Haha, I've got to say though, I find it far more difficult to DM in real life, trying to bounce off the players and still provide a satisfying, realistic world is damn near impossible, I'm glad you've liked it so far...

Well, RL doesn't have an EDIT button. And sometimes, you're stuck doing things on the spot. =3

Yeah, I agree, your characters feel very real. I understand what you mean - I hate DM'ing in real life. Maybe I'll hate it in PbP too, but I don't think I'll try.

If I'm already posting, I'll say now that from Sunday to Thursday I will not be anywhere near a computer. I'm going to a summer camp (an Israeli-Palestinian summer camp, no less). You can NPC Sahar. if you get into battle, she will try more sneaking and less melee. She may hesitate to hurt humans, but she won't think twice before killing orcs.

The characters are good so far, except that stable master. How has he not named the grown horses yet? Everyone I know that has/tends horses has a name for them at an early age. maybe he just doesn't like animals all that much.... But it's fun throwing stuff like that in there, keeps us all on our toes.

Looking forward to seeing who else you'll be introducing us too and revisiting the old npc's, ie the man who was saying his to us. I'd like to talk to him when we get back to camp.

I don't know about y'all but I prefer to dm and play in RL. I usually improv most of it, such as my Mutants and Masterminds game, but I just seem to do better with being able to see the other players face-to-face. As for the horses, I know it'd be more realistic for them to have their own names, but it probably made it easier on our DM here for us to name them, also I have noticed that horses name's tend to change with their ownership.

The reason he has not named the horses is because he feels it allows the rider/ new owners to bond with their new partners from the beginning, rather than having the feeling of being given a standard horse, with everything already prepared for you, it allows you to start more from scratch, obviously without having to deal with them from foals onwards... Or that's my DM reasoning anyway... But thank you...

Free cookies to anyone who recognizes where Cassandra's philosophy of war, and the quotes from that philosophy's book, come from.

Heh. Cassandra's been quoting the Tactica Imperium. You still get a cookie if you recognize where that's from-just a smaller cookie.

40K Warhammer, I think.

I still rather the original...but mostly because I play WAR a lot.

I'd love to play warhammer, but no one in my area plays T_T . Since I have no one to play with I haven't bothered to learn the rules either. My little Necron army is just sitting on the shelf, gathering dust.....

lcg's got it correct. I don't actually play the game (hideously expensive, for one), but I enjoyed the Dawn of War games, and like reading the WH40k books and lore.

Wow, I just found out an important thing for divine casters.... They don't need to sleep to regain their spells per-day. Check it out on the SRD for divine magic if you doubt. It says, and I quote:
Quote:
Time of Day: A divine spellcaster chooses and prepares spells ahead of time, just as a wizard does. However, a divine spellcaster does not require a period of rest to prepare spells. Instead, the character chooses a particular part of the day to pray and receive spells. The time is usually associated with some daily event. If some event prevents a character from praying at the proper time, he must do so as soon as possible. If the character does not stop to pray for spells at the first opportunity, he must wait until the next day to prepare spells.
I always thought they had to sleep first...

I think most people do it at night or in the morning as they usually sleep. Doing it at lunch time would be tough if you're in the middle of a war. people aren't going to stop fighting because you want to pray. But they do need to sleep at some point

Yes, but what I was geeking out over was that a divine caster could have broken or interrupted sleep (such as the kind one has with watch duty) and still regain their spells. Though I'm sure Holly isn't quite aware of that yet. But that information is really useful to me since I'm usually the cleric in my RL group.
