Shapechange is a favorite of mine as well. The good thing about this party is that you all adventured for years and know each other, so no real worries about killing each other because of that. You're all veterans. But, it doesn't mean you get along all the time.

I mean, he can cast charm person, fascinate and like spells practically at will.

Now...while I won't have the ability...I wonder if the tenth level learn the truth ability can pierce Mindblank, lol.

Eitherways, I suppose there's always Dispel Magic...I suppose I should pack a few of those.

Question about metamagic: Is using reach metamagic + chain metamagic legal?

Question for my fellow players: Do you think spell penetration/ greater spell penetration are wasted feats? I could always cast or use a wand of assay resistance

I was going to build a staff for Zarpuk that contained some of those yummy metabreath spells from Draconomicon. But if the spell gems would work better (i.e. more cost effective), I'd happily give those a try.

Edit: CH82 - Yes, they're wasted feats. Assay Resistance is good, as is that feat that lets you "take 10" on caster level checks.

Plus you already get a +2 to bypass SR from the Vest. If SR is a concern, you can do what I did and grab a few spells that SR doesn't affect.

As for the Arcanist Stones, I've been thinking about spending the last of my gold on one, but I'm uncertain on what I would want it to do. Any suggestions?

And lcg16, go with Greater Dispel Magic. That +10 that Dispel Magic gives won't do too much against the level that we might be facing.
