Race: Gnome Class: Artificer Age: 46 Apperence: Clink stands at about three and a half feet tall. By last count he weighed around 46 pounds, but has been a while. Clink's eyes are a light sky blue. He has light, sand colored, hair that hangs down to just above his shoulders and is kept loose. His skin is lightly tan, as if he worked in the sun. When he isn't tinkering he usually prefers to where typical gnome clothing in shades of light blue or red. When he is working on his creations he prefers to where loosefitting breeches and a toolbelt. Usually brown and oil stained. Character Idea: Clink intends on creating his own self sustaining life in the sky. Living in a large zepplin and floating around working to his hearts content. With the rumors of pirates he is even more intnet. He always wanted to meet a pirate. I plan on eventually going into the pilot prestige class. I want a character that is more at home in the sky than on the ground. He is going to be focusing on mastering transportation mechanics first, and then he is going to work on defenses. Short History: Clink grew up in a moderately sized city of mostly dwarves humans and gnomes. He took to the works likie a ngnome with the attention of a human. He focused intently on small quick goals and then moved on with haste. At a young age he developed a number of small workings that did little, but looked interesting. As of his emergance into adulthood he took to traveling, following a large zepplin in the sky he saw one day until he came to a body of water he couldnt wim acroos, so he turned and headed north. He eventually came across a large mountain he had no way of traversing so he turned around and headed south. He travelled for quite some time, but eventually came upon a large canyon, on the other side of which loomed a desert. Clink grew frustrated and headed to the nearest town, where he aquired all the machinery he could afford and began to build himself some sort of machine to take him wherever he decided to go. He rembembered the zepplin he followed on his journey and attempted to build one, but he didnt have the proper materials, so instead he built al plane. The plane was small, but so was he. The plane was not as good of quality a he had wanted, but it was sky worthy - at least, to clink. Clink got in the plane and travelled as far west as he could, until he came upon the water, and headed out to sea. Clink flew for what felt like days, and was in fact two. Unfortunatly, on the evening of the second day, just as he saw land in the distance, his plane began to malfunction. Heheld it up as long as he could, long enough for him to reach the shore, but eventually the plane gave out and quickly dove for the sandy beach below. Clink was now in a strange land with nothing to call his own. He began walking further west. He eventually came to a town where he took a job as a craftsman and began to slowly build a new, and better, plane. Perhaps now he would travel north, over the mountain. RP Sample: "Son of an orc!" Clink's plane began to sputter. The shoreline was growing larger, but at this rate his plane wouldn't make it. Clink pulled out his trusty wrench and began working. Clink worked furiously, tightening screws and bolts at speeds enough to drive a construct mad. The screeching of bolts and the tearing of metal filled his ears as one of the wings tore free and plummeted to the ground some ninety feet below. With a splash it struck the waves and sunk to the ocean floor, a place Clink was nervous about visiting. Clink rummaged through his supplies and found a tarp. He secured the tarp to his back and prepared himself for a rough landing. As soon as he was certain he would make it to shallow water he jumped from the plane. The plane, now without a rider, bucked in the wind, happy to be free of his added bother, and plummeted straight into the beach. Clink fluttered in the air for a bit before eventually succumbing to gravity's desire and hitting the water some thirty feet from his plane. A single person saw his crash and walked over as clink pulled himself from the sea. The man was old and wrinkled. Probably a human, but it was hard to tell in the fading light. "So, you made it across. Not many do on their first try. You'd be surprised at the number of crashes just beyond the shallow water. A lot have people have taken to diving and scavenging parts. You're failure was not as bad as it could have been." "I didn't fail. I discovered a way that does not work." Clink replied, standing up and brushing sand from his clothes. He stood up and walked to his plane. The man followed. "Hmm. you remind me of myself at your age, well, the equivalent of your age. I didn't consider my failures as such either. Perhaps you will grow up to be like me. I certainly hope so. More people need to change the world." The man walked over to the edge of the water nd reached into the sand. When he walked back to Clink he carried with him two things. One was Clink's trusty wrench, the other, a broken cog wheel from his plane. He handed clink the wrench. "You might need this. Also, take this as well." The man reached up and took off a necklace. From it hung a small metal object. One end looked like a normal wrench, while the other was a small large toothed cog. The cog-wrench was made of a deep black metal that shined in the fading light. "You may need this almost as much." The man handed Clink the necklace and took the cog with him as he walked south along the beach. Last edited by Aramais; 05-10-2009 at 11:37 AM. |

Aramias: Need to put that muskeet under Clink's weapons as well, with damage and all that fun stuff.
And I'll say it again: Everyone Needs to Put Your Left Over Gold in the Currency Slot of the Character sheet, or which ever area Money usually Goes into. |

The two weapons you asked for are located in the Oriental Adventures Corebook and I really don't know why the knowledges are crossed out.

If he's using the same sheet I am, which it looks like he is, then any trained-only skills he doesn't have ranks in are crossed out. It's why a lot of my knowledges are crossed out, as well as Handle Animal and certain other skills.

He's also misunderstood something. On that sheet you're meant to tick the skills that are you class skills, not your cross-class skills. So none of the knowledges should be ticked for ninja.
Plus they're crossed out since they're trained only skills. So they can't be used unless you put ranks in them. So if he puts a rank in one, it won't be crossed out anymore. That's all there is to it. |

Ah. Alright, game will start as soon as I put up the first game Post. If I'm a bit slow, please don't mind me, I'm trying to decide some stuff to add or not, and am working on the first major NPC.
I hope everyone enjoys! |
