[Glossary] Pack of Goblins!
Alakkon: The continent to the north of Jerimon. Populated by giants and savages, primarily rolling plains and endless frozen peaks. Ancalor: A multi-continental empire, spanning the Blood Ocean, with the Twin Capitals of Zethrim and Zerrum, the former in Jerimon and the latter in Frynal Blackblood Boys: You! Blood Ocean: The ocean separating Jerimon from Frynal. Notorious for pirates and all manner of unsavory weather and monster danger, it is littered with islands, and the merchant-kings of Ancalor control the best trade routes. Darkpine Forest: One of the many woods lying at the southern base of the Truemetal Mountains, Darkpine Forest is home to many trade routes and dwarven communities, the Whitewash River, and is known as the residence of a great number of dangers, including dire animals, and a contingent of fey. Darkshanks: Reknown goblin shaman and adviser to Gutripper. Age unknown, but has proven a cunning and ruthlessly intelligent leader. Dirtgrog: A heady goblin wine, distilled from mushrooms, berries, dwarven ale, and whatever else happens to be around. Highly potent and often disgusting. Frynal: Across the Blood Ocean from Jerimon, mostly unexplored. Known to contain mases of jungles and seemingly endless deserts. Gold Road. The: Largest trade route in the area, runs from Gurron in the east to the coastal trade city of Journey's Beginning in the west. Runs along the Whitewash River, and goes through Darkpine Forest at the foot of the Truemetal Mountains and the Savage Swamps. Grak, Al-: Craftsgoblin deity. Blind, and a patron of all those goblins who would turn towards crafting. Prefers bulk quantity over quality of craftsmanship, but has been known to create wonders when necessary. Said to have crafted a thousand thousand swords in a single night. Green Road, The: Major trade route connecting the depths of Darkpine Forest with the Gold Road along the Whitewash River Greendeep: Dwarven town in the heart of Darkpine Forest. Two days ride from Stonehome, it begins the Green Road, a trade route. Hundreds of dwarves live here, as well as a sizeable contingent of humans, gnomes, and elves. Contains a large gold mine, and exports lumber, skins, gold, and gems. Gurron: Trade city of the dwarves, encompassing a large part of Kur-Varen. Surrounded by Darkpine Forest Gutripper: Chieftan of the Stoneskull Clan, a savage and brutal goblin warrior, posessed of a keen tactical sense and a drive for goblin expansion. Hoild-Nez: A foothill of Kur-Varen, was the site of an ancient dwarven cairn and burial ground. Has relatively recently been repurposed by the Stoneskull Clan of goblins into their main city. See also Stonehome. Hotblood: A berzerker and ruthless fighter in the service of Stonehome. The primary militia, serves as both a raider and a standing defender of the warren. Iron Mountain, The: See Kur-Varen Journey's Beginning: Large multiracial trade city on the coast of the Blood Ocean, at the mouth of the Whitewash River. Karaz-Műl: Homeland of the dwarves on Jerimon. Lies to the northwest of the continent, and is primarily the craggy peaks of the Truemetal Mountains. Surrounded by forests to the south and coastal swamps to the east, the Human kingdom of Goldrend to the west, and the gnomish kingdom of Skuttledeep in the hills to the north Kur-Varen: The Iron Mountain, one of the oldest and largest mountains in the Truemetal Mountains. Plays host to several dwarven cities, including the ancient city of Gurron, housing thousands of dwarves, a bustling merchant community, and several Forge-Lords of great power. Savage Swamps: Large, treacherous saltwater swamps to the north and west of Darkpine Forest. Primarily uncivilized and the most dangerous part of the journey between Gurron and Journey's Beginning. Shyrae: The name of the world as you know it. Consisting of many continents, you currently reside on the continent of Jerimon, connected by a land bridge to Alakkon to the north, and across the Blood Ocean from the island-continent of Frynal Slobberjaws: A paunchy goblin with a facial deformity. Resides around Greendeep, and acts as an informant to goblins in Darkpine Forest. Stonehome: Home of the Stoneskull Goblins, in the foothill Hoild-Nez. In a relatively isolated part of Darkpine Forest. Stoneskull Goblins: Large clan of goblins living in Hoild-Nez. T'kas'ck, Al-: A Goblin Deity known for his selfishness, cruelty and luck. Worshippers include evil Rogues and Goblins. Truemetal Mountains: The core of Karaz-Műl, a band of massive, dead volcanoes housing many dwarven towns and kingdoms. Varen Ironhands: The namesake of Kur-Varen, an ancient dwarven hero. Rumored to have destroyed an entire army of giants using only his twin hammers and his pet boar made of iron. V'fak, Al-: Also known as the Soulstealer. Creature of goblin myth, thought to roam the lands taking the souls of both the living and dead. Also considered the guardian of the afterlife. Should your soul be taken, you were damned to roam a hellish labyrinth for a hundred years. Waller: A Stoneskull goblin devoted to the protection and defense of Stonehome. Recently replaced by Gutripper's Hotbloods. Whitewash, The: One of the major rivers flowing out of the Truemetal Mountains, the Whitewash claims tributary at the heart of Kur-Valen, and serves as a major trade route between the dwarven kingdoms, especially Gurron and coastal trade communities.
