Vincent stops on a page as a symbol catches his eye. As he reads further on down the page he begins muttering. Freemasons. Moving closer to a rune, Vincent begins looking between the book and the runes. Looks like the runes are Masonic in nature, it appears as if the Masons were enemies of groups that stemmed from the Templars. Kind of interesting that they would use a Templar stronghold as a prison. Vincent says, before once again addressing the Mothmen, he is cut short by what the creature has to say.

Not sure. Thorne says rolling his gun and appearing to be checking his ammunition. Logically, if your info is correct, it sounds like these guys need to stay locked up right? However, who else here has every instinct in their bones telling them that helping these guys is the right thing to do? Thorne asks everyone.
__________________By the way... He holsters his gun, starts to offer his hand, then realizes the stupidity of that. Instead he says to the Mothman who's speaking: Name's Zachary Thorne. Just thought it'd be a good idea if we introduce ourselves. He smiles. But I'm sure you knew that. Might you boys have names? |

Logical to help em I'd have to agree with Zach. Doesn't mean we have to freeing em right this minute. Seems to me the logical thing to do is track down whoever is doing this whole gateway thing and let the tribe handle their end alone. If they can get past the runes like they say then that's a happy coincidence. Mostly I'm thinking we need to stop these masons or templars or whomever from causing more trouble.
__________________Wade nodded a sharp "thank you" towards the mothmen circle. Thanks Chief. Seems like our goals are marching side by side on this one. Can you point us to wherever this gateway is or those others trying to cause trouble? |

Joshua had been sitting off to the side leaning against a stalagmite quietly taking it all. His thought where still a little fuzzy but he did his best to pull it all in. So we can't free the Mothmen right now, but if we close the grate that was opened to the beyond? Then they would be freed? Honestly we came here for weapons. Joshua struggles for a moment to pull his thoughts together. Hell has been spewing evil into the world for the last six years. If these Mothmen know where this gate is and how to close it, then I would say freeing them is a small price to pay for preventing Armageddon.

The shaman seem puzzled on the discussion about names, it seems to be a hard topic for them. When asked about the gateway, the tribe leader standing replies, "It is a place of great power, very close to hear. Surely you can feel it. We sense that you have been near this place before, you have or have been in the presence of talismans. We are sure that you can find your way."

The shaman looks toward to tunnel behind them, "You can return to the surface after some time but continuing this way. No creature in this part of the Third Corner will stop you. " He sits with the others.

"Then we win at the gate." alma says simply once he catches back up to the conversation. He then turns to the mothmen. "What would you have us do?" He asks simply.

Joshua looks towards the more-then-just-a-chef chef. That was kind of my point. After sitting for several minutes Joshua stands and brushes himself off, then retrieves his sword from the ground.
__________________He examines it. The sword is slightly discolored from the the energy that had passed through it. Joshua takes a moment to pick at it in a attempt to remove the marking. Making no progress Joshua continues passed the mothmen and heads further down the cavern. If they have nothing to add we should get going. Hell isn't going to stuff itself into the pit. |

One of the six shaman stands and though this is a different mothman than before, the voice you hear is the same. "Free us to protect this gate to the Third Corner of the World by cleansing it from the foul creatures perverting it now. We have seen into your minds that you seek tools of power to aid you in your fight against the rising tide. Free us, and then we can use the Strength of the Tribe to call forth ancient weapons of might from the earth, that we once crafted to aid others of your kind in the same battle in which you now struggle."

I hope I brought enough for everyone, Rupert thinks, readjusting his medical bag.

Gary glances at the others, then nods. "We agree. If I may ask, though... would you also be willing to spend some time discussing the nature of the Tribe and the Third Corner of the World, so that we can understand it better? Perhaps with greater knowledge of our world, we can do better in protecting it from those others."
