yes, you can help. I don't know who's bluff would be the best, but I'm devising a stratagy in game, how to get into the city once we arrive.

EDIT: I don't think Jenna's messy handwriting would be best for forging documents though, lol.

Forgery would be cause for a skill challenge. It will require multiple skill checks and be pretty hard to pull off without a sample of what you're trying to forge. I'm actually going to try to get some input on this from other DMs, because it's not really covered anywhere.

Craft is defunct in 4e. If it's something that fits into your character's history, it's pretty much assumed that you can make it. If it's something exotic, a skill challenge might be in order.. But, it would depend what a lot on what it was.

OK. So, my main goal is to get into the city, which is what I assume everyone else's is, because we can't get the reward from the priest unless we get him into the city.

So, some info that could be very useful, and why I'm talking about forgery. Even though it's under lockdown, you can get in and out of the city with special papers, like a pass. I don't currently know if we need one for everyone, or if we could all get by with just one pass. I'm trying to get the word to people who would best be able to aqcuire these things in game, which would be foggy and probably vic, since he's from the area.

Oh is that why I'm supposed to steal a paper? XD For some reason, I didn't put the stealing of papers together with the earlier conversation about forgery.

Yah, I was trying to do the whole thing in game, and just not say anything, but as I was thinking about it, I thought it would be very hard. Sure, maybe your character might not see the good reason, but you should probably know why I'm asking.

. I put it together after your last comment. Jenna figured out what kind of papers you needed, but I don't think she would put it together with forgery. She'll get you what you need, but she's hoping you will make it worth her while for the risk

lol. It's worth HER while anyway. We can't get into the city without it, and we won't get paid by the priest if we can't get him into the city.
