The mother whispers to the girl, and the latter slowly opens her hand to reveal a normal sized coin with a blue feather painted on it.

Featherfall, doh. Well, he keeps his words, but is not necessarily good.
Asop flies off to the guy who was shot. Last edited by MasterArson; 10-25-2008 at 01:37 AM. |

The man in the loud suit was shot with a terrifying accuracy given the shooter's speed, a single hole lancing straight through his forehead. However, even if the shot had been less accurate, the following panic would have finished the job, as what remains of the genius architect has been trampled under dozens of terrified feet.

I cannot believe I let this happen. I thought I could protect him if the supposed talks went sour, but I did not expect him to kill from such range. I have never come face to face with a human of his like, with a neglect of human life.
Asop turns around to face the man. |

Your gaze falls upon a man of middle years, with short, pale blond hair and a dark blue cloak swirling around him in the light breeze. If you look at him from the edges of your vision, it almost looks like a translucent blue outline of a wolf sits next to him, though it is nowhere to be found when you look at him straight on.
__________________He is a rare one indeed, to kill another with such ease, and yet go out of his way to make sure the girl lived. Whatever his motives may be, I can tell you this for certain; if not confronted quickly, his death toll will only escalate. Unfortunately, I can also see that in your current state, you are hardly a match for him. His killing power is far-reaching and accurate, and is capable of laying you low with but a single shot. There is a way to defeat him though, if you are willing to learn... |

Strength is not the only thing that wins fights. But I do agree that I would need a god of luck fighting by my side if I want to beat him. Explain further.

For a few important reasons, the fine details must wait until a more secluded time, but the short of it is that I have powers of my own that can unlock your hidden potential. In order to benefit from it you must trust me, but should you decide that the path I will show you is not the one you wish to follow, I will leave you to your own devices once more. The choice is yours.

Hopefully this is not the second time today that the person I trust ends up screwing me over
Who are you, and why are you wanting to help me? |

He makes a sweeping bow.

He nods.
__________________See you on the other side. The wolf's outline flares into bright relief against the grey stones of the square. In one liquid, lightning quick motion, the beast leaps into the air, lunging straight for your head! Your senses are engulfed in a sharp azure flash, leaving you disoriented for a moment even after it vanishes. When your head clears again, you find yourself standing alone in a dark space. In front of you is the only light in the space, shining down on a small table, upon which rests a hand mirror. |

That was weird.
Asop goes over to the table and picks up the mirror and looks at his reflection. |

You see your reflection, but behind your face in the glass, the scene is completely different; a dusty coliseum surrounds the other you, everything brightly lit despite a pitch black sky. The mirror version of yourself smirks slightly, and the mirror bursts into a blizzard of sparks. Looking around, your world has become his, with no table or mirror to be seen.

Ugh, I hate gladiator matches. Not my style.
Asop pulls out his mace and walks over to the nearest corner of the triangle and stands there waiting for some signal to start. |
