The dwarves look at their toes, noticeably ashamed at their ignorance."That makes sense, a good analogy," Doin says to Providence. "Still, perhaps there is some way that we can atone, at least partially. We have spent most of our lives underground, although we did come up to the surface on occasion. We want to grow more accustomed to the surface life - we do not want to step on anyone's toes, if you know my meaning."

Balinor speculates "Hey, maybe you guys can make a nice stone secret door for that so called Temple. Something not easily visible from above. with counter weights so its easy to open from below. Would that be a good service and appease your god Ceclit?" He looks down. "Probably not, but I'd sure like it. I'd move right in. Eh Barakk, we could set up a still and make our own spirits!" he grins

I agree wholeheartedly with that Balinor. Barakk then takes a swig of his flask and hands it around the group.

"I'm sorry, but that won't appease Silvanus," the druid says, "But if our dwarf allies would care to spread word that trees are alive to other dwarfs that would be a good start."

“Freshly felled wood does not burn that well for a small fire.” Tursin also points out to the dwarves, “Fresh cut wood should be cut to length, split and dried for a few months to year before it is best to burn.”

"It's okay," Providence tells the party's recently-acquired dwarf-friends. "I think your mistake is understandable, and I forgive you - although I can't speak for our druid friend. Now help me gather some wood for our fire - dead wood, lying on the ground already - so we can fix ourselves something to eat. Gods, it feels good to be out of that nasty place!"
Providence begins searching the immediate area for dry timber suitable for fire-building. |

"If they don't destroy the forest needlessly I have no issue with them. I can understand ignorance. But I am not so forgiving of ignorance. Just don't be so ready with your axes next time," Ceclit says dryly.

"Weeeell... We don't quite know what to do about that magic floor there, as we don't know much about magic," Doin says to Balinor. At Ceclit's suggestion, the dwarves nod vigorously. "Yes, we will do that, tell all the dwarves," they say, scurrying off to gather wood that has already fallen to the ground for the fire. |

"That is a good start," Ceclit replies.
He proceeds to check nearby the makeshift camp for something to eat. He stays where he can clearly see. |

“I will go with you Ceclit.” Tursin says using the light from the ring, “Never pass up an opportunity to look for herbs, spices and spell components.”

Ceclit, Tursin, and Doin set off to explore the area just around the camp. Ceclit discovers some gooseberry (light-green berries) bushes, some small edible tubers (like potatoes, but much smaller and grittier), a lot of acorns, and a few meadow onions (green onion-like vegetables). Doin finds some white mushrooms of some sort that he insists are safe to eat (Ceclit hesitantly agrees), as well as some foxfire (glowing fungus) that Ceclit could use for the faerie fire spell. Tursin finds some wild basil as well as numerous noisy crickets (which he can catch to use for the sleep spell, as long as he keeps them alive; alternatively, he can ask for rose petals from the Lathanderite priests later on instead, which are easier to keep for later.). (There are also various animal foods that could be used for an animal friendship spell, depending on the animal.) Although the food found looks flavorful in general, perhaps catching some fish or hunting (there is a river right next to camp; Ceclit can try a proficiency check to spear fish) some game would make the meal more filling! OOC: Fish caught = WIS - d20 per hour of fishing. |

Ceclit keeps some of the firefox.
He also spends one hour fishing. "Veggies are good, but I think we need a proper meal for tonight," he says. Fishing Roll: 14- Dice Roll:

Balinor fashions a couple hooks out of some small bits of metal he keeps.

Ceclit seems to tire himself out trying to spear the quick, slippery fish that swim through the river, and catches nothing! OOC: Ceclit can of course try again, although it is getting late. Balinor and Barakk can try as well, but since they are fishing newbies, they can try to catch ONE fish in one hour with a successful wisdom roll. As for worms, you can find them as you find any worm - start digging
