It's also 'supposed' to be Cabiri, not Cebiri; not that it really matters.

Greets friends. I am going to moving again over the weekend early week. This will be taking me a while and as such you should know that I will not have the net everyday. I will still try to be on here and there and keep you posted, but I may be away a little.
This means I can still play, just not as quickly. No worries though! |

Just to let everyone know whats going on the halflings are not speaking some rare dialect of Abyssal. Since Abyssal is the natural language of chaotic evil beings I figure it would be rather...inexact...so I will be providing three possible translations whenever someone speaks to you in abyssal, at least one will make sense everytime, sometimes more than one, I will leave it up to you to figure out which translation best fits the situation you find yourselves in.

So, all Abyssal will have this limitation? Would this be overcome by tonuges or similar?
In any case, I am now on holidays! See you all in one week.

Hey guys--once again, sorry for not posting in a while. Had to deal with a bunch of bullshit with my service provider, who kept cutting our service off rather than simply deactivating the new experimental service they convinced us to get.
__________________Anyway, I really want to actually get active in the game, and it looks like things have slowed down enough that I can finally get a chance. I think I'll explain Rash'kaliz's absence by saying he was summoned for an extended audience by one of his longtime Abyssal patrons, a poweful myrmixicus lord and vassal of Dagon (althout Rash'kaliz no longer worships Dagon's "ally" Demogorgon, and the parting conditions were less than friendly, Rash'kaliz remains on close terms with Dagon and several of his favored allies and servants). The myrmixicus, Nupozerudon, is an extremely powerful sorcerer who has mastered nigh-epic planeshifting magic in order to transport his enormous floating city back and forth from its home in the Abyssal Ocean to the Elemental Plane of Water for purposes of trading slaves, information (for Nupozerudon maintaints a vast spy network that covers much of the Abyss and the Abyssal Ocean), and magic items with the less-savory residents of that plane. In particular, Nupozerudon is an active player in the City of Glass' "underworld", and much of his business, both illicit and not, is done with his many contacts in that aquatic metropolis. |

Grim: Yes, all uses of Abyssal will have this limitation, however I will normally provide another means of communication for important speeches/discussions.

Alright...should I make an IC post explaining my absence or something?

I'm fine with the 'you-were-there-all-along' explanation. It's simple, and it works - nothing particularly momentous has occurred, just idle travelling chatter.
If you want a more interesting explanation, I don't think anyone has any objections to the one you posted earlier. |

I would also be happy with the 'you were there and just not talking' explanation, it's the simplest. If you want to use a more complicated explanation assume that you were magically transported to the Halflings cave village by your benefactor.

Ok, need some feedback, I hadn't planned a specific encounter yet but I get the feeling that some of you are getting bored so I want to get some opinions before I make the next post. Do you guys want a random combat encounter now or would you rather wait?
