He clears his though and speaks. "What does Kolyan Indirovich, the Burgomaster of Barovia own? I'm also looking for a man by the name of Jeref who struck a deal with this town to clear out a large pack of werewolves loose in the Svalich woods. Has he come back? Lastly, what is their story?" He jerks his head in the direction of the cloaked figures. |

Ismark stares into space for a while then suddenly shakes his head and snaps from his reverie. "My father was in control of all the land from the Ghakis mountains east to Nova Vaasa, and all the way south to the Sawtooth mountains. Most of that is the Svalich woods, although there are several settlements scattered throughout. He used to be first under the Zarovich family, they used to rule all of Barovia from Castle Ravenloft, until they were all killed...." He gestures to the castle that looms ominously over the town. "As for Jeref, I have neither heard nor seen a man by that name. Those, however, I can tell you about. They're Vistani, traveling people. I believe they're camped near Tser pool, north of here."

"Just help him with whatever," said Cassandra as she headed back to the house, "I going to work on some things."

Ergo's quick search of the dead man's effects turns up no initials or engraved markings.

Zool finally speaks up to the 3 hooded figures. You're as good as dead if you try and escape this place. we came in half prepared and its taken us about 2 days and 3 nights to get to the town square from where we came form. you don't seem to be well prepared so you will perish.
__________________If you have any information for us we might be able to see you home. He stands and walks over to a window and peers out scanning for any more undead while still speaking to them. if the undead don't get you, the were-beasts will. He walks back and lets himself fall in an empty chair. So are we staying the night or are we heading out? |

Ergo pockets the pendant and searches the bodies carefully for anything left behind.

A small old white haired man sits at a table his robes are red striped with gold and he wear unfamiliar ornate jewelry about his person.

Thorden wishes to alert the people and let them selves be known, but if they are anything like the first people we met they will be cowering in the back rooms being suspicious of us." He scratches his head trying to think. "I have some chalk and could mark the houses with people. the problem is finding out of people are really in there. we would have to coax them out but by that time more undead would have arrived. " |

The man scratches his wiry white beard. So do we have the ability to protect them in the mansion, or should we lead them out of the region. As they are they are undead waiting to happen, and if there's one thing we don't need, it is more of those rotting corpses walking about.

"Well, the forest outside of this area is might have undead but fore sure it will have the abominations of were-beasts. so we would have to see them out of here and into the tavern we came from.
__________________Besides, the job I took was vague on what it meant by saving this town. if the church is where I have to go to end this, then so be it. I haven't been told of any side trips so I guess we are going to the church." He opens his haversack and pulls out the journal. This journal I found said there might be something that can help combat the evil. that's the only piece of information I have come across. |

I would stake that those people would come out of their houses with much less argument if they were on fire.

Zool opens it and clears his throat and reads the journal to everyone once more.
