Roland moves to where the gargoyle is while moving his sword to his right shoulder to attack the same gargoyle again. Once he gets next to it he swings in a leftward slashing motion aiming to lodge it deep into the gargoyle's tough bodie.

Nila steps up to the hulking mass of rock and begins her assault. Nila takes a deep breath and pretty much swings wildly at the stone beast. almost having no possible direction or grace to it. However what she is swinging is no toy. Somehow she got her hands on a bronze Broadsword. The blade almost looks like it has a Silver Magical shimmer as it swings through the air. The form she has is one of recklessness, not of one trained in the art of combat however it seems the magic surrounding the blade is guiding her attack.

 

Move action:Move to E-9
Standard action: Attack gargoyle with magic weapon using the broadsword with two hands.

The blow strikes deep within the gargoyle, and the shimmering of the blade transfers itself to the stone creature, illuminating its weak points.
Meanwhile, the half orc cut through the fog in his mind to try to score the one that struck its claws against his armor. Zadkiel was left unbalanced from his attack, but tried again, this time almost hewing through the gargoyle's neck. "Take that! Dishonor Bahamut and you die!"

Alright, I see it is my turn.

He sights his shaft down the bow, then Arturos attempts to hit the mortally wounded gargoyle, if you could call a gash in a stone creature a "mortal" wound. But as he shot, doubt seared through his heart and he jerked as he shot, and ended up completely missing his target.

The gargoyle that had harassed the gnome again disappeared in smoke, this time appearing about Arturos. It slashed down with its claw again, leaving bloody marks on the halfling's chest.

Arturos cries out, and says, "I never knew that this hurt so much! You know what, I renounce my willingness to help the council. I'm not brave enough; let Avandra choose another champion!"

And Arturos disappeared.

The second gargoyle laughed and tried to strike the half-orc, but his claw just skittered off his target's armor.

Roland raises his sword at the gargoyle aiming to strike it hard and sink the blade deep into its chest. He swings in a slashing downward motion from his right side. As the blade hits the target he feels he did well and pulls the blade back after it hits. Looking at the gargoyle he smiles as if he is happy at the attack.

Nila takes a short step to turn around to where her target just was behind her and swings the sword arcing it over her head wildly again. this time the sword seems to trail with a green glow and upon the strike wether it be the intended target or the floor a splash of green seems to melt from the blade to the strike
she then blurts out. "The next person that gives up i will hunt you down and you dont want to know what i will do"

Shrieking as the acid dissolves its body, the gargoyle screams out one last horribly raspy cry, then falls as a pile of rock, inanimate, immobile. Dead.
Zadkiel roars out a cry as his armor is raked, and in a burst of fury attacks the remaining gargoyle, which dodges the strike.

 

Standard action: Holy strike, miss.
Saving throw success.

Arog13's turn, I have a RL friend that wants to try PbP, mind if he joins to replace Zadkiel? He wishes to play a swordmage. And of course, I'll get Bensent2killu to replace Arturos. Right after this last one dies.

Nila gaining a vestige of confidence in herself continues her head long assault on the creatures however she seems to be stumbling a little bit along the way to the other creature with her wild swing being even more wild. even more so that even the magic cannot guide it much.

combat minor action: inspiring word on Zadkeil can spend a healing surge and regain and 1d6 additional hit points. move action: move to e4. standard action:str. vs ac, wolf pack tactics, special one ally can shift one square before i attack. ally i choose is zadkeil. but i think a 15 misses. if it hits gargoyle takes 10 points damage.

The last gargoyle collapses as the strike hits it; in a flash of sulphur the bodies are no more than inanimate rocks. The wooden doors, rotten through time, seem to glare at you, daring you to come in. The doors are unlocked, with iron handles, somehow surviving the passage of time.

(I looked, and Nila's attack was a charge... +1 to attack rolls, and thus hit.)

Roland sheaths his sword and kneels down by the pillar and looks at the rest of the pary and starts to think about what has happened. After a little thought he stands back up and says out loud " the fight was tough but we will be facing tougher enemies a head and it will challenge us push ourselves to the limits." Then he looks at the remains of the gargoly's and his allies, and then looks at the doors and walks to the door without opening it. "shall we takes a short rest before we go on further?"
