Caelynna curses. She doesn't just curse a little. She curses with only the fury of a woman with over a century of experience could curse. Rapid fired insults ranging from the goblin's heritage, to his choice in magical devices. Flustered and angry, she stuffs her wand into her belt carefully, and with one hand to the wall, makes her way back up the hall they'd come from. The moon elf stops once she's sure she is around the corner, rubbing at the stars in her eyes trying to blink away the effect of the blinding.

Round 2.4 & Init 16
Minor: Put wand away
Move: Fumbling back around the corner to square (11, 7)
Standard: None

Glad to see Pat back on his feet, Soleynos pauses for a moment to catch his breath before aiming another curse towards the remaining ennemies. He targets the beetle as it has proved to be most annoying during this unlucky encounter, hoping to finish it off quickly so they can catch the goblins' leader. Afterwards, Soleynos retreats into the tunnel to get some cover against whatever threat is left in the room.

Patrin moves forward and releases yet another wave of lightning along with a mighty roar at his foes. His momentum carries him forward and he then smacks the remaining beetle with all hes got.

Despite being disappointed with his performance in battle, Lio is unable to muster enough strength to offer any support to his companions at the moment. He stays where he is around the corner catching his breath back, hoping that the others can finish off the remaining enemies without him.

Saving throw vs blindnessI'm not sure if this is necessary (i.e. whether abcradit accepted my first roll, which was successful, or the second one, which failed), just in case here's another one.

Obviously not enjoying this particular room, Soleynos again fails to strike his target while Caelynna cures herself of her temporary blindness.

The first rat runs forward to bite at Elliot. No dice. Patrin's dragon breath appears ineffective, but his brute strike puts an end to the fire beetle threat.

Eolioth hangs back while Elliot finishes the group's final assailant.

OODMAnd the round is over...I was worried for a bit that we were going to have to go again.

Iberus, sorry for the confusion. Eolioth would have had more difficulty accomplishing his goal if he'd stayed blind. I accepted the first roll.

I'm still super confused at whatever is going on with our dragonborn friend...hopefully this will get clarified soon.

Let me know what the out-of-combat plan is and where we go from here.

When the noise of the battle subsides, Eolioth moves back into the room to congratulate his companions on their prowess. "Very well done! I am only sorry I was not more useful, but I will try and learn from this and make more of an impression next time. I took a lot of punishment and, if you others are of similar mind, I would prefer we had a bit of a rest before going further."

intended actionsIf the rest of the party agrees, Lio will take a short rest and use a couple of surges.

Having calmed down slightly from her tirade, she nods her head. Squinting, with one eye shut she looks to Lio, "Agreed, a moments rest is necessary. But not too long, the last thing I saw before the lights went out was that scorched goblin spellcaster running out the other side of the room. I expect he'll be getting everyone else ready for us to come through." She fluffs out her cloak, looking rather ragged after that last fight. Cael pulls out her wand again, keeping it close at hand in case anything should happen while they catch their breath. "It's also pretty likely that they will have some sort of trap or ambush waiting for us. I suggest that when a fight starts, only move in as far as you have to in order to attack. Stay close and watch over each other while Soleynos and I blast them from range."

Cael will spend 2 surges if we do get in a short rest here.

Soleynos is still shaken from the fight and his thoughts are restless: "How come my power failed me? All those years of suffering for this? A bumbling idiot unable to twart those that oppose him?". The tiefling is now seething and only the sight of his wounded companions brings back some calm. "That trickster will pay, mark my word" growls Soleynos, crouching in the shadows to get his focus back.

OOCI think 1 healing surge is worth 6hp for Soleynos (25/4) so he will spend 2 to get to full hp. Who has a daily power left? I think Lio and I do and maybe Pat but I'm still confused because of the powers' names.

Elliot polishes the ichor and blood from the battle off his axe. "I think a short rest would do us well" he says. Then he finds a clear area and settles down to pray and meditate to heal his numerous wounds.

OoCElliot will spend 3 healing surges to get back up to full HP. Also I used my Daily but I still have my Lay On Hands ability. Since no one else has mentioned it yet. Let's make sure we search for treasure before we move on to the next encounter.

That tickled. Patrin states while rubbing his snout and throat . He gives a mighty cough and blows his nose. He then proceeds to vigorously rub his nose and throat. He sighs and bends down to pick up his axe the battle buzz ebbing out of his limbs. He gives a mighty shake and scrunches up his nose a couple of times. I'm ready when ever you guys are. Patrin states while moving his nose around and making faces. He finally just gives up and leans against the wall.

OOCPatrin will spend a healing surge to put him at full Hp
He does not have his daily left but he never did use his encounter this encounter which is a bad idea in hind sight.

Soleynos summons additionnal layers of shadows before entering the room where the battle raged just a few minutes ago.The cloud of noxious vapors is still mildly irritating but doesn't hinder the tiefling's progress too much as he heads towards the spot where the hexer disapeared. Soleynos takes a look into the corridor to assert the situation.

Soleynos barely opens the door an inch when a gray wolf lets out a howl that instantly alerts the other creatures to their arrival (as if the goblin leader hadn't already done so). Worse, an even louder, more frightening howl emanates from deeper in the chamber. Soleynos jumps back, unable to obtain any picture of what's facing the team in the next room.

OODMI have the map and all of the rest of the stuff we need done and I was about to post it, but I think I'll wait. I don't know if there's anything you guys want to do based on the little information Soleynos has acquired, so I'll let another round of posts go before we start combat.

Lio starts at the wolf's howl and as Soleynos jumps back he moves swiftly towards the door, grabbing it firmly without yet opening it. He pauses for a second or two until he sees that the party is ready then springs into action.

"Right, let's go for it! " the Genasi shouts, swinging the door wide open with his sword held out in front of him.

OOCLio blasted through 3 surges during the rest.
