If this is an illusion it is a pretty good one Barakk says,as he continues to look around the room.

The older man at the counter winks at Balinor and Tursin, and the pearly illusion winks at the two as well, before suddenly disappearing! "Now then," he calls out (making sure that the druid can hear as well), "What may I do for you gentlemen, then? You don't look like you're from around here." |

“Well done.” Tursin says resuming his walk to the proprietor, “We seek food and lodging for the night and early start tomorrow morning, also news of the roads to Daerloon would be most appreciated."

The older man smiles. "Well then, welcome - that'll be 1 lion per night per person, please. The roads are fine this time of year, but I will keep my ears open and let you know of any news if I hear any." |

“Many thanks.” Tursin says gesturing Balinor over, “It has been a long day on the road. What food and refreshments might you have?”

Balinor shakes his head after the apparition disappears. coming to his senses, he strolls over to the counter looking rather sheepish. "Er...yeah, a mug of ale is called for, I think. My friend Barakk will need one for sure too." he increases his volume, "Anybody else need a drink to wash the road out of the throat."

The older man says, "Of course - an ale will be 2 silver falcons each. So will that be 2 ales, then?"
To Barakk, he says, "Not a barmaid, young man, but she was very real once... In life, she was a powerful mage, and she could have taught you adventurers a thing or two!" |

“It seems an odd tribute to greet strangers at the door with her likeness.” Tursin says with a frown. “May I ask who she is, or was?”

Balinor raises his mug "To her teaching me a thing or two" he elbows Barakk and drinks deeply.
__________________Still chuckling at his own witticism, Balinor digs out some silver and slides it over to teh bar keeper. "Better bring two more. I'm in a mood" |

The older man sighs as he fills two extra mugs of ale. "Eye, she could have taught all of you a thing or two - back then, she fireballed a beholder, talked to it to keep it distracted while we got ready, and then we destroyed it! She was Aradaera "Ravensong" Tinshar, a sorceress of great skill and bravery - I miss her deeply, and this illusion here I had made to remind me of her from time to time." |

"If it's not too much, may I as what happened to her?" Ceclit asks.

Somewhat awkwardly, the older man says, "Well... That's a tale that perhaps will have to wait for a time when I am less sober! She was my first and greatest love, you see - I do miss her dearly. All of the Fair Fortune Freeswords did, but none as much as me!" Suddenly, a squints a bit at your hooded, bony friend Relthaum, and asks, "Say, your friend there looks a bit... gaunt. Is he okay?" |

"I understand," the druid replies, "Consider the matter dropped."
