An outstanding idea. I am always available, especially for non-combat roles. I may be green to the site, but I know how to RP, especially with a bit of backstory. Alignment, motivation and goal and I'm ready to go.

I just found this thread, and I love the idea. Anyone can feel free to PM me to play an NPC. I'd rather not play the key villain or some other long term key NPC. But things like the town loremaster or barkeep or snot nosed boy who found the body under the docks - I'm in.

Interesting. I have spent a good amount of time looking about this site and what it has to offer and now I am looking to join a game that suits my taste. That said I am picky. Not due to some snobbery or anything like that, but rather because I want to make sure I enjoy what I get involved in as that would logically seem to be the best for everyone involved at this site.

Anyways. My point is, until that comes or I decide that I understand the sites tools and tricks enough to DM; I would really enjoy taking a minor role as a NPC, or possibly a major one with enough background/discussion.

My Strengths:

1. Absolutely insane characters. Evil or good, though I prefer the good crazy towards the malicious.
2. Incredibly dumb/oblivious tanks.
3. Beauracratical employees. I think this might be redundant with insane

My Weaknesses:

1. Clerics and or doctors. I over act compassion.
2. Overly greedy rogues. I do it well, and it may be to much. Could be a strength for the right game.
3. Paladins. I meta game paladins unfortunately. I don't play them because of it. I will ignore the chaotic neutral rogue stealing from the coffers of Pelor.

Anyways, if your willing to give it a shot, I am.

I might be able to NPC some (schedule pending, I'm still a college student in my final year so...) I think I'd like to do a shop keeper here or there, feed players information that is just gossip that means nothing.

PM me if you are looking for some minor part, and what it is... I may say no based on real life factors, but it never hurts to ask.

I'm so glad I found this thread! My players are coming up to a town and most of it will be RP. I didn't know of how exactly I was going to feed them just enough information to figure out a pivotal plot twist. I may need 2 NPCs, a good guy and a bad guy. It's 2nd Ed, but like I said, mostly RP. It's Gods and Generals. Anyone may read the story so far and if interested, shoot me a PM!

Count me in also. I'm pretty readily available as a poster and consider myself decently imaginative on the fly. I wouldn't be too keen on "building" an NPC as in putting the mechanics behind it - but if you want to shoot me a blurb on the NPC's purpose or general designation within the game, I'm pretty confident I can roll with anything.

Villains, antagonists, protagonists, lions, tigers, bears.... just shoot me a pm.

I'm glad I found this thread! First of all, count me in. I'm new to the site and rusty on the letter of the law, but I love RP (I'm quite experienced), and I can make characters easily. If you've got a role-play heavy opening and only a vague concept of what to fill it with, that works for me. Nearly every detail of my contact information is on my profile, feel free to use it.

Secondly, reading this thread made me consider pre-made NPCs. Since most DMs want their own style, I was ready to throw away the idea, but perhaps it could be an NPC in multiple campaigns, like a peddler that appears in more than one DM's games? A 'brand' of magic items that starts showing up in many different games? Instead of carrying a PC from one campaign to the next, it would be an NPC that can move around, since he's not needed in the rest of the plot.

I am available to play one NPC at a time - I can probably do yours Wolfman, but as far as combat goes I know only the rules of D&D 4e.

Hi, I'm also still a bit green behind the ears, but I love the idea. I would be most interested in RP parts, basically any road encounter, your barmen, evil scheming counsellor to the king, local noble handing out the job... whatever.
