(The following happened during a tabletop event on Wednesday, June 17th. It will be transcribed to the best of my ability and will contain several paraphrases. Most battles will be summarised.)

York purchased the high tops from Doffin Trabbels, and aaroB and Drogtor decided that nothing he had was worth their money. 17 greeted Ulrich and his wife, and gleaned the information that the red crystals she had found on the amateur mage had hallucinogenic properties and were traded in high demand in Heln Mitel. Then, 17 gave her old arm to Ulrich for him to break into its base parts when he had the time.

Then, Ilinfs shadow covered the campsite. Her feared and imposing silhouette appeared on the crest of the hill that boxes in the valley. She had left her tent now, apparently, and had walked with her staff up to a point on the hill where she could address everyone. The sun, which was directly behind her, created an amber aura around her, highlighting her own colour.

Alliah was with her, as always. She was dressed in what must be her battle garb: a leather strap covering her chest, and leather bottoms, with straps around her wrists, arms, and legs. Parts of her body were wrapped in cloth, similar to how she had bandages when they had first met, but this time it was more likely that she used them to avoid the chafing of the leather. Around her waist was a harness of sorts, holding her two tonfas in a holster. Her paint was reapplied, now to her entire body, creating intricate patterns of swirls to mimic Ilinfs robe. The left half of her body was red, and the right half was white. She held a spear in her left hand, with some fabric tied under the blade. She held it to her hip, holding it so it pointed straight up into the air. The fabric billowed like a flag.

Ilin had everyonefs attention, and thusly she addressed everyone.

"Friends. Old friends, new friends, I thank all of you for coming here. I know that not all of you wanted to, and I know that not everyone I asked did. This does not matter, as everyone here now was destined to be here."

"I have told you my story, but what I havenft told you is yours. No. Ours. Our story, which continues today, and which will be told for ages to come. This is because our story is willed by the gods."

"We have been chosen, friends. What higher cause for action is there than to be chosen by those who have ultimate power? But even those with ultimate power seem to need mortals, and those are we."

"This world we live in is comprised of two parts – hemispheres – that are separated. The other side is much different from ours, so I am told, but they are ruled by the same gods, just like our own. However, they have already completed what we have yet to do."

"The gods, ages ago, placed 5 crystals on each hemisphere. The crystals were beacons of power, and held the world together, like thread, intertwining themselves through the planes and through time and through ourselves. For each of the 10 crystals, a guardian. They are known as the Dragon Overlords. I donft know how many of you here have seen a dragon before, but I am sure you have heard of them in legend. They are real."

"We are to be rewarded by the gods, we mortals. The Overlords have done their job, and now it is up to us to reclaim the crystals for those with ultimate power. The other hemisphere has done so already, and they reap great rewards. I hear tales of disease being a thing of the past; crops flourish like never before; peace reigning. Epoch has told me it is our time, now. We must take the last 5 crystals and converge them. Then Rai will be one again."

"We have many trials ahead of us. We may have to defeat the Overlords. We may have to travel to each end of this hemisphere. But we will not fail, because we are chosen, and thus we cannot fail."

Ilin slammed her staff into the ground, and Alliah followed suit with her spear.

"FRIENDS. WILL YOU FOLLOW ME?"

The party agreed in earnest. Ilin continued to detail the quest:

"Each crystal is guarded by a dragon overlord, although they have been known to leave their post, some more frequently than others. Each crystal has a colour, and a power assigned to it. We only know of the colours at this point."

"There are five. Blue, green, red, white, and black. Each crystalfs colour has a corresponding guardian. The idea is to take the crystal by either bypassing the overlord, or defeating it."

"The crystals are known as Hallyastoriah, or Life from Gods. The crystals, once touched by a mortal, will be absorbed into the body of said mortal, and find a new home. What we must do is collect all the crystals into a single body – and I have been chosen for this duty. We do not know what is to happen to me, but I do not care, for I have been chosen."

"Friends, I warn you: do not touch the Hallyastoriah, no matter what is promised! The only way to remove the crystal is to destroy the body that it lives in."

"Now, we must decide which crystal is our first goal. We only know of the location of 4; the red crystal eludes us as of yet. I will explain to you what we know:

To the northwest, on this continent, in the mountains of Grurt, lives the blue dragon, Khellendros. He is the guardian of the blue crystal. He is wise and knowledgeable, and has been known to actually hold counsel with mortals who needed his help. This is the closest crystal to us, and will perhaps be the simplest to attain."

"To the northeast, across the great sea, lie two islands lost in time. One is known as Tempra Suylor, and the great green dragon Berylinthranox is said to sleep there. She guards the green crystal. Finding a route to Tempra Suylor will be difficult and the creatures there are quite powerful. It will be an arduous task."

"To the southwest, the land of the Ohonjin lies. They have adopted Gellidus, the white dragon, as their "god", and he, full of material greed, often visits them to receive gifts. We do not know where he keeps the white crystal, but it is rumoured that the Ohonjin know. This task may or may not be simple."

"To the southeast, a mire of goblins and other murky creatures guards the passage across the sea to the swamp where Onysablet, the black dragon, rules over them. Onysablet has grown vicious and self-absorbed, and most likely sleeps with the black crystal beside her. It would be a long trip to reach her."

"The red dragon is the fiercest and largest of the overlords. Her name is Malystryx. No one has heard from her for many decades."

"Now tell me, friends. Where shall we go?"

The party held a vote, and the great majority decided to head to the closest dragon, the great blue Khellendros. They had high hopes that they could talk to the dragon and explain their case, and have him hand over the crystal without a fight.

Ilin pointed the party in the correct direction. The tents and campsite were packed up, but left where the sat. Doffin Trabbels, without so much as a farewell, disappeared in a different direction.

After a few short days of travelling, they arrived in the mountains of Grurt, near the base of a particularily tall one. They came across a small dwarven town that was apparently a mining town. They never got the name.

The town was very small, and the party gleaned little from the inhabitants other than there was a mine, and they needed help. Some of the members agreed to do so, and with Ilin's suggestion that checking out the mine would probably be a good idea, considering the blue dragon was supposed to be near here, they headed into it.

The dwarf who lowered them into the mine mentioned that the elevator to take them up was only activated once, at night. The party hesitantly agreed, and entered the mine via a rope. Alliah and Ilin remained behind, and Ilin's age began to show, as she claimed she could not climb the rope.

The mining escapade was short and violent. Moobles decided to challenge one of the dwarves to a drinking contest in order to obtain information, but he had never been known for holding his liquor. After three rounds, he had passed out on the rocky floor. Soon after, a small patch of the "shiny rock" that the dwarves apparently coveted was located and Drogtor quickly claimed it was his(despite York finding it). He attempted to force the dwarves to give him the location of the dragon, using the rock as a bribe. While Drogtor fiercely interrogated the dwarf, York snatched the stone from his hand and scaled the rope, exiting the mine. Drogtor continued his intimidation, and managed to find out that the great blue dragon Khellendros no longer wanted visits from mortals, and had sealed himself away in a cave. The only entrance hidden by a massive mansion. They later found out that the mansion was to the north, as aaroB, trying his own method of reasoning, successfully got the dwarves to speak.

Rakar and York had escaped the mine, but Drogtor proved too heavy, causing the rope to snap. Rakar managed to pull Ulrich up with his own rope, but even with Ulrich's vines aiding Rakar, he couldn't manage anyone else. York in the meantime had found the elevator and lowered it for the rest of the team, causing the original dwarf who had let them into the mine to panic. He shortly bumped his head on a piece of rock and was given a short nap.

The party quickly located the mansion, having not noticed it before, and headed north before the dwarves noticed the chaos they had caused.

The mansion was quite wide, and at least three stories high. It was larger than Ulrich's, Rakar noted. The party decided to split up, allowing Ulrich and Lunulae to scout around while the rest of them went through it. Ulrich, up until now, had seemed quite bored and didn't involve himself in any of the conversation. He jumped at this opportunity, it seemed, which would allow him to be alone with his wife. Ilin and Alliah remained at the back, as Ilin seemed to be moving slower than usual. She claimed the reason she did not fight was because it was the adventurer's duty, not hers.

The mansion was large and very old; dust covered every surface. Undead were quickly discovered, and the party split up to take them down quickly. They were humanoid zombies, and they did not put up much of a fight. Some of the adventurers came across wisps, strange ghosts that were merely wavy rays of light, appearing as cloth floating through the air. The party assumed these creatures to be immune to any sort of physical damage, and aimed to attack them with fireballs and healing spells, which proved effective.

The party discovered some traps, as Ilin was struck with a knife trap in the kitchen, but recovered with Alliah and 17's help. On a higher level, a floor gave way to being trodden upon, and the adventurers fell into the bathroom below, which attempted to flood them, but to no avail. At one point, dwarves, possessed by some sort of ghost, attacked the party. They were incredibly tough, but were taken down by sheer force. Alex the Wizard managed to use his Gust of Wind to eject some of the wisps from the mansion itself.

Another undead creature was discovered: a zombie that took two forms, physical and ethereal. Its physical body lay on a bed, provoking the more violent members of the party to attack it. It was then that the ethereal form struck from behind, biting its chilling teeth into the very soul of its prey. aaroB was the first to experience this, and did away with the physical body, causing the ghost to evapourate in a cloud of ectoplasm.

One of the parties located a room where a ghost invisible to the naked eye seemed fond of tossing furniture at the adventurers. They quickly realized that they could do nothing to this creature, and left.

Another of the bed-ridden undead was found in a room on the second floor. After slaying the body, however, the ghost did not disappear. Moobles toppled a dresser on it, but it passed right through it, confirming that they did not make contact with physical beings. Moobles noticed the puddle of ectoplasm in the dresser as well, hinting that there must be another body in the room. For the time being, however, they escaped from the room to find that the ghost, who was a young child, was forced to remain in the room.

The other party had located a dungeon under the mansion. It was massive, but empty, with only a few cells and a pit in the center. A hanged body could be seen in one of the cells, and with some closer scrutinization of the pit, a mass of flesh was spotted. After Alex the Wizard began shouting at it to see if it would move, it did, pulling itself out of the pit with a fleshy arm. The party removed themselves from the dungeon expeditiously.

The other party, now free from the child ghost, located a human male on the balcony of the mansion. He turned out to be a ghost, but he was not vicious. He merely requested that his physical body was returned to him. He provided information about the ghosts here, and how they used to be a family that organised meetings with Khellendros, until he no longer wanted such a thing. The man, named Paul, said he was hanged for reasons he couldn't recall, as it was such a long time ago. He refused to leave his balcony.

The party met up, and after another altercation with the child ghost, found the body under the bed thanks to Paul's hint that the twins used to have bunk beds. Information was shared between them. They had located a door that was covered in a pink aura, but no matter who tried, the aura remained strong. Rakar attempted to kick it, resulting in a painful burning sensation along his leg.

The party agreed that locating Paul's body was the next important task. They proceeded to the dungeon, prepared to take on the beast, and they did so, provoking it again, and then throwing everything that had at it. It was slow moving, but it had incredible constitution, taking blow after blow without so much as flinching. Drogtor managed to recover Paul's body while the fight was going on, but realised that he would not be able to leave until this beast had perished, as it was blocking the route to the stairway. He put down Paul's body, and proceeded to attack it.

Rakar fired arrows while York and Alex threw daggers and spells. aaroB managed to inflict great damage on its head, but he was soon grabbed and thrust against the ground, taking massive damage. Alex the Wizard, showing impressive courage, threw his cloak over its malformed head, covering its eyes, and Rakar fired an arrow into its skull, pinning the cloak to it.

The pit it had come from emitted more zombies, which caused a bother to the adventurers. They had been reduced to throwing rocks at it from afar, as the beast began to exude a strange, vile liquid that burned to the touch. 17 Created Water above Drogtor, and it effectively washed away some of the liquid, allowing the orc to continue biting into the beast.

Blind and taking massive damage, the creature began to move erratically and dangerously. 17's magical blade was causing damage, as well as Alex the Wizard's well-aimed rocks. With a final burst of energy, Moobles, having obtained a sword, threw himself at the beast and stabbed it in the side. 17 used her flip wand to disorient the creature, and as it backed up, it tipped into the pit and fell to its doom, taking fatal damage from the vile liquid it once bathed in. 17's sword cut open its face as it tried to free itself, and a bauble of sorts emerged. It was a glass eye about the size of a human fist, and it glowed a pale and eerie purple.

The party returned to Paul, who gave them great thanks and handed Moobles his gauntlets, which he then gave to York. Paul tipped them off about the poltergeist, and they proceeded back to the room with the ghost they couldn't see. The glass eye allowed them to see the creature, and before long, despite the mana depletion from the last battle, Rakar had an enchanted sword and cut it down. The aura disappeared from the door, and the way was opened.

Ulrich and Lunulae were on the other side, and exclaimed at how pointless that was, when they could have just gone around, much to the frustration of the party. However, Lunulae later admitted that the pink aura was found further up along the path, covering the entrance to the cave as well. Ulrich admitted that he was joking, and the party considered his earlier comment of "you're gonna need me" with some irony.

The party was exhausted, and rested briefly. It was growing dark, and they had to finish was they came for. They moved into the supposed dragon's den. Almost immediately, they found very young blue dragons, and found them to be rather protective of their home. The party had agreed not to harm the dragon, however, and did their best to avoid the young ones. York offered the shiny rock from earlier, and the dragon spawn took it eagerly, dropping it into their treasure stash. Remarkably, no one from the party took anything, except York, who found later that he had accidentally stolen a golden goblet from the pile.

They found another sleeping blue dragon, who was much bigger, but were assured that it wasn't Khellendros, and moved on, ignoring it. They eventually came across the great overlord, and were humbled by his size.

Moobles, showing some acknowledgement of the seriousness of the situation, volunteered to talk to the dragon. The others, not willing to risk their own skin, let him go. He moved forward into the dragon's den.

The blue crystal was visible from here, high up on a ledge behind the dragon. It was beautiful, twisting with white and indigo sparkles as it hovered in its plinth. Moobles quickly found that the dragon was not actually sleeping, and was forced to explain why he was there, lest he became food.

Moobles tried very hard not to enrage the dragon, who seemed to be rather amused by the interaction, despite his anger at being disturbed. It was clear to him what the party wanted, but he was not one to show weakness. He explained that he had a rival, the feared red Malystryx, and that he would betray her location if the party slayed her. Moobles, desperate for gaining any sort of favour with the dragon overlord, agreed, and immediately exited the premises, telling his friends what happened.

Khellendros states that Malystryx can be found in a small island at the center of the three continents, where a volcano shapes the land.

Though they did not get the crystal, they agreed unanimously that it was a success in its own right. They decided as a group that they would then head towards Oppon Ima, where Ilin claimed the sinful white Gellidus would be found.

Did we auto-warp to Oppon Ima or are we still just outside the dragon lair?

I don't see it so it may be only you. I did copypaste a lot of it from word, so that might be what it is.

After exiting the dragon's lair, the party had agreed to move south to Oppon Ima, where none of them had travelled before, in order to try and locate the sinful white Gellidus, as well as expand their worldliness. Having no desire to stay in the small dwarven town they had "roughed up", they travelled west, finding that they were less than a day's trip away from a rather large community in northern Mordalheln.

They arrived that night in the golden fields, called so for their endless rows of shimmering wheat that bent and leaned in the wind. York recalled meeting someone on his trip to Heln Mitel who had mentioned them. The party arrived from the north and headed down into what looked like a small village. It was late, but not too late to assume that some people would be awake. The sky was cloudless and the night was warm. The moon shone down upon them.

The village was comprised of over 10 houses, and two barns with nearby silos. There were lanterns lit in the majority of the houses. There appeared to be no one in the streets, and no sign of an inn.

Sorry for the lack of a continuing post, but here it is, so get going!

Might be Opera. Also, the first line of the continuing post has an Oribtal reference. See if you can spot it!

17 nodded at York's words. She would follow his lead; she wasn't very good at "fitting in" and he seemed like the best convincer in the group.

@Rakar: this is a complicated one, so pay attention.

Ulrich glanced amusedly at Rakar as he said the mantra. "I gave that to you how long ago? You still haven't used it?" Rakar ignored him and continued.

The scroll began to glow, as before, but this time Rakar clutched it tightly. The light flowed directly into his mind, and he was impaled with knowledge. He had learned the new spell
Dancing Blade(Magic Number).

Dancing Blade(Magic Number)Your blade glows with an enchanted elegance, allowing the user to move fast enough to strike an enemy multiple times in a single turn.

The user must choose a MAGIC NUMBER to activate the spell. If a critical number is chosen(19,20), the spell will negate the effects of a critical for successive blows.

When the magic number is rolled on a THR and the user has enough mana(2; mana conversion not applicable), the spell will begin. If the initial hit misses, the THR is then given a +2 bonus and another strike is made. If this then connects, the spell begins as normal but the init effects(see below) are halved.

The spell is as follows:

Step 1: The normal strike connects, initiating the spell. -2 mana.
Step 2: User gets a +10 INIT bonus(halved if the initial attack missed), and a second roll for INIT is made(HASTE not applicable). If INIT wins, strike again(roll damage). -2 mana.
Step 3: +5 INIT bonus, roll for INIT. If INIT wins, strike again. -3 mana.
Step 4: +2 INIT bonus, roll for INIT. If INIT wins, strike again. -4 mana.
Step 5: No INIT bonus, roll for INIT. If INIT wins, strike a final time. No mana cost.

Therefore, if the full combo is completed, the total mana cost is 11.

Note: You can cancel Dancing Blade at any time to preserve mana. The damage will not be calculated on your enemy until after you finish the combo.
Note: This spell can only be activated with single-handed swords or daggers. It is usable with weapons that are unenchantable.
Note: The spell can not be transferred to multiple enemies in a single turn.

You really don't have to worry about it too much because I know exactly how it works. Just make sure you pick a magic number.

You guys need a little push, or what?

After a brief, hushed chat with Ilin, Alliah moved to one of the houses nearby and knocked on the door. Momentarily, a stout human woman opened it.

Alliah spoke little Common, but perhaps that helped her case. The woman smiled patronizingly, and nodded, pointing at the barn nearby. She went back inside.

Alliah returned.
"Barn for us," she said. "We sleep night, leave morning."
