Official MIA and Returning Thread

Without going into too much detail, my life recently asploded. My husband was diagnosed with a chronic, albiet treatable, illness that is going to require constant monitoring and care. U.S. Immigration told me I cannot publish anymore while living in the US due to my visa status. And the weather sucks.

Due to my husband's illness and my recent book deal, we are moving back to Canada for a bit. This necessitates the leaving behind of all our dear friends in Seattle, which has made for a very weepy week of farewells for me. My emotional reserves are pretty much exhausted.

Some of you know that my husband and I make a living by moving all over the damn place. Well, we'd planned on making Seattle home. We love it here and have so many friends and loved ones in the area, plus his job and my writing. Leaving it is heartbreaking. But it's the best choice right now.

My book deadline is fast approaching, and I will be working almost continuously through till August. Between that, caring for my husband, and the move, I will have precious little to give back to my wonderful DMs (Caveman, E/I Genius, and Rodrigo) and my wonderful players (Cannibalizer, loki, Jhulae, and summondice). I hope they'll all forgive me for my recent weeks of distraction and my notable decline in posting frequency/quality in the next two months.
