As Sabba deadbolts the door, Tool returns back two rooms to where she had left the charmed guardsman. He was sitting there, nervously, fiddling with one of the arrows from his quiver. When she walks in, he stands up quickly, asking "Well?"

Tool can't help but notice the symmetry of this floor, and if the guards were to find the other door locked, as it was now, they could very likely move around the ramparts to this door, and gain entry here. Fortunately for symmetry, there was a deadbolt on this door too.

Hurak took a moment to evaluate the situation.. His ribs was not fully healed but he seemed to ignore pain.
Ok then... I Agree with Systani.. Let’s go downstairs and find out where our belongings or simply other useful stuff are... The problem is though, that we must be careful... I am out of healing magic and none of those wannabe clerics carried a wand or something... I for instance, am not fully healed... I am in pain from that bastard's mace and I really don’t know how much more hits I can take before I collapse and then, if I measured you right, even a healing wand would be useless...
Let’s scout the lower floor and if we find a guard team that may overwhelm us lets just release the others... So, make sure we took everything, if there is something that you need me to carry let me know, we will share the loot equally after our escape...

Tool walked past the man and bolted the door in a matter-of-fact fashion, before turning back to him. "Everything went fine. We got what we wanted from the mages without any trouble. But now we have a bit of a problem. Word might have got out that some prisoners have escaped from their cells, and they might be sending reinforcements over. They don't know me like you do, and would treat me the same as the other prisoners. I can't stay here. You'll help me won't you? I need to know the least guarded route out of the castle, and could you also tell me where anything of value might be kept? It might mean the difference between whether I live through the day or not."

She plays on the enchantments effect, which endears him to her and will make him want to help her in any way that's reasonable. She also doesn't tell a single falsehood in her statement, just to avoid the risk of him getting confused. Her expression is as detached as ever, yet there is a hint of urgency. The fact that her objective to escape might be threatened if she doesn't move quickly, is causing the only sign of any feeling she has shown so far. The only emotion that remains for her is that eternal need to complete her objective, no matter the cost to herself or anyone else.

Sabba shrugged as his companions seemed to disagree with the strategy that they had originally proposed. "Very well, we shall not release the prisoners until we need them as a last resort against a group of guards we cannot fight against. Now, let us hurry on down to the next floor down, to see if the stuff down there is better. But we must be quick if we wish to arrive before word of our escape filters in from outside."

His two copper given, Sabba turned away from the companions and made his way back out into the hallway. Once out into the hallway he reached behind him and drew out the enchanted crossbow. Reaching into the pocket of his very loose pants (although no longer too long, they were still too wide, and only a very tight belt prevented them from falling down), the shadowkin pulled out one of his pilferred bolts and fitted it into the groove the crossbow. He pulled back the string and knocked it into the catch that would release it when he pulled the trigger. Placing his hand over the lever that served the weapon as a trigger he padded softly over to the stairwell and peered down it. He made no move to enter the stairwell until his companions got there, but he wanted to make sure nobody was coming up the stairs at them. He was prepared to yank back his head if he saw anybody on the stairs.

The charmed guard responds to Tool's question, "Well, I suppose that since it's raining so hard, the front gate wouldn't have many extra guards, although that'll change really quickly if an alarm has gone up. Is that what the whistle was a moment ago? Anyways, the only other exit I know of the castle is through the barracks kitchen, though normally at this hour there's at least a hundred men trying to sleep in there. I suppose you could scale the walls... We're almost directly above the main gate now... Anything of value? No idea. It's not like there's a treasury or anything in the castle. Or, I don't think there is. Maybe there's one in the basement, though it's been off limits to soldiers for a while - some sort of vermin infestation I recall. They're waiting on professionals to do the de-vermination, they don't want us getting mauled by some giant magical bugs, or whatever they are."

As he talks, he works his way back to the rest of the group, at the staircase. So far, it's been quiet below, but neither has anyone attempted to open the door in the other room.

Garr'eth heads out of the room, slinking along the wall untill he's opposite Sabba. If someone came up the stairs he should be getting a visual queue from the shadowkin, then it was simply a matter of reflexes and timing. Better to let someone more skilled in persuasion deal with the prisoners if they released them, he thought, than to make a mess of their disposable resources.

Tool walks back to the others as the guard talks, and she sees them apparently taking action without her involvement. She takes a step closer to them, out of earshot of the guard. "What's going on? I thought that we were planning to release the prisoners and use them as a diversion to get away. Has something else happened? The guard has told be that there are two exits, the front which would be less guarded providing that alarm hasn't been raised, and through the barracks kitchen which usually has guards sleeping there, but might be vacated should a call to arms be sounded. He also mentions that the basement has been off limits to them for a while, due to some sort of vermin infestation. It might be a good place to find something that they're trying to hide.

"I believe that the best course is to rouse the prisoners and send them straight to the front gate. I could also send this one to the barracks to tell the soldiers there that a mob of prisoners is trying to break out there, ensuring that every soldier in the prison would be focused there, making it easy for us to get down to the basement and search it, then depart out the kitchen entrance. Does someone believe this to be flawed logic?"
She cocks her head slightly in mild curiosty, merely wondering if anyone has a better notion. She has no feelings of upset at the idea of being proven wrong.

Firrian nods "That sounds like a sound plan. Lure all the guards towards the main gate with a riot - as I am fairly sure that whistle is part of the alarm - and then make a break through the barracks. Wouldn't hurt, because there might be a good number of thinks we can swipe on the way out to help reequip ourselves." He gestures using the large box he is holding, "I fear our original equipment is mostly gone, whether it be filed away in the basement, or elsewhere, or even sold or given away - we do not have the time or resources for a more thorough search. Even a single lucky arrow or blow from a sword could destroy any chance we have of making it out alive."

Firrian puts down the box, and draws his sword, black energy immediately flowing down his arm and into it. "Tool, you seem to be the most level-headed of us, and have your own strange way with people. Come with me to incite a riot, then we will all flee immediately afterward."

At Firrian's agreement and the lack of any serious objection from the rest of the escapees, Tool gives him a nod and steps towards the door to the other cells. "In that case, I'll go first. I doubt there are any guards in there if they didn't come at the sound of the battle just now. But just in case, the rest of you should step back. With my glamor still in place, and the uniform I'm wearing I won't arouse any suspicion." She glances over at the real guard hovering uncertainly nearby. "Do you know if the keys to the prisoners cells will in there? Will the ones we uses to get out of our own cells work?" She more or less taking his cooperation as a given now, since he's proven himself disposed to follow her lead.

As she talks, she wastes as little time as possible and walks right up to the door and turns the handle. Assuming it opens without resistance, she cracks it open slightly and takes a peek inside.

Seeing that the others had decided to free the prisoners after all without attempting to race the clock and scout the lower level first, Sabba relaxed slightly from his position at the top of the stairs. This was not to say that he removed his eyes from the stairwell or moved away, but he was no longer poised to charge down the stairs. Instead, he merely kept his eye on them, to make sure that he would have warning if anybody tried to come up. He kept his crossbow pointed at a spot as far down the stairway as he could, prepared to pull the trigger at the first sign of movement. His hand caressed the greased trigger of the weapon he had found with the magi, it was truly a magnificent thing.

The guard responds to Tool, "Well, I'm not sure. I think there's only really one master set of keys to the cells, and if you've opened some with them, you could probably open them all..."

Nodding in response, Tool enters the room, and after nothing happens immediately, Firrian follows. There were slightly more than two dozen cells in this room, almost all of them filled with at least one man or woman, each of them slightly discheveled, but not terribly so. Tool would guess that they've been in those cells on average of a week.

As the two enter, the prisoners all look up, but make no immediate gestures for good or ill. It would seem they believe the illusion as much as the guards did. Firrian's glowing sword provokes a slightly different reaction, and many of the prisoners gasp and sidle back towards the walls to get as far away from it as possible. Seeing that there were no guards there, He immediately extinguished it. This puts the prisoners slightly more at ease, and one of them ventures to ask with a touch of hopefulness in his voice, "Are you... guards?" And then, silence. Everyone waited for a response.

Garr'eth settles back against the wall, letting the cold stone ease the tension in his back. The knifework may have been going well despite the long period of inactivity, but the Torins muscles still made protest at the sudden increase in use. Subtilty was going to be alot harder now they were prepared to release the rest of the inmates, however the uniforms they had scavanged could, at a distance, out in the rain, possibly, cause the other guards to overlook them as they escape in the chaos the debtors could cause.

Systani, silent up till now, approaches the cell. No, we have killed a dozen or so guards already and have weapons enough for most of you. We intend to charge the front gate, who is with us?

Tool entered the cell room and took a look around, appraising the situation. she ignored the murmurs of the prisoners while she took stock of their condition and numbers, factoring it into the equation being processed in her brain, named the Escape Plan. She had only left them to stew for a moment, but in that opening Systani, who had been mostly silent since dealing with the guards in the other room, decided to step up and take the place of dealing with the prisoners. Tool simply raised an eyebrow, but didn't waste her breath commenting. If the necromancer wished to be the one to talk these nobodies into doing their dirty work, then it meant little to her so long as the woman didn't damage their chances.

She stood back and folded her arms, prepared to interject should she feel the other woman had missed something or needed correcting on some point.

Slightly sceptical about the “noisy” approach his comrades had regarding their escape, Hurak sighed…
I d rather go with this plan, there is no time to waste in debates now… Lets us spread the havoc then!
Ok then… Count me in at this
He said and followed the others silently… When they arrived at the cells, he showed no intention to become the talker of this uncanny group. His social skills were far worse than average anyway… He just kept his ears wide open for anything unusual. We has decided to follow the ones that originally thought this plan at this point.
