"You need spells?" she asks, shy but eager. "Do you need spells to make it move? Because I know spells for moving. Moving fast." |

Lily looked at Candice and thought for a few seconds before saying.
"I need help, but I am unsure if you have the skills needed. Though I would be glad if you were to aid me, or even just be there. I think it would be, hanging out." She was unsure, but friendly enough. |

Edenne returned to the conversation between her apprentice and the face of House Blue, only to find that the pair had become friends, or at least allies.
__________________"Lance, would you mind giving me a lesson or two? It occurs to me that I may need it as well, now and then. Odil thinks that I need to make friends. The fact that I spat in his face for it probably didn't change his mind." She smiled oddly, and the tiny flame danced up onto Lance's desk. "I'm sorry for defacing your desk a moment ago," she added, noticing that the scorched E remained emblazoned on the wood. "It was meant to be a gesture of...I don't know what the word would be. Not friendship, but something like it." |

Lance looked up at her and thought carefully about his words, biting back those which were quick to appear in his mind. He took a second longer to then think about the question itself, and finally after three whole seconds had passed he was able to speak again, a record for him. So with smooth, but polite tones he said to her.
"Ok, forgiven of all hard feelings about the desk. As for teaching you to fight as well, sure why not. It goes better with two students. Though I'll give orders, and you will have to listen or leave." He paused and then pointed to Luke. "I'll be the teacher so treat me as such at the time, that aside it should rank near fun and be a good workout as well." He smiled his famous smile and leaned back in his seat. Luke chuckled and nodded. "Ok sure, if Edenne is ok with it, so am I." The young man smiled, though the added work was more than he liked, it was good to have made 'friends' with Lance. Also the training may well pay off for him. This mousy little human boy was doing much better this week than last, due mostly to his peer tutor. |

With the demon issure settled, the spider moves on to explore other things. Tax, figuring he's running out of time, finally gets around to cracking open a book. His mind wanders a bit, but he's getting better then nothing out of it.

Zryn turns to Therhar. "I actually just learned that spell in my Basic Control over Evil Forces class. I think it is supposed to get us ready for summoning more powerful beings- though I'm not exactly excited about summoning evil demons and such. I'm mostly taking the class so that I'll know how to banish them if one ever wanders through a gate I conjure. So I'll have to practice more- I didn't get to banish this one!"
She looks around a bit, and sighs in relief when she sees that attention has turned away from herself. It was a little exciting to be the focus of attention for a second, but that was enough for awhile. She would have to try to patch things up with Hikari, though, since it seems the girl was angry at what happened. Things just got out of hand- I will practice in private from now on! she vows to herself. It was a bit odd to hear Professor Shem talk about equal rights for demons, though, she reflects. I mean, I just summoned one! A shudder went down her spine- did that mean that the school would be okay with her being summoned with a spell and commanded to serve someone? |

Cyric smiled as he sat back down next to Summer, "Apparently I just got myself a study partner for my Lower Planes class." He scratches the back of his head, wondering what else the demon might be able to teach him, or maybe he could get it to explain a bit more about the nature of magic, would the thing even know about the nature of magic?..."Or maybe it'll know something about my lineage!" he blurts out excitedly, not loudly, but loud enough for those sitting near him to hear.

"Naturally," said Edenne. "And I know you won't abuse that power, for various obvious reasons that I don't think I need to iterate. Did you say Thursday evenings? Where would you like to meet?"
__________________She smiled at Luke. As a happy coincidence, she was also enjoying herself more this week than in previous years, and it was largely due to her responsibility as a mentor. Once the matter with Lance was concluded, Edenne beckoned Luke to the back of the room, near the anti-magic barrier. "I haven't seen what you're capable of yet. Can you show me?" |

Looking up from it's homework, Al'kesh paused for a few seconds, processing what Lily had said. Al'kesh blinked, at least It would have if It had 'human' eyes. "What is the use of a Golem in the shape of a small predator Mammal?" Al'kesh processed for a few more seconds.
__________________Finally, It spoke. "This sounds reasonable," Al'kesh said in a metallic voice. "Payment can be dealt with upon examination of specs. When shall we meet?" Al'kesh, while had no idea as to why the Golem was needed, found this to be a opportune time to practice its Construct crafting skills. |

Lance smiled slightly now as he leaned back.
"Oh, the 'beach' by House Red. Those blasted and flattened rock faces make for steady, solid ground but leaves an open view of all the school. It seems a far place to work from. Half way between your House and mine." He waved them away, half a friendly good bye, half a dismissive gustier. Luke nodded and went alone with his adviser, not wanting to upset her, or Lance. He bowed slightly and walked to the back of the room where no one was looking. He seemed to be much less shy now, at least for the time being. Lily smiled at Candice and said thank you back to her, then looked at Al'Kesh, who had now taken note of her request. "I am pleased. The time best suited for this task, by my schedule would be..." She thought on that matter briefly, then questioningly she said to the pair. "Tuesday after class?" Luke looked confused at Edenne and shrugged a little. "I don't know what you mean. I can cast a few small spells, and call up fire...." His nervousness had come back in a flood. He seemed to be most worried when the fire came up. "It's not like yours, alive, or controlled. I can just make it be there. I rather like the spells more. They are all math and remembering." |

"Tuesday after class..." Candice appears to taste the words for a moment as she thinks. "That sounds like a plan. I'll be there, Lily, and thank you."

Not long later Home Room was deemed over, and the class was dismissed to go about their lunch as they saw fit. Class was not for another two hours, so they had lots of time to eat, and travel to where they had to be.
(Feel free to post in here a little bit more. I will have the classes up in a bit, tonight likely) |
