Like that.

Anyway, he leans back and fantasizes about the classes he'll be in.

Then draws his feelings. Cause chicks dig an artist..

Samara shifted her things around and brought out a few pieces of paper, as it seemed they were finally getting to something that had to do with learning. She was quite anxious to see her schedule of classes for the coming year - wondering what she'd gotten into and what she'd have to deal with. For once, she found that she actually wanted to see who she had these classes with as well. Normally, she would just hide around in the back and listen to whatever the students around her felt like talking about...but this year, there were some she wanted to see more of, as well as some she would hope to only see in this room.

Samara, more stealthily this time, looked from behind a thin wall of her hair in Sirial's direction. He was, in fact, one of the students she hoped to have a few classes with, as she was suddenly very interested in him. 'Lets see...Name is Sirial Rezt'k, he's from Black House, he's a fourth year...and...he chews on bones and is odd. I can't believe that's all I know..' The dark haired girl brooded silently as she continued to stare, with the occasional glance in the professor's direction to see if her schedule was almost there.

A knocking sound can be heard from the classroom doorway. There, stands yet another student. Dressed in House colors to let everyone know to which one he belongs. From his free flowing pants to his form fitting sleeveless tunic, he definitely belongs to House Blue. Even the tattoo of unknown significance that runs from his left shoulder down to his hand is in blue. "Pardon me. Professor Shem? Professor Hembrandt sends his greetings as well as his apologies for my late arrival. One of his experiments which he asked me to aid him in ran longer than expected this morning". He walks over and hands Shem a small metal disc with Hembrandt's sigil inscribed. "I am Kayne Masari and I look forward to this year with your guidance".

Afterward, and for the first time, Kayne scans the room full of students some he knows more than others, even a few who he does not yet know. For the most part, he remains calm and certain of himself. As some of the others know, this was the beginning of his fourth year Academy, and he was different from the rest. While almost everyone at the Academy had the ability to wield magic in one form or another, Kayne had none. Instead, he chose to devote all of his attention toward building on his inherent nature of psionics. He took several classes with the rest in various fields of magic study, but he did so only to increase his understanding, not to acquire the ability himself.

Finding an empty seat across the room, he weaves his way across. Along the way he greets those he knows better than most, albeit briefly. Once he takes his seat, Kayne focuses on Professor Shem and all that he has to say.

Hikari glares at the back of the arrogant Blue. But she has made it known that she will not stand by while he idly terrorizes students, and that is enough for now.

Hikari gives a simple nod as the first year tries to explain that he doesn't need her help. She doesn't debate it, mostly because that would be a pointless interruption of the class. But she mentally remkinds herself that the reason she told him off was not for the sake of this first year, per say, but because she is sworn to defend the weak from the strong, no matter the case.

The outlook is not good as one after another chaotic student is plopped into the classroom, and quite a few things put her on edge.... but nothing seems to warrant intervention, thanks to the presence of professor Shem.

It does bring her a small amount of relief that a fellow white shows up.

She isn't too worried about her classes schedule. The only thing she isn't sure about is wether she was accepted into Paladin studies.... which would be completely an elective for her.

Edenne sensed that the professor was starting to get antsy, and went back to playing with her fire. It was no longer safe to talk to the little flames, but she made funny faces at them to keep them entertained until she was forced to dismiss them.

When she was given her timetable, she quickly looked it over, filled out what needed to be filled out, and handed it back to Shem. If he'd never had her in his class, it was the most efficient he'd ever seen her.

At the bottom of the sheet was a note: "Master's Ethics of Conjuration doesn't exist, but I'm taking it anyway. Professor Zzzertee said it was okay."

Zryn felt a small tingle of excitement as the professor took out their schedules and she mentally ran through the classes she wanted to take. Summoning, of course, and perhaps banishment, and some planes study- oh, and ethics of conjuration, too! So many classes, and only four years to take them! She hardly even notices the fourth year blue student who walks past her desk as her mind runs through the possibilities.

Jax sat in his chair, picking at something in his teeth. If you just glanced at him you would think he was completely oblivious to what was going on around him, but upon closer inspection, he is actually give all of his attention to knowing what is happening.

Hikari nods as she studies her schedule. She hadn't gotten into any of her Master classes, which were packed with upperclassmen, but she had gotten into the Paladin Studies, and the oh so popular Magic in War class.... the class that was, ultimately, her reason for being there.

She frowns with distaste at the mundane classes she has to take. If she felt she needed math she would have signed up for it. There is no place for long division on the battlefield.

The Vanil girl studied her course list with an expression of restrained irritation. She supposed that chaos class must have been full for her not to get in. Or maybe they were just afraid of her power. She was glad she got into the Ethics of Transmutation, though - she wasn't much interested in it herself, but she'd been told quite sternly by her mother that if she didn't get an 80% or better her allowance would be cut off.

Kyna looked her schedule over happily. She'd gotten the few courses she felt were the most important, and there was one Master class on her list. Granted, it was with Headmaster Draco, but she didn't think he'd have any reason to destroy her....

She looked over at Lance's class list with mild curiosity.

"What are you taking?"

Quod looks calmly over his class list. His eyes light up as he sees that all of the courses for which he applied are on the list. Always good to get what one wants. Perhaps the gods are smiling extra upon him today. He makes some notes to himself on his parchment, his handwriting flowing and clear. He turns around to get a look behind him at the other students. Most of them were quite chaotic, not paying attention to the teacher, fighting, arguing, and generally making fools of themselves. Such was life. He shrugs, sits back in his chair, and commences thinking.

"Kayne Masari I was told you would be delayed. Please take a seat and deal with this."
Prof. Shem handed the young man a sheet of paper with his class details on it.

The lists said that each student had to pick one or two classes more than they had already. Some due to the fact that two classes they wanted happened at the same time, or they simply did not get in to the class they wanted.

"This should not take you long, you've all had a great deal of time to think about this."

It was a simple matter of making sure you had all of what you needed the first years had it easiest. Shem gave them a little time then started to collect the sheets and magic them to the head office.

"Oh this and that you know..."
Lance grinned and turned the sheet around for her to see, it had Home Room, and eight other classes he had picked, and he got in to each, leaving himself a spare.
"I got in to all of them."
He had Master Illusion, Realism in Magic, Master Enchantment, Social Magic(For the second time, though he had passed it), Counter Magic, Abec's Principle, Distillation and Master Divination.
"It should be a good year, though I am going to have to deal with second years in Counter Magic and Social Magic."

Edenne had wanted to take Advanced Summoning, but her mishap at House Green's mess hall last year had earned her a rather significant demerit, and she was told that unless she retook Misuse of Magic, she would not be able to attend any other classes that she asked for. In the end, it was a compromise she was willing to make - and when she learned, from Professor Line himself, that he was teaching the class, she didn't feel so bad about it.

"Here you are," she said, handing her sheet back to Shem. "Stop looking at me like that; I took all the requirements." She stared at her hands. "I'm going to make a night-light." She seemed very excited by the idea, but instantly had another one. "No; a walking, talking robot - no..."

Al'kesh scanned over its schedule, reading what classes it had gotten into quietly.

Advance Artifice
Advanced Combat Casting
Counter Magic
Wand Craft
Basic Magical Arms and Armour
Basic Potions
Basic Holy Combat
The Flow of Power
Misuse of Magic

Al'kesh got most of the classes that it desired, no doubt do to Professor Dravin Andragorus, head of Black Houses doing. Al'kesh had to admit, being favored by him had its perks. Getting Advance Artifice required no thought on why, Al'kesh was a Artificer after all. The same with Combat Casting, Wand Craft, Basic Magical Arms and Armor, and Basic Potions. Counter magic may have been a bit less obvious. The Flow of Magic and Misuse of Magic were close to electives for Al'kesh. Though Al'kesh was sure that no one knew why it had taken Basic Holy Combat. Al'kesh folded the piece of paper and placed it on its desk, then awaited furtherer instruction from the Professer.

Zryn squints at the sheet when the professor hands it to her. All but one! Advanced Planes must have been full. Oh Well! She quickly- but carefully- writes Lore of the Higher Planes into the open space. She then handed it back to Professor Shem and sat back to see if there was anything else to do in their first homeroom class. She took the chance to look around the room a bit- Edenne was talking to herself again, it appeared, and some other students were conversing quietly, while a white student looked down his nose at them. She overhears Lance's comment about second years and sniffs- at least I don't have to take any classes with him, she thought. This should be an interesting homeroom class, though...
