you agree? Ha! This is a fine Ale is it not! I shall sip this one perhaps.
Xhorlin takes a drink of his ale while listening to the conversation about him. I would think finding our glory together to be a fine idea. I can always use fine companions, especially ones to keep the buggers off me while I Zap EM! Xhorlin Raises his glass high To Glory, Gold, and Good Ale! |

With a broad grin, Arryl raises his glass of fine red wine in response to Xhorlin's toast.
__________________Agreed, Master Xhorlin! What say we enjoy the evening, whatever it brings? And if it so happens that the good King has no need of us for this expedition, then let us forge our own plans and find glory anyway! For tonight, however, I intend to finish this fine meal and enjoy the entertainment. Who knows, I may well learn something of my craft by watching true professionals? Arryl then turns to Olostin, his expression becoming serious: Olostin, your humility does both you and Heironeous a great deal of credit. However, you need not look to me for approval of your words. I remember a time not too long ago where your talents, your courage, and your faith saved both my life and that of friend Drako here. Your suggestion is sound, and I agree with it. Humility is a fine thing, no doubt, but don't let it deprive us of your counsel. Agreed? Smiling, he toasts the young, stalwart cleric with his wineglass, and returns to his meal. This meal is really quite excellent, Master Glokin! Thank you! |

Olostin raises his mug of water to the toast and joins in. To Arryl he replies: "Thank you for the compliment. Perhaps you are correct. Noanar has always tought me to respect my elders and to spread the word of the lord Heironeous. I will always try to follow the teachings of my mentor. In this case, it seemed only logical to form a band together. However I did not mean to be presumptious towards my elders. Let us wait for the summons by King Augustus"

Finishing his meal with a blissful sigh, Arryl pushes his plate away.
__________________That's as fine a meal as I've had in a long while. I must remember to compliment the cook! Draining the last of his glass of red wine, he spares a quick glance at Davkus and his customers at table two. His keen half-elven ears then to pick up a conversation from the table. Curious, he begins to pay attention. |

Xhorlin notices his companions all quieting down to listen to other's conversation.
Perhaps I should keep silent so as to not interfere. Though What these others have to say is of little concern. Still I should act interested I do think these men about me are good people. After a time of silence Xhorlin interjects quietly, Well what have the little people's conversation have about them today? His contempt of the common rabble about him just barely peeking through his attempt to hide it. |
