"With group this big, perhaps we could catch more than we need to, of course competition is guaranteed with others who have similar size.... ah here it is! A wing snaring device." Jin quickly looks up and down as he sees Olrick's gesture and follows him to step away form the crowd. As he exclaims his finding in his book, he mumbles in his lips; to Olrick the schematic looks bit complicated but in overall picture it shows similar image of bolas. " that's alright Miss Dwarf, we just don't like the majority of the population over there. by the way, if I am correct, those discs are either modified final messenger for warforged components? plus using warforged as a target seems rather expensive noting that someone was wondering about destroying them..." Jin mutters as he glances over the dwarf through his spectacles and reading the schematics once more. Then he realizes the hafling and a female with small pieces of clothing standing with the group. Raising his eyebrows to the sorceress - the notion of her being sorceress is so evident; from her clothing to posture shows she's not the type to go in battle with swords and shields but with might of arcane. " greetings master halfling and miss, what are your professions? it would be easy for us to devise a tactic to gather the discs if we know our strengths and weaknesses." he asks to both. "They tell me I'm a Sorcoress, which is as good a title as any. I generate electricity mostly with a few other spells to cover my bases. I hope you got something better then the eyebrow thing because I really need this job and I'm not going to carry other people's weight." |

"Ah assumptions Miss, I was merely raising my eyebrows on since it will change my role in participating in this event. Since you tell me you're one with powers of electricity, I would go ahead with my original plans of path of least destruction." he adds in as he takes out his equipment to install components on his braces.

"I assure you Miss Zero that i won't be any burden, I'm just preparing for my retrieval, not seek and destroy." he adds as he successfully fixes components into parts that looks like a sling shot mounted on arm. |

Arelis had kept quiet for now, merely observing the events, listening to the idle chatter of the other applicants and keeping her thoughts to herself while she evaluated the trial ahead.
Not exactly an usual appearance among the small crowd, the feather-shrouded Ranger continued to eye the female dwarf who had been informing and instructing the other hopefuls so far. She was definitely interested, yet still chose to remain silent for the time being. Though she was gifted with flight as any mature raptoran was, the limited space of the sewers would hardly provide a suitable environment for her to make use of that ability. So I could either try and capture one of those flying disks or ambush a successful person when he returns... |

As the doors close and the Dwarfess makes her announcements, Olrick purses his lips in expected disappointment. He decides to continue looking over Jin's schematics.
__________________As the tension seems to rise between Jin and this newcoming courtier sorceress, Olrick decides to attempt to diffuse the situation. "This bolas-design here. How can we be sure that it won't damage the thing? We don't know where the message is held-- in the wings, the center, or whatever. Are there safeguards against applying too much pressure when trapping it?" As he speaks, his hands glide over the paper like a swan on water, grace unnatural in so bulky a man. |

"I wonder what would happen if we just asked, can't say I like the idea of wrecking a living thing when I don't have to- metal and cog insides not withstanding."

"Are there any particular markings on our targets so that we can recognize them more easily?" Arelis suddenly interjected. "It would be unfit for the future employees of this esteemed office of acquisitions to randomly assault and threaten just any warforged they happen to cross in the city's sewers, right?"
"Finally, I'd like to ask wether we are given any clues or hints on the initial location of these warforged." The raptoran seemed a bit edgy, though she was doing her best to muster what patience she could while she was awaiting a reply. |

Jin looks at Olrick with a smile of confidence.
"To be frank, this is like tanglefoot bag, only it functions as hindering the movement of its flight movement, otherwise it's harmless... assuming the schematic that I have copied from the artificer who copied it from another artificer who won it from former member of trickster cabiet's artificer in game of dire rat race." regardless of the ridicule of his sentence, Jin looks pretty serious about how he got the schematic from. " now, this is just precautionary before assuming that the warforged actually releases the disc from itself. I'm sure with this many able men, and women, we will have at least four methods of accomplishing our goal." |

The individual approached by the not-halfling was a tall, rugged-looking man with hazel skin, long, braided hair wearing a spined breastplate and a huge, wicked greatsword on his back. On his head, he wore one of the most ostentatious hats you've ever seen. It was leopard-fur dyed red, with a very wide, sweeping brim, clearly supported from within because it was nearly four feet across. A single, massive peacock feather jutted from the band, bobbing behind him with each motion. As he clapped eyes on the little halfling, he smiled, showing a major overabundance of sharp teeth. "Hoy! Iz onna dem Leetle peeplez!" The man said, promptly folding at the knees to dip down to the halfling's level. "Vell, I dunno about ze whole teemin' op ting, hyu iz kinna shrimpy. Vot do hyu do?" He asked Sammy, his thick accent vaguely comical, if it hadn't come out of such impressive teeth.
Professor Xaias arced an eyebrow at the question. "Indeed, the tokens are final messengers, custom-made by our own staff artificer to bear the proper insignia." The she-dwarf explained, then turned to the raptoran. "The only mark you should need is the messenger on their chest, before they release it." She said. "That, and they act like professors, instead of the filth you find down there." She said with a barely-restrained sneer. "And no, there will be no hints. They're in the sewers and in this city. That's all you get." |

"Carries the prize in their chests, and they're professors. Good to know" Zero says, inwardly hopeful that just talking to them will be good enough now.

Sammy laughed goodheartedly. "Why yes, I am one of those little people. Keen logic you have there my good man. It's good to meet a fellow scholar. Now then, to answer your question. What can I do? Why my strong, intelligent, handsom friend, I am the very essence of utility! Why I assure you that between my leadership and hidden skills and your obvious fighting ability and natural people skills we should be able to get a messenger for both of us. In fact, I bet we could get even more messengers and sell them for lots of money! Of course I dont like money, so you would have to take it all if we did that. So what do you say my good friend?"

As Garrick noted the back and forth conversation of the people around him, he decided that it was time to throw his two cents back into the fray.

Olrick nods his head solemnly at Jin's explanations. He continues to sulk that he's stuck in this room of prospectives. It was highly likely that people would be trying to latch onto him and his worthy partner in mechanics.
__________________"Alright, then," Olrick said, specifically to Jin, "lets talk strategy. What are our methods, more specifically. I'm one for a slick hand and a heavy fist. Words aren't my forte, but I can manage in a pinch. What say you to me causing the release, and you the catch?" |

"Have lightning, will travel," Zero adds with a grin, "Although I would prefer a chance to try and talk them into giving them up without a fight first. Don't like the idea of zapping someone just for not helping me get a job."
