Pauph curses the evil ways of his bow, and prays that he'll have better luck next time his turn comes around. Last edited by Kiiz; 11-06-2009 at 06:31 PM. |

Trevor moved up and struck the skeleton with his chain. Breaking pieces of the skeleton onto the ground.
Azz moves off to the side and readied himself for anything that might come at him. Khaenon shoots off an arrow, however it comes closer to hitting the other skeleton than the one he was aiming at. Aran brought upon another spell to aid his fellow gladiators. Gortok continued to cast his protective spells. Zorak rushed into the fray, hopping over the rocky protrusion like it was in his natural stride. The skeleton reached out with it's skeletal hand, clawing into the orcs flesh. Blood dripped down Zorak's arm as he turned and attacked the skeleton with his axe, smashing it to pieces. The combined efforts of he and Trevor have brought the first death of the day. It would not be the last. The other skeleton moved up on Zorak, cornering him between the skeleton and the rocks behind him. The claws came out at the orc and he was hit once again. The flesh was raked from the bloodied barbarian - for once, it was his own blood. As the gladiators moved up farther, they saw two more creatures near the cages slowly moving up on them. Two figures of decaying flesh, the stench of death and decomposition was stronger the farther they progressed. One of the cages at the far end of the arena slowly creaked open ... it was too dark to see what was inside still. Code:

"I think they are mobilizing...we may need to finish this quickly." Aran steps forward and throws his spear at the large skeleton, his spell guiding his aim towards its large ribcage and spine.

Gortok curses as he realizes that he is out of range for melee combat. Marching steadily forward, the half-orc moves as far as he can then calls upon his god once more, this time with an offensive spell.
__________________A few moments later, a magical Flail made of pure force appears over the giant skeleton as if it were being wielded by an invisible creature. Noting the ease with which the first skeleton had been dispatched by his peers, Khaenon turned his attention on the more distant foe. He strafed left and fired off a shot at the creature standing before the cage. With far more precision than the executioner had shown earlier the arrow sank into the flesh of the intended target with a satisfying ‘Thunk.’

Zorak grunted through the pain as he was hit by both skeletal monsters. One of the monstrosities fell to the floor between the work of he and Trevor. He wanted the next one for himself. Adrenaline filled his veins as he was corned by the large skeleton, no where to fun. Only one way out and it was trough the undead creature towards the rest of the undead.
Blood ran down Zorak's body as the intimidating orc was getting pumped up. Zorak gripped his axe tightly. His ears burned with a lust to keep killing, the axe almost seemed to agree with him. The barbarian swung his axe and it smashed into the skeleton breaking bits of bones into rubble and dust with a might swing of the large weapon. However, the orc seemed disappointed in the amount of damage it caused. Position: F6 |

Trevor winces in sympathy at the beating Zorak is receiving.
Eesh, take it easy, pal. We're going to need you later. His breaths come easily as he watches another giant skeleton replace the one just felled. He moves around the sides of the wall of rocks to get a good position and swings, once again knocking out a large chunk of the thing. A wide smile breaks across his face, "Ha! We're a hard pair to beat, eh Zorak?" |

Spotting the ghast appear before him, Azz decides that it's as good as any of a target. He levels his trident and sprints toward the undead. His muscled legs slow only the slightest on the uneven ground. And it does little to distract his aim. The trident pierces deep into the rotten flesh and the wound is made even larger when he ripes the weapon back out.

Pauph wrinkles his nose at the stench from the new enemies they now face, he takes another step and fires his bow again at the new threat. The arrow he fires sinks in to his target, but doesn't seem to do much damage. If I could only wield a bigger bow like those other people around me, it would make my life so much easier...

Trevor stood behind one of the rocky barriers. His chain whipped over top of it and smashed into the Skeleton near Zorak, breaking bones off into the air.
Azz burst into action at the appearance of the ghast. He rushed forward with his Trident held aloft, the end of the weapon jutting into the ghast's diseased flesh. However, the smell of the rotting corpse seemed to have effected the gladiator as he moved in for the kill. His skin paled and he looked sickened. Khaenon switched targets and loosed an arrow at the other ghast that had appeared at the end of the hallway. The arrow embedded itself into the rotting flesh of the ghoulish figure. Aran's shortspear made another small chip in the large skeletons frame. Gortok moved forward and brought forth a spiritual weapon, however the weapon was little help as the attack went wide. Zorak shook off the attacks of the skeleton and with incredible rage, his axe smashed through the rest of the skeleton. The second one being brought down. The first ghast retaliates at Azz, but it's claws go wide. The second ghast slowly made it's way towards Gortok and Zorak. It shambled over the bad terrain, which subsequently, made it's attack go wide. The open cage near the end of the arena shattered into splinters. As the broken parts of the caged settled to the floor all eyes set in on the monstrosity that laid before them. A large figure, half man, half bull. Two sharp horns protruded from it's skulll and a large axe that rivaled Zorak's own was held in his large hands. Pieces of flesh seemed to be hanging off of the creature, others gone all together. It seemed that the minotaur was already dead like the rest of their enemies ... In a manner of speaking. Code:

Pauph continues his chant of encouragement, egging everyone on to do better. He tries to direct the batte from the rear, but it seems that no one is really listening to him. that makes sense, though. They're trying to save their own skins rather than listen to me babble along like an idiot. Rather than waste more breath on a hopeless cause, Pauph draws another arrow from his quiver, and looses it at the zombie. It appears, however, that the fates are consipring against him, because his arrow flies in completely the wrong direction, nearly scewering one of his teammates. Oops! Sorry 'bout that! I'll try not to do that again! he shouts out.

Trevor watches the undead thing approach. He'd normally be a little scared, but he did have two fairly beefy orcs between himself and it. They only had three arms between 'em, but still.
He prepares another looping attack and lets the chain fly when the thing comes into range. Mid-strike, he catches a whiff of something - he assumes it's not the orcs - and immediately turns away instictively, his attack glancing off the creature's head, but still with a good bit of impact behind it. |

Azz starts to spit the bile that started to build up in his mouth. He has to wonder if he's ever going to be able to get the stench off his trident. The thought is fleeting though, seeing as how the ghast still has some fight left in it. He looks for another opening and finds one. His second strike is not nearly as powerful as his first, but it would still do the damage. If the ghast goes down, Azz puts a little more distance between him and the large zombie that just appeared.

The foul stench of the undead abomination before him cases Gortok's stomach to cramp and he immediately feels sick. Fighting through the discomfort, Gortok prepares himself to enter he melee.
__________________Immediately upon seeing the huge Minotaur, Gortok mentally sends his spiritual weapon forth in hopes of slowing down the undead brute. Having done that, he then focuses his attention on the grossness now facing him. With an over head swing of Damnation, Gortok calls upon the power of Hextor to smite the filthy sack of stink once and for all. The mud, however, proves too much for the battle priest and his flail flies wide. Last edited by TPasq98; 11-11-2009 at 09:30 PM. |
