OK, I'm going to go ahead and assume that you reach the crystal; nothing else happens until you do so.

As Roland stares through the mist streaming around the gem, he sees a startling scene, and gets a sense of de ja vu.
Two beings, an elf and a warforged kneel, with their blades across upturned hands. They are in the same chamber that the group started in; they seem to be receiving the same message as the group did. The portal in the fire opens, the humanoids step through, and suddenly they're right next to both of you.

 

I completely forgot about Buckner and his reaction... ah well.

A warforged appears next to the gnome, looking down on him. Glyphon says in a flattish tone, Ooh that was flashy. Who are you?

A young elf, unfazed by teleporting to a temple, has his eyes on a old book thats in his hands. As he reads his eyes open more and more. then out of the blue he looks up and snaps the book closed. "Hello, I'm Nauth and you must be the people that the gods were talking about" and there's a look on his face that looks like he's not telling you everything.

Rolands looks back at the seen that just happened and sees the new two people appear in the room. "I am Roland, and I fight for Erathis." he looks to Nila and then says " this is my companion NIla, IT is nice to meet you Nauth." He then looks back at the crystal and thinks about the young elf and how he looks. but doesn't let it get in the way of the quest.he says a loud to the new people "We have lost a few companions while we have been here. They knew the risks that we have to face while coming here."

Nila glances over the both of them both briefly. the elf dosnt get much of one at that, but the warforged seems to be getting examined twice over. Nila does not say a word. there appears to be a look of anger on her face.

Glancing from Roland to Nila, Glyphon says So what now, and whats that shiny thig He points to the crystal.

looks at Glyphon "that is highly magical and i wouldnt get near it. i might not even look at it." then nauth looks in his backpack and grabs a book and starts to read.

Glyphon immediately turns away from the crystal and claps his hands over his eyes.

[Ganger]

Nila grows a very concerned look on her face as the two simply "ignore" the giant magic crystal. slowly she turns to roland and says almost as if it were nothing at all "We are all going to die in here arent we?"
she says this as she then glances over to the crystal and tries to remember what she thought she knew about the crystal.

 

i had an earlier arcana check that was never answered about the crystal just wondering if that applies or not

None of you sense anything particularly evil about the crystal; it functions as a seerstone, one that works both ways. A person can look anywhere with that, but will not be able to prevent who else is looking back.

[Ganger]

"Well seeing as how we dont have the time to dilly dally we should keep moving otherwise this wizard who knows were here will be ready for us"
Nila then starts to walk to the door of the next room. Her stride looks almost like its filled with purpose. She steps next to the door and stops, turns around and motions with her head and a look on her face that says "are you coming?"

With a look of interest Glyphon move to follow her.

Roland walks caustously to the door and stands next to the rest of the group and then looks to Nila and says " No we are not going to die in here, we are strong and we have the will to survive. Please be strong Nila i wont let anything happen to you." He then looks at the rest of the people carefully and thinks to himself. He raises his head high and moves his hands slowly to his sword and shield expecting the worst thing to happen.

Nila opens the next door. It creaks open. Dust flies off it. Beyond is quite a sight; a spiral staircase, made out of worn rock. That's the first thing that comes to mind though. The second impression is that the three skeletons on the first landing are moving. With weapons in their hands.
