Treasury update for the next update:
3928 (-600) (+15000) (+7425.9) = 25,753gp 9sp starting gold -spent on jeweler +Adjustment for having not factored in Eli's character, +remains of her starting gold (12k-gear) Also, Gem production should be 405gp for tomorrow. Hope that helps. I would also like to make a small adjustment to my torch placement... first 4 produced go to the jewelers (quicker pay off) and 2 go to the iron mines (using 300 cut gems)... |

It is cheaper, it is 100gp/month for two. This is as opposed to 100gp/month for one. Sorry that I was unclear. Thank you for the treasury adjustment, and the gem stuff, and for your suggestion on how to organize things as regards days, it is an intriguing suggestion. I will think on it when my mind is functioning better. As for the torches, I thought in my post that only the two would have a postive result, but then that any following ones would have a negative impact because of high levels of glare from the amount of light. I was thinking that for gems you need strategically placed light, and that a lot of light would make them very spectacular but be detrimental to actually working on them. Two Jeweler's starting today as noted above...2 for each (4 total) which will raise the production to 700 cut at the expense of 400 cut gems (300+300+50+50). I'm not sure if you basically count production at the beginning of the day, or if you count it from the end of the day... So ya, I'll leave all that to you when things take affect. Its either 600 cut, or 700 cut (with 405 uncut produced)...with tomorrow being 700 for sure.

Ah, I understand now. And I've been counting production from the beginning of the day, so it will be 600 today, but 700 tomorrow.

Oh, yup, forgot to change the gems thanks. Although I believe my numbers led to a total boost of +103, not +105.
__________________And where did the treasury stuff come from? You started with a little less than 4000, I added 15000 and then subtracted 600. EDIT: Ah, went back and checked the threads, from Mizuho. Last edited by Adorios; 12-08-2009 at 12:39 AM. |

It possible I made a mistake on the gems, but ya... Also, doesn't the tax money get added to the treasury? Or do I need to get tax collectors too?
The 15 new people will be the town's weapon smiths making longbows. Also, is it possible to start making breast plates at the blacksmith's? |

Ah, that is what I forgot to re-add when I redid the treasury, I had been wondering how how numbers came up differently (I blame it all on finals). Yes, the tax money just comes in.
__________________Ok, so the cost per longbow is 2' wood & 30 gold each. They need to be planed and sculpted and stuff, so I'll say that you can produce 7.5 a day . And for breastplates, you mean as the actualy armor correct?I ruled in a different thread that armor was 1lb ore per 10lbs final weight and half-price in gold. So for a breastplate that comes to 3lbs ore & 100 gp, I think you could probably make 3 per day at the blacksmith. |

Question... How many scouts/rangers are there in the city that I could rustle up?

Hmm, not very many. You could probably find 3-4, that would be enough to start training more if you wanted or do miscellaneous work, but not enough to make a significant battlefield contribution, which is where I'm starting just about every class except fighters and whatever magic-user you picked (other magic-user groups wouldn't exist. Although you may develop a homegrown priesthood at some point).

I mostly was looking for scouts to survey the surrounding countrysides... Find new villages, new sources of resources... Monsters or more ruins... or whatever. Then I guess if 4 and 4 of the fighter guards... out in 2 person teams in whatever directions (you can randomly decide) to see whats out there... One scout, 1 fighter.
Also, not to mess with you anymore, but lets hold off on opening the weapon smith for another day or two. |

Do you have something you want to do with those 15 people instead, or just leave them there? I guess I should take out 4 for the scouts searching the area, I would assume that your 4 fighters came from the army already activated (unless you want to activate more).

Lets take from the 15 free people sense I am not ready to start making new weapons...
Also, one thing that I didn't expect was such a rapid rise in the number of people when I was designing the city... Is it possible that I can expand the number of houses? |
