Science: A Lecture in Non-Elemental Physics Blah Blah Blah She waited for the rest of the class to arrive, careful not to draw too much attention to herself, but also unafraid to look at people as they captured her attention. She did spy Darius entering the room, and offered him a polite smile, though she didn't much think he deserved it. All that professionalism did was hide the fact that he didn't know how to hold a real conversation. Then again, she thought, that's what she was doing too. "Hey," she said, too loudly. She coughed to clear her throat. "What's your view on the Prima Ignaris Theorem?" It was a slow start, but better than nothing. |

Samara walked into her Science class oddly. Her head was up, she was looking ahead of her, as apposed to straight down, and her supplies were held in one hand at her side. It was quite strange to see this Half-Elf looking so confident, but she had her reasons, and the few students from her home room may be aware of them. Spotting Edenne already in a conversation, she took a desk that was near the girl, but still left one between them, as to not disturb her conversation or to cause a reaction like she did the first time she sat next to her.
She took out some papers and a pen to prepare a section for writing notes. Once that had been taken care of, she took out her cloak sketch and replaced her pen with a pencil and continued her sketching-cleaning it up and defining it's look. Every so often, she'd catch herself forming Sirial's eyes or the particular way his blond hair fell over his face off to the sides of her plans, and would promptly return to her cloak. Samara never erased them, however. |

He continues to watch the bugbear out of the corner of his eye. I can respect her quest for power, but the way she handles it is all wrong. She is a dengerous one though.
__________________Darius' thoughts are elsewhere as Edenne speaks to him. He takesa moment to realize who spoke to him and what she said. "I think that Theorum is irrelevant." Speaking curtly he does not really want to get into a conversation with her after the incident of the morning. "And I hope there will be no disturbances in this class like earlier. Some of us are here to learn." Though I wouldn't mind distraction in this waste of a class. She was a troublemaker, and he strongly disliked the way she acted in the school. |

Edenne rolled her eyes. "And then some of us are just here to point out that they're here to learn." She shook her head. "You talk big for someone who's so afraid of his classmates that he comes to class wearing full body armor. As though that would save you." She smiled. "But don't worry; some of us have learned that I don't interrupt class." She leaned over to him. "Out of curiosity, what did you expect to learn twenty minutes before the start of homeroom?"
__________________"No, Darius," she said, wagging her finger, "You just don't like to talk to people. Well, congratulations, then; you're hereby invisible to me." She waved her hands at him, saying, "Irak Tarasak bajien!" It was the incantation for the invisibility spell, but since nothing happened, Darius was left to assume that she was simply blowing him off. She went back to her seat. "Samara, do you know how to fold a paper bird? I'll show you." |

Hikari hustles in. Just like last time, she isn't late: She's just on time.
__________________This time she is in full battle dress. Her top is covered by what looks like a wooden breastplate, with guantlets that extend down to cover the backs of her hands. Her lower half is swathed in a billowing white skirt that always seems to be softly wafting around, wether there is a breeze or not. In her left hand is a decorated shield, which shows a dozen arrows streakingto a woman in front of a setting sun, large for the average student. On her though, it stretches down from her shoulder to right above her ankles. Her right hand is empty, but those in her last class should well remember that it is the one that will weild her sword. She glances quickly around the room before decisively filling the gap between Samara and Edenne. |

Samara hurriedly shoved the cloak plans under her book...no need for anyone to see her side doodles. 'That'd be embarrassing...' she thought as she smiled at Edenne, "I've never made one before, but I'd like to learn!" She was quite happy that Edenne seemed to be back to normal and handed her one of the blank sheets from her desk, getting one out for herself as well. The Half-Elf then put her pencil and pen on top of the neat stack on the corner of her desk and waited to begin.

A few notes on the board and a head count later Prof Hewlt seemed ready, but was waiting on three students more. He smiled and sat down, tapping his hands on the desk, acting like students are all fools who think they are so great.
Mean while the bugbear girls was getting more and more loud about how much of a waste fo time this class really was. |

Hikari turns a cautious eye on the Bugbear and mutters a thankful prayer that she had suited up before this class. She may end up needing it today.

Edenne nodded and started folding the paper. In a short time she had constructed a miniature figurine of a bird. Taking a second sheet of paper from her desk, she then demonstrated the process in greater detail. "Note that it doesn't fly," she said, dropping the bird sadly on top of her desk. "That's because it can't flap its wings to create lift. If it had a greater wingspan, however, and a narrower body, it might be able to glide - although, again, true flight for this piece of paper remains impossible without the use of magic."

"Well... Lets have a roll call shall we?"
Says the teacher from the front of the room, as he waves his finger in front of him, as if that action were helping to draw the words from his mind. "I think we are only two short, so maybe we should start, see if I can teach you anything more complex or important than how to throw a fire ball?" Prof Hewlt smiled at this and made a "Hmmp" noise to go with it as he turned towards the board. It looked like he was going to review 1st year science today, and that was all. |

Edenne bit her lip, and then raised her hand. "Excuse me, Professor. If today's class is only going to be review, I wonder if I could go to Zzzertee's class instead. I'm his T.A. this year, and I'd like to meet his class. I can get the notes from someone else if you cover anything new." She moved to stand, although of course she wasn't about to directly disobey him. He might not be a wizard, but he was still a member of the faculty.

Hikari hides the disapproving eye that she casts on Edenne's inappropriate request. She lays forward her blank white paper, her pencil at the ready to take notes that, she believes, are useless to her.

Hewlt stopped what he was doing and put down his notes, then looked at Edenne.
"Ok, Three things wrong with that. Hmm" He smiled falsely and stepped in front of his desk looking at her. "Firstly I am doing this review so you can keep up with the class, last thing I want to do is re-teach that stupid first year science teacher, Prof Zelanka's class. Secondly.." he started to move his finger in that strange way again, trying to pull the words out of his mouth at the same speed they happened in his mind. ".. I don't care who's T.A. you are, your in my class right now." Prof Hewlt started to point at her every time he spoke. "Lastly I truly doubt your skills at making paper birds entitle you to say you don't need this review as much as everyone else in this room. You are all so wrapped up in your magic you forget that it is the laws and rules of modern physics and science that let you do half of what you do anyway." |

Samara attempted to make her own bird, but it didn't turn out quite right, and she wouldn't have enough time to ask questions of Edenne before Professor Hewlt unofficially started class. She set her bird creature down next to her stack of things and pulled out a clean sheet for notes, picking up her pencil.
Her green eyes widened slightly and she looked over at Edenne as she made her request, more than a little surprised that she seemed so eager to leave. So maybe plain science wasn't terribly exciting to everyone, that doesn't mean you don't have to learn it still. Samara quite liked science, so she was plenty happy to be here. She watched the Professor as he refused to excuse Edenne, 'That was...kind of cruel.' she thought absently as he finished speaking. |

A small smile crosses Barius' face as the professer denies Edenne's request. She really is unbelievable. Next she will request to skip all her classes because she is an archmage already. A small laugh escapes his mouth before he is able to quell it. I hate science as much as the next person, but I will have the decency to sit through class and not upstage the teacher.
