I think that place counts ratings for more than quantity of votes. There's some mapping site with only 38 votes that's ranked #4. Unless I'm missing something.

It might also be counting the amount of hits they get (If I'm correct they had a fairly high hit count). I've been voting the highest I can. Everyone else is probably too. Keep voting everyone!

i manage to vote three-four times a day. i have two computers with different ip adresses, a laptop, and sometimes i go to the library!

perfect, theres about four in total at my house, but I'm afraid that it will show up as same IP and not count it. And I'm not voting at school, icnase someone else is on this site from there too. but I doubt it. But, better to be safe then sorry! Lets keep up the good work guys! Were doing great!

EXCELLENT WORK EVERYONE!!!!

I've been doing some code monkey research and found some tips for when you vote. Still don't have a firm handle on how they rank, but I believe it has to do with the rating you give with the vote.

Look at the highlighted section of the attached screen shot to see what I am talking about.

They take the vote along with the rating and throw it into their algorithm. Thus a great rating (5 - Don't Miss This Site!) counts more than a null vote and a negative rating counts against.

Make sure you pick a rating before you select your vote and keep up the good work.

Testume: Nothing bad happens when you accidentally vote twice form the same IP. I forgot that my desktop and laptop have the same IP and I voted on each. When the extra vote went through it just said that any additional votes would be delete but my original vote was still cast.

I'm pretty sure the category pages are just in alphabetical order. If you look through the top 100 page, there are 4 "Online Playing Facilities" sites above us. So we're 5th in that.

We're now 31st total, and our numbers are: 520.7755000 274 45
we're 4th in the Internet_Play/Online_Playing_Facilities section.

I can confirm that voting twice with the same IP doesn't have any negative effects.
I haven't tried proxies or anything, but could easily do so.

I hate having a static IP.

hurray! Were doing great guys! gonna go vote again right now, and tehn go to a friends and vote, and make my sister use her laptop to vote. We will make it to #1! We will do it!
